As one of those people who was "triggered" by your comments around Kendrick Lamar's "Hood Poltics" I cannot tell you the amount of dread I felt creeping up when you brought that up. The mortifying idea of being known, am I right? I'm glad you didn't get defensive about those comments because I meant them to be constructive and not offensive. The pursuit of is one of the unalienable rights mentioned in the declaration of independence. He’s also been accused of sexual assault by (i believe) around 30 different women since the 90’s. On top of all this, overturning Roe V Wade has cost women their lives. In general I don’t like that man.

If anyone is feeling lost or disheartened after the election, look inwards towards your local community and try to make a difference there. I looked up how many cities are just in Ohio and it’s almost 1000. I can’t even fathom how many different communities are just within my state and I’m stressing about the whole country. I’m trans and there are cities in my state petitioning to be sanctuary cities for trans people so if that particular issue affects you (Jess I seen you in the comments. My heart goes out to you) I would highly advise you to look into gathering people and trying to enact a plan for your community so you don’t have to fight this alone. For people who don’t really care to get into politics, don’t stress over national elections and instead again just focus on being active in your community or even just being a positive force in your workplace. I feel like the only way marginalized people can get through this is by focusing on small scale efforts and by protecting each other. ❤
I'll probably have more comments as I listen to the whole thing, but regarding being in a committed relationship where we use contraceptives: Yeah I have that, and as a woman I'm still afraid. Because contraceptives can fail, and pregnancy is already an extremely dangerous process for a woman to go through, with many ways it can go wrong. And in your case I would think the fear would be even greater, because you might want kids some day, and I never do want them. The people who seem to be in the most danger are the people who are trying for and want a baby, and then something goes wrong, and if you're in a state where abortion is banned, doctors become terrified of doing life-saving procedures, even when those procedures aren't even necessarily abortions! The quality of women's healthcare around pregnancy, in states where abortion is banned, have swung down to the toilet. So I can only suggest to you that if you and your partner ever do try to get pregnant, make sure you aren't living in a red state.

I don't really care who you voted for or why because that's not important, I respect you all the same. But I do hate people acting like the outcome would have been the same with either president. America's options are pretty poor, one major party is a Christian Fascist party, the other is Neo Liberal Fascist party. America's Green party is pretty much centrist and has almost no support. Somehow voters have no idea what each side is offering. The closest you guys got to some sort of helpful state was Bernie Sanders in 2016 (who is globally centrist but in America supposed to be a radical 😂). I hope after 4 years the populace can vote in a more informed manner but my suspicion is that education is going to drop even further which only hurts the people while making it better for the US companies (the entities with real power).
