I will never understand why teachers want to be on stage too, making it no different than a dance lesson. We are there to see the children preform, mistakes and all! In fact everyone wants to see their mistakes! Did you notice nobody laughed. Only clapped politely. I don't think I'm alone in thinking that sadly, the teachers took over the performance.
I have watched loads of these and the kids don’t coordinate at all. Do they get any rehearsal at all?. Over the years our town pantomime have used little kids from the dancing school and they are wonderful. In most cases it seems it’s like a good idea to dress a child up and put them on the stage, but those children look worried when they get it wrong or can’t catch up. At least make some effort to teach them simple steps they can do together and give them enough practice.
I think it's a huge mistake when teachers are on stage with them. The students rely on watching them instead of memorizing them, much like repeating the word in a book when they don't know it vs. actually knowing the word and learning it on their own. These kids look like they're 2, some might be in diapers. When my daughter did her dance routine they all knew it. It certainly didn't look like a beautiful masterpiece but they were skipping across the stage and in circles. There was no one on stage with them. They were 5 years old.
They get very overwhelmed w the audience. Thats what freaks them out. As a parent, yes u do want to see where your $ went but when the time comes, its all about the fun.

That little girl put on a show all of her own. I wonder if she goes on to shine in show business. She deserves to!
