@@gswguy4554 it's a Canik and both my Tp9sfx and my wife's elite sc are fantastic. Over 3,000 rds without issue , no break in period and they eat everything.
I had a feeling Canik would drop this. I was going to purchase the SC last week but decided to wait for shots. My main EDC is the shield plus but love the Canik and trigger. Was looking at the SC or Plus Optic Ready. So now This will possibly be my next pick up. Need to test it at the range.
I just bought my SC at the end of last year. I guess I need to Micro now. For the price, why not. Now its just a matter of the holster manufactures catching up so I can carry it the way I want.
Looking forward to a review of that MC9 vs their TP9SC. 🤔
Same gun honestly. Mc9 is just the updated sc. Similar to what they did with the mete sf and tp9 sf elite
Man the SFX Rival, SW Competitor, Beretta 92xi, and the new Sig 226 X5M (I think M) are all absolutely awesome looking firearms and a great rivalry that I hope keeps all the manufacturers innovating! But the price for the quality of Canik firearms is getting harder and harder to ignore. They have really ramped up quickly.
I got a Rival last year and I immediately was in love with the thing. I am a big CZ fan and have a P10C that I did a good bit of work on, it was my favorite poly framed handgun until I got the Rival. I also have two TP9SA's because they are ridiculously nice for how cheap they are and you don't feel bad using them for truck guns
I bet that steel Rival is an amazing shooter and would be a great lower cost out of the box competition gun, it has to have super light recoil.

I've actually been leaning towards the canik elite SC as my new carry option, but I may just have to wait for this Mete MC9 to drop to see how it performs.

The Rival S will be the gun to have. Why buy a Sig Legion and send it for a trigger job when the Rival S weigh's the same and has a Superior Trigger out of the Box..
A booth at carry optics nationals had a P320 with full trigger job. I couldn't believe how crappy it felt compared to my stock Rival.
Picked up the Mete SFT Pro a few weeks back. Amazing pistol. I'm going to get that Micro for sure!

Humble marksman’s vid on the Rival S really showed what it can do, pretty much neck and neck with all production competitors
I'll be looking forward to seeing more on that MC9 as far as range testing and review. Haven't found an edc firearm that shoots as well as my Shield plus with a 507k on top. Would like to get my hands on it for testing when it hits my local range.
My friend shoots the Rival. He loves it. I shoot the SFX. Rival shoots so nice. He says when he competes, he feels like he is cheating, it shoots so well.

Hmm, gonna need to range test that MC9, hope my local range gets one eventually. Love my MP 9c, but I want a red dot and sending my slide in to get milled.... Might as well buy another pistol haha. Great coverage

@@ACommenterOnRUclips its a bit of a thick gun by todays standards. i was going to buy it, and im sure the price will drop once the mc9 hits the market, but i like the micro compact. i dont have one yet, whereas i have a couple subcompacts already

I don't carry on me ever, i just don't like the feel of ANYTHING attached to my body other than clothes, Heck i don't even have my phone attached anywhere on my body, its in my pocket and that bothers me.
No watch, no jewelry, no ring, nothing. I don't even carry a wallet, i have my credit cards and ID wrapped in my cash and that is in my right pocket and my phone in my left pocket.
If i bring the gun, its in its dedicated fanny pack

If you dont wanna wait another 3 months then get the tp9 elite sc.its basically the same gun just wider and heavier than the mc9.i love mine, it's been very reliable and the price is good.. $419.99 at academy 😁
Cank is really moving fast. I like that rival s. And for what it is the price point is nice. The carry model is not very... sexy... It's small, nice trigger, easy to hide, and cheap. But I may be a little superficial about my guns, I like a good looking sexy gun. Think they went too short with the slide. And being that short and snappy they should have a comp model, or a barrel + comp you can buy separately.
You can get the sc model if you want something in a compact size and not a micro
Canik needs to release a PCC/SMG in 9x19mm and 5.7x28mm.

Does anyone know when the all metal Rival-S is going to start shipping? No dealer in my area has any of them yet.
I’ve been wondering about the straight triggers, which so many reviewers seem to like. If it is a “better” trigger, why don’t companies like Canik put it on its newest guns, e.g., the Mete MC9? Is a straight trigger more complex and harder to manufacture? Is the straight trigger (therefore?) more expensive?
Trigger design and gun Magwell size make a difference in how the shoe is fit for the gun. Its not necessarily about the flat trigger being better, but a flat trigger allows for a more consistent straight to the rear pull.
Do the sfx mags fit in the steel version ?
Yes they do.
When do they release to the market here?
Sometime in March for the Mete. Idk about the other one

Lol kinda but not really. I can understand the disappointment in Walther, but I love what Canik is doing and how affordable their handguns are

We own caniks, plural. They are great, there are tons of great options, something to fit anyone’s budget.

I remember back in the day when a canik was less than $300. Now they're on the glock path in charging more for the same thing.
I would beg to differ.
You can still get that same (improved) Canik model for 300 bucks. The Glock path is, continuing to give consumers the same gun and parts as they did in 1990, yet charge ridiculous prices. Canik continues to innovate and give the consumers what they want all while providing the best pricing and relatability in the market. A Glock comparable to the Rival-S cost $2,000+. Glock doesn't make a micro 9 comparable to the MC9 but if they did, it would cost $700+. Even the 43x cost nearly $600. The MC9 has Ambi mag release, Ambi slide release, mod sights, an optics cut, and it will cost less than $400 at your local dealer.
@@aclaypot3349 Plus the included IWB holster. You’ll never see Glock do anything like that for these prices. I honestly don’t know why people still buy Glocks.

@@bakerz7269 It’s 2023. You can say the same about so many models now a days. I would depend my life in a Canik or an M&P (refer to Garand Thumbs torture tests) as much or more than a Glock.
