Today I'm going to attempt to solve the Hydrant puzzle by Stephen Baumegger which was presented at the IPP San Diego in 2018. What a beauty.

Aww, Obi’s appearance makes a video all the more enjoyable, what an adorable lil’ doggo! Also, I can never make it through a video without being in awe of the aesthetics from the chilled out music, the warm wooden tones and the always appropriately contrasting velvety mat. So beautiful!

Great intro! For a minute there I thought Obie was going to pee on the puzzle!🤣🤣 But he is so smart and well behaved that he knew better! Those wooden puzzles are so beautifully crafted! You can tell this dude does pretty much raw footage because the first four minutes there’s only ten seconds off of the time of the video and the timer

Chris sounding just a wee bit salty about them folks who havent subscribed. Fortunately I am and it's worth it because I watch at least 1 of his videos every week. Great content and always a cinematic treat with his intros
I have a puzzle at home and every time I have a new person come over I throw it in front of them to solve. The way someone reacts to a puzzle says a lot about a person. Some people don't even touch it and give up before even trying knowing they are bad at puzzles and refuse to even try, one might try and shortly give up, one might try one way many times without trying a new way and quits because they can't think of another way it might go together, some might take an hour of many different strategies before they finally give up or maybe they finally get it after an hour. And some might get it right away. Some people beg for hints and others want to do it themselves. What's their emotions toward the puzzle while trying to solve it? Are they excited? Are they intrigued? Are they mad? Are they frustrated? Everything says something about who they are and how they think. It says a lot of information about a person and if we may or may not get along in the future under pressure or if we get in an argument how they might handle it.
I have to like this video just for the intro!! I missed Obi so much! I hope well see him more often

Hey Chris - are you aware that RUclips is putting ads in your videos every 3-5 minutes? They cut right in to the middle of your stuff. I can't speak for others but I'm losing interest big-time because of this practice... 2 or 3 ads in a 15 minute video is horrible. We call them annoyance ads and we refuse to watch them. It's getting where we don't watch videos past the 1st ad. It's too bad... we like your solves.
@ChrisRamsay - it’s puzzles like this that make me want to buy them then hang out with a friend and just place it somewhere in their home. Then days later call them and ask if I left a wooden fire hydrant there. When they find it, I just say, “yeah good luck figuring that out.” or “good luck, solve it.” & hang up haha. Or for some of the puzzles that have a hidden compartment, leave something special in there and tell them if they want it, solve it And to record themselves solving that puzzle to retrieve that prize. Maybe that might be a good idea for a new side show is leave a puzzle somewhere and watch friends/random people (in secret) solve it or have someone film it. When you said “no way Jose” that was really cool 😎 lol

Off topic. I just wanted to say I didn't know I wasn't subscribed and the past few days have been bad for my family and going back and watching you unlock all these amazing puzzles puts me at peace. The one puzzle I want is not back in store it was the slide Maze to open up the rarest set of cards that were worth 500$. I will get one to put on my coffee table with three prizes if done in 10 minutes 50$ 15 minutes a take home puzzle and 20 minutes a set of your cards. Thank you, you will never know what peace and happiness you have given me. Can't wait to see the table that is being made with the sword and flintlock will look like.
