- So this week in Destiny 2, Bungie released the Into The Light Update and brought back the Full Black Shader Superblack! This is time gated with the release of the BRAVE Weapons, but it won't be long, and will be available with the release of Pantheon. For the brave weapon quests go to the lightfall campaign on the Breakneck mission and just keep farming the vex that spawn after the rally flag and let yourself die once the wyvern spawns. You’ll then respawn at the checkpoint right next to the free rally flag so you can farm the kills you need without using raid banners.

@ericknomnom This is one of the first fully clean black shaders in d2 that dosent require you to use just cloth or plated pieces, ofc you can get a similar effect by matching other shaders but this lets you do it with any armour you want.

The armor set is in seasons instead of world or faction, leads me to believe that only the basic weapons will stay after final shape drops. Kinda wish that the whole thing stayed, but whatever honestly.
I doubt the space goes, they just built an entire system similarly to Dares

Honestly it’s only been out for 3 days, I’ve played about 2 hours each day and I’m at rank 11 with shaxx. Really not too hard to level him up to 17 to get it

@chase… like everything else in Destiny, just play the game. Most commenters want to log in for 10 minutes, get 15 raid weapons, go flawless, rank up all the vendors 3 times and get every God roll on drop 1 or they start complaining.

But this mode is actually enjoyable to just play, I don’t have to think to hard for the first 30 rounds, then the back 20 I focus up a little more. The guns on offer are all amazing and the cosmetics are all really nice. So all those things combined definitely help the process. If it was all this grinding just for the shader I don’t think as many people would do it. But not only am I grinding for a shader, but also god rolls on the weapons so it’s a win win which are always the most rewarding activities In this game
Yall playing too damn much. I'm only rank 6. Legend difficulty was rough for me an my squad who were on mics and never got past wave 2. We switched to normal and made it to wave 50.
Yup. 17 myself and I haven’t played legendary. Just pick up all the bounties over and over.
It's kind of scummy to make something as simple as a black shader available for so much work. That it requires max rank for Shaxxx and 12 long ass quests.

getting max rank with shaxx is easy and just use shuro chi checkpoint for weapon quests, i did that and was done with all the weapon quests out in like 15 minutes

Yes they will. They did it to the s3 iron banner ornaments and it removed the exclusivity from that set. It's no longer special because they brought it back.

Finished up all the brave weapons quest in a few hours. Superblack is easy to get.
Oh, I’m getting this shader. I’ll be laughing if it’s in Eververse for 300 bright dust later though. Lol
Edit: Hit max yesterday. Took around a dozen runs, only cleared all 50 waves a handful of times. All normal, never did a Legend run. I grabbed bounties between every single run.
The last two brave weapons will be hard due to the fact you’ll have to kill other guardians in pvp
I believe they did warn is about that. It will be an item to give that "was there" feeling and brag right. Not everything has to be "easy" to get, imo.

yup! the shader is currently timegated until april 30th as not all weapons quests have been released, its fairly easy to get as explained in the second half of the video :)

No, when it said the hall of champions when available until June 3rd, that just meant the event will be over but the hall will stay
that makes no sense, if that was the case then they shouldn't have put that end date for the space specifically, they already have an end date for the event, and they stated that pantheon would be removed on the 3rd, and with the social space also being the only thing marked as ending on the 3rd, it wouldn't be hard to assume that it will go too

I kinda doubt theyd remove it. To me at least it would make sense if the version of Shaxx in the Tower would likely be updated to have the into the light stuff, and they'd swap out the Arcite's so that the vendor is in the tower as well. But thats just me.
So basically, only one key is time gated, and if you get that key before June 3, you can still get the shader

A nice farming place for weapon quests is the large tall open area in the whisper mission. Just head to the lower floor and sit in in a corridor at the back wall and let the enemies come to you. Used to farm there before they took whisper away. Nice relaxing place to farm for about 35mins.
Not sure why anyone would presume it would be available past the event? (although have seen people seem to have thought that) just treat it like a seasonal activity, ie when it's been and gone its gone, it might pop up in eververse at some point.. maybe? but who knows when? ie grab it whilst you can

You can complete the Brave Quests with all weapons not just the Brave weapons.

TOTAL NOOB QUESTION ALERT; being freshly new to destiny 2, how to gain light effects on your armor, OTHER than the selected shaders??? 😅or is it pretty much restricted to once a year event for solstice or so,mething. any gear sets or combos or etcc that would help me Id appreciate it
some solstice armor has glows, the rest are just based on what armor+shader combo you're running. trials flawless gives glows too.
Crota is also glow armor. Whis we had chroma from d1

I just find it weird that they’re straight up removing a F2P event/social space like this when Dares is STILL here. I understand one is supposed to be a celebration of Bungie as a whole but I feel like Into the Light is a celebration of Destiny 2 as a whole. Feels weird that they’d just go “Nah”

I stg Bungie releases content but then time gates it until like 2 weeks before a DLC. I love into the light so far it’s been chill but they promised all these guns and shit and then they say actually 75% of the loot is time gated for another month or so but enjoy the other 25%

Okay so I haven’t played this game in 2+ years so can someone explain in the easiest/quickest way to someone who needs caught up on A LOT, what’s the quickest way to get this shader? Because I want to start playing again; but when I come back it’s gonna be a completely different game lmao. So someone please explain everything I’ve missed or if anyone wants to add me and walk me through what I’ve missed that’d be awesome. I’m a veteran D1 player so I know a lot but what have I missed since curse of Osiris?

I'm honestly ok with cosmetics being unobtainable. Weapons and gear no, but cosmetics like shaders or emblems make a nice "I was there or did this activity" type of mementos.
Im already caught up on the quests reseted and ready for next weeks quest

silver shaders have re-appeared not earned ones. there have been many event shaders that haven't returned as they were from triumphs
It's not what Bungie likes to do, a lot of video games companies like to do limit time events that give rewards

I just completed the weapon quests now I'm trying to grind Onslaught to get the rest of the bottom rewards in the ranks you get from Shaxx I only play for 8 hours and I grind like crazy and I see this I guess I won't get the shader for how much I still grind cause it takes so long and it's going away soon.
