captain obvious here. dont need a 17 minute video. It failed because it was a separate game with a separate price. Had they done what was right, and integrated it into the game, then it would be the most played game mode. fact.
people that play minecraft and find the creative aspect in building and playing with friends with such an enviroment along with community developed modes is what makes minecraft what it is, people aren't just going to play some game that has the superficial link to minecraft but is a completely different game
11:24 The 3 million player figure actually includes gamepass, so the amount of copies sold likely is much lower. Going by the low amount of steam reviews, it's probably nowhere close to that.
I actually played legends, and I was really excited when it first came out because I thought the concept looked interesting and so I played it. It was a lot of fun. It took a lot get used to I actually beat the game, believe it or not and it was okay, I guess. But i felt bad that the game died. Because it had potential to be good, but I mean, the story mode was fun.I really did enjoy it.I didn't play the multiplayer.Because there were no players that could play, but anyways, I did played it end it's okay
It’s a good game, it just runs like a hamster wheel in a plastic box. The game crashes every hour or two making progressing a major pain in the ass because the save system isn’t like base Minecraft where it’s CONSTANTLY auto saving. It autosaves randomly at dawn, dusk, and after cutscenes, so any progress you make that doesn’t happen at this exact times, you lose it all every time it crashes. That’s the major issue with the game. I’m loving it honestly, I haven’t had simple fun in a game like this for a while, but the crashes make it unplayable. And they’ve never done anything to fix those issues whatsoever. They’ve added post launch content, next to no fixes
Funny how the number 3 is such a tripping point, Relic killed its golden geese with DoW3 and CoH3. Meanwhile the guys who left founded BBI... and they've fallen too, mutilating and butchering Homeworld 3 to do so.
Poor job at promoting the game. Every video showing off Legends just left people confused. People couldn't tell what it was, its apperently an RTS, but it looks like a Single Player MMO because of mounts and the open world.
@@ynwl-e4b yeah that doesnt make any sense the best way to handle that is make a short video explaining "Hey I sadly don't have enough time to continue this channel."
Easy: The controls were a nightmare, and the units were not interesting. The campaign was just a series of sieges, offensive and defensive. There was building, yeah, but it was restricted to like, towers that barely helped, boring summon boxes, and walls that were about as useful as an extra hole in your head. Just download the Reign of Nether RTS mod. It's free, and better.
Every time I boot this game up, I have a ton of fun. And then every 2 hours into play, it crashes, I try to reboot, game is beyond laggy, can’t do anything, and then freeze crashes again. Only when I restart the system does it fix it. The game is coded like trash. It’s good game, just performs like dog water
A Minecraft game without the mining and the crafting Its a simple RTS with minecraft visuals nothing more fun for and hour or 2 hours and then you move on
your opening joke was the funniest ive heard this year. that minecraft is the most successful game ever, (maybe with ten year olds) but it doesnt even make it on a top 10 most successful games ever
I was one of those players that played day 1 on PC Game Pass, i was in the middle of the campaign when i noticed no one cared anymore, it became a drag but i completed the game, paid the dlc and did did what i could but in the end i also said goodbye to this game. i always played just Minecraft so i wanted to try to duo of Legends and Dungeons. I played them, 1 was better that the other. In the end i still enjoyed it ^^
its quite clear that their 1 year of post launch support was merely them doing the bare minimum stated in the contract once it was clear that the game had failed miserably
Hardspace Shipbreaker wasn't that great either. It was promising when it launched into EA, but by the time it got fully released it turned out they barely added to the core gameplay, but did add an unnecessary, boring story with annoying characters that no one liked and unskippable dialogue. Oh and they abandoned it a few months after launch too. Or possibly even earlier, according to some.
I remember seeing come out, I was hoping it would work, kinda left it aside cause busy, and now long after, bought it on a deep cut because no way I buy full price. Still didn't get the time yet to see how it plays.
As an example of a great rts game, warcraft 3 brought more creativity, having several races with unique playstyles but kept it's balance, campaigns with variety and stakes, custom games that can be played alpne or with others having ridiculously hard ai for that time even holding up to now and community made maps and campaigns that are just fin and bring replayability Hell, i didn't even know mc legends was an rts game till now, thought it was just a third person adventure game
i was SUPER excited for minecraft legends. before the game launched the RTS genre was already considered dying if not dead already. i was hyped for Coh3 but that turned out to be a bit of a flop. then i hear that there is going to be a minecraft RTS and im already sold. 2 things that i love put together, Minecraft and RTS? the ideas in my head were spinning on all of the possibilities they could do with that combo. then the game released and well this video basically describes the story. personally i was hopeful for minecraft legends to invest in alot of PVE content for players as all the other RTS games with active communities right now are all focused on PVP and how high your ladder ranking is. i could see a world in which minecraft legends could have this niche of being more focused on PVE challenges or operations that require teamwork. sadly the game was just too simple to even be considered competitive in any way. honestly i hate to give this insult out to the game but it feels like your playing a RTS built from Roblox. i have played RTS games on roblox and they were better made than Minecraft legends.
you have a random thump sound in your entire video that is very annoying, idk if it was on purpose but if it was, please dont do it again. if it wasnt on purpose, my apologies
