We have another one and another one.. he have no limits, like his new songs... ' Illusion and Reality ' and 'When the whole world forgets me' and many more. Then beautiful and serene songs like 'Growing toward the sun' we fill bless to know this complete talented Singer/composer/musician. Inquietante e affascinante. Hua lo conosco poco, merita un approfondimento. Grande interprete e voce notevole.
Grazie per un’altra, come sempre interessante e partecipe, reaction a questo grande artista. Peccato che da noi sia quasi sconosciuto; io lo seguo da diversi anni e lo trovo geniale. Cantante e compositore eclettico e talentuoso dalla voce potente e ammaliante (grande controllo e tecnica) e dalla grandissima presenza scenica, con la sua musica riesce sempre a stupirmi e ad affascinarmi creando atmosfere a volte gioiose e magiche, ma per lo più introspettive e intensamente emozionanti, a volte anche inquietanti e spiazzanti, come in questa canzone o in Fake monk. Mi piace la sua voglia di sperimentare, la sua personalità particolare, forte e allo stesso tempo fragile e gentile, a volte un pò folle; il suo essere sempre se stesso, senza seguire mode e correnti, riuscendo comunque ad essere in Asia uno degli artisti più influenti della sua generazione, senza cercare di arruffianarsi a tutti i costi il pubblico occidentale. Spero che analizzerai altre sue canzoni e performances.

Ma chanson favorite de son 4eme album . Elle raconte 7 etapes de sa vie partant de l'enfance difficile (solitaire et sans amour ) jusqu'à la depression (du a la forte pression de ses producteurs et aussi du cyber harcèlement ) Le texte est complexe très métaphorique et philosophique .Sa propre composition , tous les choeurs sont de lui-meme . Actually, Hua Chenyu was born to a very wealthy family & his prominent background is well known in China. His parents divorced when he was 2 & his father remarried when he was 10. Hua's father & 2 uncles run a big business empire involving real estate development, international hotels, property management & other fields. They also hold the largest stakes & have considerable influence in the mining industries in Hubei. As a student, Hua already owned a Lamborghini car & had a reputation of a rich kid & multi- millionaire & he & his cousin drove luxury cars to schools. Hua's stepmother also participates in managing their businesses. Hua gave a 200 million yuan (about US$27 million) new house to the China singer with whom he has a daughter. Previously, he acted in some movies & in a 2013 film, he played himself. He has some lucrative endorsement deals with international brands. Presently, he lives in a big mansion & visitors were amazed at the many branded products there, like kitchenware.

Never have noticed the guitar part matching his singing before for example. This song is part zero to his mental health trilogy. The 3 songs of the trilogy are 1. I really want to love this world 2. Madhouse 3. Conversations with martian children. I really love his newest song Illusion and reality too. It is my favorite song at the moment. For now you can listen to the studio version of it. I am hoping for an MV ☺️ too. Their are also fancams of his Mars concert performances of this song but the audio quality might not be good enough for you to analyse. Another excellent reaction! It was so interesting to watch 7P with you, always love your comments, everytime something new although I've watched this clip so many times already! In this song HuaHua is facing a conflict, he would like to address it calmly and serenely according to his faith (buddhism/Taoism) but the anger keeps building, leading him to madness. Looking forward to your next HuaHua reaction! Ciaooooo!

Thank you for a great reaction, and your breakdown of the vocal techniques he applies in 7P. He once said it took some time to fit the vocals to each personality and to decide guitar accompaniment. Hes well known for blending his vocals with the guitar especially. Hua Chenyu always says hes a multi faceted complex person.. and here he presents some aspects of personality known to him. Not split though. The poetic lyrics are deeply rooted in the philosophies of daoism/buddhism and psycholgy. How resilient you are, how you react to what the world throws at you. At the time he wrote it a lot was thrown at him. Do you fall into numbness, despair, depression, nothingness (buddha) acceptance or do you fight back aso. Or all at various stages of struggling. Song Zero in his struggling - healing process. Listening to it is healing in itself i think. But then listening to any music you love is healing, and gives you calm.

Thank you for your great analysis. Hua gives plenty of interesting performances to dissect. Yes he's great at "acting" out parts of emotions he want you to feel. Ironically he doesn't focus on perfect vocal technique, though he uses it to the max. Lol. That's what's great about him. ❤
Thank you for the detailed analysis, it was very interesting! I love this song and you interpret its meaning correctly, at least this is what Hua says in interviews about the meaning of the song. Hua Chenyu manages to perform his songs in such a great way, because he composes them and feels their meaning with his heart, it's pure emotion without the necessity to to try and interpret what some other person/composer had in mind, as is the case with most singers. I totally adore the whole complexity and richness of sound and different moods throughout this song! It was my favourite one for several years, until his new album came out and I heard his Illusion And Reality, which became my new personal favourite :)

Great reaction, thank you. Hua always takes you to a journey, and give everything in his performance. From a naive voice, to try to be hopeful, try to control oneself, getting out of control, turning into depression, till complete madness, he once described this is different stage of one’s mental illness.
