Hey, Sandra. Thanks for making this content. Knowing about the skills needed to become an analyst is useful. However, I think it would be great idea to recommend a resource for individuals that don’t already have a bachelors degree. Which is what is required by the simpli learn cybersecurity bootcamp, as it it is a “post graduate” certificate.

I have a family member that works in cyber security and they told me that I need to work a helpdesk position first then become a network engineer via certifications and actually working on networks, and then I can start looking into becoming a cyber security analyst or going into the cyber security field all together. I wonder how true this really is, because if it is true, it is definitely a long road to travel.
You definitely should have support experience and some system admin / user access management familiarity to do almost anything advanced in IT in my opinion.
Thank yoy sooo much! As a total newbie i totally love yr transparency and knowledge. My son is also learning Cyber security! Im going to send ur link over to him❤
Amazing video, pretty well explained and informative. I'm interested in learning cybersecurity, starting out as a beginner. Any tips or advice on how to start?
Would it work to get some certs to level up as most entry-level jobs are like labeling everything and everyone in customer service instead of paying attention to the specialized training and experience you already have? Ibm and google certs are the ones that I'm thinking about when it comes to cybersecurity. Would you prefer one over the other to start my journey in Cybersec analyst? Thank you so much in advance
I have taken an introductory course but I still can see far away the opportunity to become a cybersecurity analyst 😅. I took the career cybersecurity Google course. I would love to find the time to study another one, another more advanced.
Hello Sandra. Awesome, informative video. You have a lot of good information in your videos, especially for someone as myself, trying to get into the Cybersecurity realm of things. Any other best options or tips for someone as myself, that have no Cybersecurity experience, on what to actually go for to be able to get hired at Entry level, to gain experience? Thank you in advance.
Is it possible to become a cyber security analyst without: A+ Network+ Security+? I want to just start mastering Linux, python, Splunk, cyber shark etc...
Hi Sandra. What to do and how to start to have the skills and knowledge for who is graduated in industrial Engineering and work with digital marketing? I don’t know about IT and probably a masters like this need some certification or university aligned with the masters right? Person like me can’t jump straight on something like this. Please give me some starting point if you can. Thank tou
I’m looking into the cyber security field and am not sure what my focus should be. If I wanted more information on highly desired certifications or degrees for companies where should I be looking?
I just got my security plus and trying to get a entry junior entry security analyst postion. For the resume should I just I have my cybersecurity skills, or should I have all of my techinal skills / Digital foresenics and cyber security skills?
I got in last week, they dont even ask for that honestly. They just ask you to give a percentage of your overall passing grade. I put 65% to be safe but, we don't even use that system at my school
Hey I like your video The video was very fast for me I was not able to understand some parts of the video. The course you suggest for that person must have a bachelor's correct but I don't have a bachelor's yet. So how can I go further to become a cyber security analyst? If I were to understand this::: * 5+ years experience conducting OSINT and cyber attribution investigations. Where should I get this skill from?
