That Saori weaving is so beautiful. You reminded me that I had done paper weaving a few years ago, with watercolour paper painted with acrylic, that I have just pulled out of a folder. My art has moved on a lot since then and I am looking at it now with a fresh eye thinking about how I might use it. There is always something in your videos that I explore on line or try at home. Thank you for the regular inspiration!
I started weaving 30 years ago and completely fell in love with it. Over the years I've woven fabric strips, but never used paper, except as a kid in school (we made woven placemats using cut strops of construction paper). I think I'll be playing with torn strips of paper & paper weaving this weekend. 🙂
What an inspiring look at Saori weaving, I love your pieces, they're just beautiful and totally unique of course. Love the idea of paper weaving in this way, I might try it with some of my momigami experiements, thank you so much for sharing your ideas and inspiration :)
Thank you so much! There’s so much you can do with paper. Have you tried spinning it or making cordage? I think the Japanese word for spun paper is shifu
Inspiring little video. Love the reveal when you turned the woven paper over, the back (now front) came out so beautiful! 😊
Thank you. I’m so glad you like it

I love the imperfect technique, so freeing. Tfs!
Glad you like it. It is very freeing to not have to focus on the details
I love the riot of colors of your weaving. Your coat is fabulous. Really enjoyed the video and the words for thought. Your Minnesota Friend
Thank you. I was thinking of you when I made the comment about the loom being from Minnesota (maybe that was in a different video)
@@mistikomakes It was in this video about Minneapolis. I thought you were referring to me! Have a great week!
