I've never been able to afford nintendo online so to see people do this as a sort of challenge to what i've been doing for the past two years is a eye opener. Building a new island from the ground up isn't easy but I hope you have fun doing it. Can't wait to see the finished island ❤️
you dont need to pay for it either. they offer you a 7 day free trial once in a while. i always get it when its available

my first 2 years of playing animal crossing I didn't use online, I got really good at custom designs the only thing that was really difficult was doing villager hunts since I had to farm all the miles by myself plus when I failed a villager hunt it would hurt lot more because of the hours I spent farming them were all gone. So I advise you to not spend a lot of time villager hunting on this island. Good luck with this challenge!

@@Sanrio24 it’s actually like 5 dollars a month and I think the year membership is like 25 but I get you the device is expensive as it is 😔 maybe you can look into it more to see if it’s convenient for you :)

I absolutely love the idea of this series Raven! You are the only AC youtuber who I’ve seen properly acknowledge the fact that not everyone has Nintendo online usually they take advantage of the online features and forget how much harder it is for people without online. Thank you for including us who have had to make all their designs on their own for the past two years Raven. It’s refreshing and really exciting to see how this turns out 😊 I’m sure it’ll be amazing as always

I’ve been itching to restart, I’ve never finished an island. Then this video popped up… and i was definitely inspired, so i deleted my island and started again. And my goal is to not to go treasure islands- at least for now. I’ll make myself grind for bells. :)
So far i have Cherry and Kevin. And just used 5 tickets and have ione, apple and beau moving in once i make some plots. (I passed on stu and a kangaroo.)

I just unlocked the island construction options and I have no online capability (or friends 💀) or DLC. It makes me happy to see this is even possible because I’ve never seen anyone play without massive amounts of custom downloaded stuff before!
Im rewatching this and I know it's probably way too late but finding whisp at night and doing his task would be another good way to beef up your catalog.

Nice! Other than the time restraint seems like a really fun way to play. Your starters may have been a bust, but your first 2 nook mile villagers were awesome. Can't wait to see what's in store for Lack!
I’ve been playing animal crossing without Nintendo online since forever, honestly I hate Nintendo online because before I could play Splatoon 2 in peace without having to use my brother’s account. But alas, what can you do, tis the way the cookie crumbles for an adolescent such as myself. Anyway excited for the series, keep on being awesome! 💚

My mom found a nintendo while cleaning a empty house no worries this family moved out a bit ago so they had time to get it. I set it up for me and my sister but never really played it cause wee never had enough money to buy games. My uncle took us our shopping and i bought animal crossing plus pokémon and i didn’t have online so i couldn’t play with a friend of mine sadly :( but it’s so nice to see another person play offline, im just starting out and learning so i’ll have fun watching your series offline while playing along :333

I'm amazed at all the comments from other people saying how they did their islands without NSO. It's kinda nice knowing I wasn't the only one in that boat.
I'm coming up on the 2 yr anniversery of my island and I didn't get a subscription until a couple months ago :P so I had to grind for all the flower hybrids and make all my pathing myself. (Plus I just finished my museum, a few weeks away from my island anniversery). What made me finally get it was just the fact you need to trade with other players to get the rest of the fruit and I decided I had enough of getting duplicate recipes and going "oh, but I can't make these cuz I only have 3 fruit on my island." I've since made up all the DIY and cooking recipes requiring all the fruit so that chip is no longer on my shoulder.

Just so you know, you can travel to storybrook on local play and get furniture that way, because you don't need an online membership for local play :)
Btw I am so excited for this island!! It's gonna be so fun to see it come together!
I don’t have anything online really, I could, but my island has almost always been an offline island which is part of the appeal, all the furniture and everything I have I got through gameplay and grinding it makes my island feel like an award 🥇 so much work has gone into this 😅 almost 3 full years several redesigns and Sophieland is still kickin 🎉
My whole island is offline so I get jealous when people use the design portal to get custom designs for their island :)
P.S I'm sure you've already chose a theme for the next island, but it would be cool if we could get an island themed on Futuristic! (I'm not too sure if there's enough futuristic items in game but it could be cool)

Looks like this will be a fun series that is short and sweet! I myself have played with a Nintendo Online Membership (at the moment I don't have it active) and getting to download designs and visit DA addresses and commune with other players is certainly enjoyable, and adds to the experience. I'm on my third island, FusionRose, and to my surprise today, I got 3 stars! I also had Katt as a starter, and oranges and a orange airport as well (truthfully I restarted quite a few times to get those two former things as I had wanted to have them for FusionRose)

Lol this is literally me, I don’t have Nintendo online but I used to but I had to cancel it. It really is a struggle once you are used to Nookazon and custom designs and then it all dissapears.

i’d suggest focussing on getting diy recipes! they have some really good and easy decoration items that you can craft as many as you want of, unlike just waiting for specific items in the shop or just buying randoms lol. good luck and loving this series so far

I feel like you should still be allowed to use the DLC (if ya want of course) because you don't need Nintendo online to play it you just need access to the internet itself. Unless you're banning everything that comes with online in general

Tbh time traveling isn't cheating, it hasn't been since the first game and I hate how people whose first game was NH came in and decided a feature was a bug all of a sudden. Animal Crossing is pretty much the same with or without Nintendo Online since I've played on both sides of it. The only difference is that you have more variety and can play with friends on Nintendo Online. This comment is not meant to be rude.
