Dude should be in the hall of fame. Greatest fullback of all time and biggest game-changer & playmaker for a single team... This coming from a Ravens fan!
@@tommymeyer9205 he was a half back.Statistically its written as Fullback but his role was 100% like the Hb.Alstott is a more pure fullback and the last of a dying breed
He was the most punishing back I ever saw play the game. Just unstoppable force when he had a full head of steam...there will never be a FB like him again
Mike alstott up the gut one of the best full-backs I ever seen play the game of football I surely miss him if he was in this day and age football I think he would dominate
Man Alscott is definently one of my favorite NFL players of all time! Growing up as a little kid it was amazing watching thos dude just bounce off of tackles and score TDs like its nothing repetitively every single game! Why isn't this man in the Hall of Fame? He is one of the Best to ever play and this is coming from a Raider Fan!
Let me put it together this way people who were huge giants fans or Dallas Cowboys fans or San Francisco 40 niners fans Green Bay Packers fans Chicago Bears Fans all watched Buccaneers games to watch MIKE ALSTOTT PERFORM MIRACLES. HE WAS SOMETHING SPECIAL.
Dude was such a beast!!!! My favorite fullback and my favorite buccaneer! Dude most hold a record for yards gained after the first hit, dude broke tackles like the way facebook breaks news.
Beast mode my ass. Lynch has nothing on this guy, nobody trucked entire defenses like Alstott did. He should be in the HOF no argument, greatest fullback ever.
John Haywood John Haywood it’s not really relevant halfbacks and fullbacks are both running backs. There’s no “running back” spot on a roster so OP is correct either way whether Allstott is a FB or an HB (I personally classify him as a FB despite his snaps at tailback: halfbacks don’t line up in the blocking position in a straight-I formation to lead block on a regular basis), however there is a RB spot in the hall of fame, so it’s irrelevant as far as Allstott’s hall of fame campaign goes.
Hey mate I’m an Aussie who doesn’t fully understand the game but I definitely noticed his feet, not just the jukes but the way he stepped out of low tackles. He uses a technique that rugby players call a goose step.
The first girl I ever dated, from 12 to 20, was nicknamed "A-Train" from her father--a huge sports guy obviously. Growing up with a single mother, I didn't (and still don't) know jack about sports--believe me, it made me feel silly/inferior many times around him. He was such a Man and I really looked up to him. At 28, I'm finally finding out where the nickname came from. It's tugging at my heartstrings to see how much of a dominant force Alstott was--just like the A-Train I knew and loved.
Alex DiCenzo allstott was a consistent all-star player every year in the late 90s and early 2000s. Never a superstar but probably the most popular player in Buccaneers history. He also helped to bring the Bucs their only championship. And on top of that he is a great, humble, and charitable person.
I'll never understand why he didn't get more touches. Particularly in the years where they struggled at QB. The bucs win percentage when he got 15+ touches must've been through the roof.
Packers fan, and i loved watching/picking the allstott/dunn experience. My fav duo for a while. But a train deserves a yellow jacket. He was an ultimate, ULTIMATE teammate.
@chuck yessir I live in st.pete florida the Tampa Bay area he always goes to this little mom n pop breakfast restaurant I saw him there once. Also at a hess store I shook his hand and talked to him and also I'm 32 RN but when I was in the 5th grade I went to mcdonalds after school and alstott and dave moore were infront of me in line and they autographed my shirt. I also went to bucs training camp and meet him too so ya I met him on a few occasions... I'm not bragging just saying he is really cool and a regular down to earth guy... Warren Sapp on the other hand was an asshole
Alstot was fantastic at Purdue when I was there. He got even better and stronger in the NFL. It is crying shame that he isn't in the HOF!!! Never be a fullback like him again as the NFL wants outside speed and long passes. Just think how he could have helped any strong quarterback.
He played low, and you couldn't wrap up those tree trunk legs either. Jesus. He knew it too. How many times do you see Mike put his body down as if to take on a tackle only to juke out of it when the defender broke down? He used every trick and every read. Actual defensive nightmare: 1 on 1 open field tackle against Alstott running 100%.
The problem with being a big RB or a big FB is that you're often given the ball on short yardage plays. The team is on the one yard line,...hand it off to the big Back! But over time it reduces your yards per carry! When it's Hall of Fame time, people look at the yds/carry and criticize the big Backs. Jerome Bettis suffered criticism for his yards per carry. But the Steelers relied on him everytime they needed a yard for a first down or a yard for a TD! And the Bus delivered! The same is true for Alstott!
See I love pure physicality that is what makes football. The way he runs downhill like a train. All that showing off they do nowadays losses ur team yards just run the ball forward not no dumb spinning around doing ballerina. Although ballerina does take skill.
One of a kind player that was humble and worked hard. No flashy dances, talking, showing off. Alstott is a great example of how to play the game.
100%
Dude should be in the hall of fame. Greatest fullback of all time and biggest game-changer & playmaker for a single team... This coming from a Ravens fan!
Amen ty
Jim Brown was a fullback
@@tommymeyer9205 he was a half back.Statistically its written as Fullback but his role was 100% like the Hb.Alstott is a more pure fullback and the last of a dying breed
He wasn't just a fullback he was a true running back
Fullbacks don't line up in the tailback spot or in single I. Running backs do.
You could tell most defenders wanted nothing to do with tackling this dude. Awesome player.
He has a 22 min. highlight video !? That's crazy and shows how impressive the guy was and how fun he was to watch.
Man... He never got enough credit... He should be in the hall of fame
Absolutely. And I'm a Saints fan
100% and there should never be another #40 Buccaneer again!
All time leading touchdowns in TB history.
@Jace Matthews almost no fullback are
Will there ever be another Fullback like Alstott? The dude should be in the hof
He was a great athlete. Most people don't give him the credit he deserves for that. Last great fullback of his time.
How guys like Alstott, Rathman, Daryl Johnston are not in the HOF is ridiculous! Those who know football know these guys deserve to be there!
The definition of a physical runner
Dan Hackmon at 4:30 did someone die?
He was the most punishing back I ever saw play the game. Just unstoppable force when he had a full head of steam...there will never be a FB like him again
Boy do I hope you''re wrong, cause he was so much fun to watch!
People never understood him.. you couldn't hit him, you had to wrap up his legs or he kept going
Riggins was more punishing and Czonka in his prime also. Alstott was great though and reminds me of those earlier backs.
Well if he doesn’t juke you or jump over you, then he’s going straight through you. guys an absolute beast
It was so awesome to watch the A train in action. The best running back ever in the history Barry Sanders, and my second favorite is Mike alstott
Mike alstott up the gut one of the best full-backs I ever seen play the game of football I surely miss him if he was in this day and age football I think he would dominate
Bro this guy was making runs Marshawn made twice almost every year. Bro he is the true beast mode. Get him in the HoF
There will NEVER be another #40 Mike "A Train" Alstott!!! BEST FB TO EVER DAWN THE PEWTER AND RED!!! Oh and a really cool next door neighbor! Lol

@Ray Zu Absolutey
Miss watching him play da a-train is a bucs legend
Greatest fullback of all time 🐐
alex leota ‼️‼️‼️
Azreal Soliz and Lorenzo Neal and vonta leach from the ravens
Bro how tf is this 🐐 of all full backs not in the HOF? That's absolutely disgusting. Him and Lorenzo Neal 🤦🏿♂️
Riggins or Czonka.
I realized at around the 12:00 mark I've had a smirk/smile on my face the entire time watching this.....

The A-Train!!!! He BETTER make the Hall of Fame!!!! The definition of how a smashmouth running back should look.
Liam, he will forever, for ever b in the heart of all of us Bucs fans!!!
Just look at the run at 12:11. Defenders literally just sliding off him like he's covered in Vasoline. Mike was the definition of hard-nosed football.
Lorenzo Neal.. the only man big enough to be a fullback for Alstott. What a combo they were.
Neal was a freak of nature.
I played linebacker and I couldn't imagine seeing them two coming through the hole.
When is the HOF going to call ? This Man deserves it !
So awesome. Thankful I grew up watching these highlight runs as they were happening. Amazing athlete. One tough man.
Mike is one the greatest to pound that rock definitely should be in the Hall of Fame hands down💪💪
That's when it was NFL
Beast mode my ass. Lynch has nothing on this guy, nobody trucked entire defenses like Alstott did. He should be in the HOF no argument, greatest fullback ever.
Any running back who wears a horse collar is bad news
bondero it’s called a neck roll not a horse collar
He’s a full back
@@xzavianpastor7402 he lined up at the halfback position enough times to classify him as both.

Too bad the HOF is all numbers! The A train deserves a jacket! Props to Keyshawn!
The last stop for the A-train will be Canton.
You know you’re a beast when you only get tackled at your ankles
Imagine marshawn Lynch and Mike allstott on the same team
That would be cruel and unusual punishment.
They had lorenzo neal and alstott in the backfield before..l.
They would've been coined as "The Beasts of the Backfield"
@FRED SMARTSTONE simply not fair
NO, HECK NO!!!! LMBO.
The A Train will be in the Hall Of Fame. Choo Choooo!
So many times Mike's primary blocker was Keyshawn Johnson.
Alstott UP THE GUT!! The most frightening words any defensive player ever heard
Legend. So grateful i got to see him play live
I could watch this guy play ball all day. He was one of the very best ever!!
loved watching A-Train run up the gut and just truck opponents..off the field one of the nicest guys you'll meet..,my all time fave Buc
This is real football. You don't see it played like this nowadays
Greatest power runner in football history past or present
Never got enough credit for his great feet. Could truck you or crack your ankles.....
Hey mate I’m an Aussie who doesn’t fully understand the game but I definitely noticed his feet, not just the jukes but the way he stepped out of low tackles. He uses a technique that rugby players call a goose step.

She trucks people?
Name a better Fullback ever. I’ll wait.
Dude! Yes, thanks for that video it was great to see that powerhouse FB running through defenders. A-TRAIN!
Best fullback ever. They'll never be another Mike Alstott. He's the most popular Buccaneers player in History.
Best RB Ever, a Joy to Watch. I love that Guy❗
This is the BEST Alstott video ever 💯
One of the best backs
Its so cool seeing big guys being athletic 🤣I watch Alstott and Bus videos all the time.
Should be in the Hall of Fame
I can watched this dude run all day. Mike Alstott was a fucking beast.
I'll never understand why he didn't get more touches. Particularly in the years where they struggled at QB. The bucs win percentage when he got 15+ touches must've been through the roof.
I loved how he ran like Walter Peyton. A Train was an all around fullback he was good at almost everything
His determination is unparalleled.
Nobody could fuck with mike alstott... There will never be another like him
Incredible balance.
Absolutely unreal
Only thing better than an Alstott TD... was an Alstott TD called by Gene Deckerhoff ❤😎👍
Packers fan, and i loved watching/picking the allstott/dunn experience. My fav duo for a while. But a train deserves a yellow jacket. He was an ultimate, ULTIMATE teammate.
welcome to the Alstott Show the real show!!!
Allstott deserves to be in the HOF!
Original Broadcast clips, sooo legit
Great video thanks for putting together.
That's what you call a beast mode
His vision, agility, and balance while also having so much power. He's a big back but runs even bigger than his size.
Biggest underated full back in NFL history. Guy was a beast.
alstott is a highlight reel waiting to explode
The way A-train reads his blockers n his cut back ability always reminded me of the one and only Barry Sanders
ALSTOTT UP THE GUT!!!
0:26 Mike Breen announcing NFL on FOX back in the day
Also 2:03 the NFL was on TNT back then
It’s like everything is backwards lol
# 7 gonna make Mike proud this year
My favorite Buc and it's not even close
I met him like 3 times he is so cool

This is the real "I wanna be like Mike."
Why he's not in the Hall of fame is just stupid he was the best fullback in my opinion
1 badass fullback
Can't stop Alstott
The Caucasian Earl Campbell! . Underrated and misused. Shula would drool at a second Csonka. Bucs
will always be " Sucks" in my mind. Colts forever!
Greatest ever
Will you be doing other highlight videos like this for guys like Derrick Brooks & John Lynch?

Alstott. H.o.f. the bs straight line runner. He was more than that. Awesome rb.
The A Train push for the HOF. Im on board. I loved watching him. But I am in Tampa.
He was a great fullback with hands.
Soft hands. If the ball is thrown any where near him, gets absorbed.

MIKE RAN WITH RECKLESSNESS HUNTING FOR CONTACT OR I WILL JUST SCORE
Mike Alstott played like a grown ass man.
its a crime that mike alstott is not in the hall of fame
Mike is straight up a HOFer!
PO'ME COLORBLIND
I wonder if Mike and Keyshawn still talk. They had a unique relationship on the field. 19 was always there to congratulate him first.
The way Alstott ran the ball reminds me of Marshawn Lynch or Jerome Bettis but as a FB. What a beast
