    Such hard work but satisfying once you start going. I have bermuda grass that has same growing habits as your fescue. Hate it lol
    Looks so nice all around your house and gardens❤

    I totally feel you! Had to deal with that to prep my pea patch the other day. Just started my corn patch yesterday. I had hubby make my a rolling screen that fits over the gorilla cart, just to sift out the evil grass & weeds haha
    My tip, add more mulch as you clear! Weeds will always pop up…or be dropped off by wind & birds …but the thicker the mulch, the easier those weeds are to get up! Im hoping rain holds off so I can get out to garden today.
    I was around your area Wednesday…almost hit you up to visit lol

      Spontaneous visits are always welcome. 💜
      The mulch defiantly helps with the weeds. But the grass is a whole different ballgame. Working to find solutions and share them. I'm pretty sure hardscaping is the only way to keep it out.
      Hope you made it out into the garden!!

      @@EsthersEden We had grass like that in our old garden…hated it! (Believe ours was called crab grass) It still grew, but over time, there was less & what did grew was sooo much easier to pull up! Actually have something similar here too & it’s easier to get up with just 2 years of mulch.
      Was just too cold out …didn’t make it haha
      I will definitely hit you up next time I’m out that way..

      I think I just need to choose areas I weed the grass out of like crazy and let the rest do what it's gonna do. Still contemplating options. LOL. Looking forward to a future visit.

    Your strawberries and asparagus are mixed together in the patch?

    • @EsthersEden
      @EsthersEden  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yep!!! Double harvest in the same space. Asparagus is planted 12" -18" deep. Strawberries about 6" deep... this way the roots do not take up the same growing zones. I'm really happy with this method.

      That’s good to share w us. I don’t have enough property for any asparagus but my kids do.
