Building a Chicken Compost Bin! (How is compost made?)

In today's upload, I am going to build a compost container to go in my chicken yard! The thought process is, the hens like to dig through the scraps to get the snacks, so why not let them turn the soil for me! This project is a simple design using recycled materials left around the yard! At the end of the video, I "break down" the science which makes up compost, and how to make it yourself! Very nice video. I searched for "Compost Builds". Your channel came up.
I built a bin today out of garage doors and cinder blocks.
I have a ton of tree limbs and leaves, that have come down over the last two weeks.
We have had a lot of storm and storm damage.

Curios how your chicken compost bin is working out? I think my chickens would scratch everything out of that, but I know you were planning on adding sides.

Whenever I remember to add the garden scraps, they till it around and it all stays in! But it's definitely something I need to work on...because just adding greens isn't going to make good compost. So throughout the season, I'll probably toss some brown materials in there as well!
