I was using Phenix axis 30-80 rod 8 foot, Penn fathom 30 with 65lb braid to a 4 foot 80lb mono leader. Some rods had 65lb braid with 20 yards of 50lb mono top shot to leader. As long as you have a rod/reel combo with 300-400 yards of line that has good drag you will be fine.
