Another great video. I like that you guys are being the report for tuna. You never know until you get out there and try. Nice limit of rock fish. Thanks for sharing. Tight lines
Great video. I’d love to see a video about where to go to fish for the different species. Like how far out, what to look for on the maps, terrafin etc.
Thanks for taking the time and burning the fuel to look for the BF. I am going to go out searching for larger black cod. Would love to get some 10 ponders instead of 2 pounders
@@DDFishingCo I learned that the electric reels are a big time labor savor. I fished solo and could lower 3-4lb weights without my hand on the reel and stay on my rear steering station keeping the line vertical. While searching for fish checking different spots the reel never got tired. I certainly would have.
I wouldn’t say it’s unusual. Anything can happen on any reef. It seems like some patches on certain reefs have similar species. Sometimes you’ll catch a bunch of yellowtails then a bunch of green splotched, then a bunch of lings, in this case we ran into a bunch of yelloweyes.
Isn’t it kinda weird how some of these fish have been down there decades, growing that big; all it takes to stop that is banging a piece of metal once or twice on their rock? You’d think as delicious as fish tacos are, they’d be harder to obtain! Nice haul
Thanks man! We do sub giveaways from time to time and take out subs out. We will talk about it on our channel the next time we are going to offer that.
@@DDFishingCo yep, had no idea what a starry Flander was a few years ago and that did the trick. It also pulled up the CA size/limit automatically too. Bought me a few bonus fillets
Rockcod are notorious for eating just about anything. We have drifted hi lo rigs with squid and at times we don’t get bites. We were hooked up just about every drop within seconds.

Absolutely man, thanks for watching ! 👍
Another great video. Would love to see another one of the shark trips, maybe even a thresher fishing vid would be cool too.
Thanks man, a thresher video would be awesome!!
Gr8 day on the Rockies guys!!! LOVE it!!!

What are you using for a descending device?
SeaQualizer Descending Device - Standard 50-100-150 a.co/d/2jlIBw3
Something like this works!

Black cod would be fun, we have been wanting to go after them once we get some good weather

@@fishhunt9874 I recently tried my first electric real. I loved it
You out at Rittenburg? Was the # of yellow eye unusual out of bodega? Great job.

Were you out at Rittenburg? Was that a high # of yellow eye for out of bodega? Good job on the video.
Thanks for watching 👍
For that style of bottom fishing, checkout a sliding kabura, OTI Flayer Jig, or Shimano Lucanus. I bet those would all be killer theres.
Thanks man we will check those out !

Haha it’s true you send anything down there you are bound to pick up something at some point. The rock fish are some of the best eating too.
Damn I would love to go out with you guys one time!

Tip for figuring out that species you caught would be using google lens. Has helped me in the past
Great tip Michael, we will have to get that on our phones. Totally forgot about google lens.

That’s awesome man, it’s a great tool when you are out there on the water.
Squidtrex is cool but rockcod will literally bite anything even a plain hook
