It is scary but very brave to put your work out there, but keep doing it - we don't want homes filled with generic Ikea prints or people all wearing the same drab clothes. You make the world a brighter place 💕
Extremely enjoyable video! I like your content in general, but I find watching you repurpose art and frames particularly interesting. So creative. More, please! 😮
I love your personality, your style/taste and your techniques! Looks so effortless on you.. ❤ One thing I think I never mentioned: I like the music in your videos a lot!
Renovating, thrifting, repurposing, collage, supportive parents, adorable dog... just when I thought it couldn't get any better, now there are art markets? Yay! I really enjoy your channel.
ive been meaning to comment this but your art process has really struck a cord with me lately. i lost touch with art for so many years after needing to have it be perfect or a certain way or whatever. i really want to just lean into seeing something for what it is and exploring art again. thanks for sharing your art.
Aw I love this so much! Yeah I’ve been leaning into choosing my materials and finding a good headspace… and then just letting a flow happen. It’s been really freeing and has yielded good results I think 😊 Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! ❤️
@@starsofwonderdude yes! that's exactly it, like i didn't realize how much i missed exploring and creating for the sake of doing it and not for sharing an outcome.
What a PHENOMENAL display of your Reissued Art!!!!!!!! (: You are REMARKABLY clever and produce such quality workmanship. Your channel is QUITE inspiring to Me and I APPRECIATE YOU! MUCH Love & Respect.... Deborah
You are very lucky to benefit from your parents' help ! Artists need their family's support, when needed. Exhibitions, sale events all require a lot of details, photographing of the artwork for documenting the event and so on.... I am glad you also presented clothes presented, in order to sell. Unfortunately, the public doesn't understand art, unless the artist gives it away.
I’m so glad I’ve found your channel! You share everything I love - home restauration, home decor, art, recycling, clothes, sewing and upcycling plus I like your whole vibe 🫶🏻 I really felt the excitement when you prepare for the market day and the actual market! I do textile upcycling into pillows, bags and things like that and sell online and at exhibitions so I know how it feels, and also how one never knows what’s gonna sell and how much and what people are gonna think and say about your stuff, just like you explained. I really love your collage style art and your ecclectic style of home decor! Love from Sweden ❤
I’m so glad you found me too Eva! It’s so nice to hear that I’m not alone in my market prep feelings! Thank you so much for watching and sharing your kind thoughts ❤️
Loved the art pieces this week! “Anywhere with You” is my favorite, but I’m also strangely drawn to “The Botonist”. Whether it’s home reno, diy decor, or fine art you keep me interested. ❤
Really fun to watch your thought process as you create, and to see how you reuse things. Love the trying not to overthink, using what’s on hand or available, and creating beautiful things with limitations.
Aw thanks Jo! And you’ve been with me on this journey from the very beginning! ❤️🙏🏻

I would buy a couple of those smaller ones, for real. It’s doable for me. I just need to put them in my budget. However, I love all you do. I really do.
Miss Queenie is a little sassy in the morning! She looks adorable in her little hoodie. I've only done painting and drawing, but you now got me interested in incorporating collage into my artrwork. The closest thing to a collage I've done is decoupage on a coffee table and some kitchen chairs.
You are so creative! I have no original creative thoughts and have to borrow from others but you have been gifted to imagine and then see it through to fruition. I love your art videos best! What amazing and supportive parents you have. You are blessed!!!
So glad you grabbed the blue frame, you did exactly with it what I thought I'd do to it, it looks stunning. Market days are so much fun! (although about half way through unloading is the time I think I'm going to take up carving balsawood jewelry . . .) you are lucky to have your folks willing to help.
What fun! BTW, If you come up short finding painting surfaces/frames after the thrift store scouring, you might try Ross. (if there is one near you) They periodically have pre-stretched canvases, drawing pads, paint/pencil sets at greatly reduced prices. (albeit not thrift store prices) Cheers Andrew.
Good suggestion! I have found some amazing deals on high end art supplies at Ross. Not thrift store prices but not Blick either. Worth a walk through every couple of weeks.
I do love these vintage looking collages! I love how you incorporate the frame into your art piece. I use similar photos in my collage work and have been experimenting with various approaches. Some are Ok and others... not so much, LOL. Very much a learning process! Thanks for taking us along on this venture. Lovely work. In fact, I just made a purchase and wish my budget could handle more!
Me and my bestfriend just did our first pop up market a couple of weekends ago (we sell vintage decor) it was super nerve wracking but so rewarding just seeing a few people light up when they really love a piece. Kudos to you and all your hard work 😊
Local, open-air markets are, indeed, nerve wracking and great fun. I loved the the obvious joy people expressed as they posed and twirled, modeling your creations. I have no desire to carry a handbag, so why am I so obsessed with that pink one? Sorcery, I'm sure. This was a blast! Thanks for bringing us along and sharing your frenzy of creative energy!
“The Botanist” “First Breath” and “Anywhere With You” are all so beautiful! In particular, “The Botanist” really struck a chord and I am so bummed I somehow missed this upload in my notifications last week and it already sold from your site!
Thanks Sean! The art videos don’t always have as much reach, so be sure that you have the notifications turned on. I’ll be doing more smaller works like this soon!
Thank you! I mostly do a little Googling until I find something that resonates. But for future work, I’m hoping to start sourcing photographs at vintage and thrift stores that I can scan and start from
Thank you for sharing your art process; it's inspiring. I found an early photo of Estelle Winwood, the actress who played Aunt Enchantra on Bewitched, and have been trying various treatments similar to yours. I'm letting it gestate, planning to add more layers as time goes on...
I've started participating in markets lately, and it's really impossible to tell what's going to sell and what isn't. Some markets, I get a lot of comments and interest, but no sales, and some I get sales from the get-go. It's a surreal, nerve-wracking experience, for sure.
As an artist it’s amazing just to talk to people. Usually my voice is gone by the end of the day. I usually have a guest book for people to sign and leave their info. Contacts are important to collect. If they start following you (channel, page, etc) then maybe they’ll buy. I’ve had a lot of commissions from contacts. So even if I only sell enough to make the booth fee I end up with clients later. Think of it as a relationship. ❤
I love the tiger purse. Gives me Life of Pi vibes. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the craft show. I do 4-5 craft shows a year. Each time it’s hit or miss. Based on the people attending I guess. I love some of your displays. Could you do a video on that? Did you make them yourself? Thx for sharing. ❤❤❤❤
What kind of paint do you use on leather? Is it acrylic? Too bad I'm in an other continent. I would love to get that pink bag😊 You ars a fantastic artist ❤
Love your artwork videos, they are so inspiring! What kind of paper are you using to print your portraits? Just standard printer paper or something more substantial?
Many people are influenced greatly by the titles of art works and if it doesn't resonate or fit in with their decorating story, they won't buy. I'd suggest you do something like consistently have three words in your titles and pick vague combos and non sequiturs; so instead of "The Botanist," perhaps "Botanic Sea Uncle" or "Remembering Future Flowers" or "Forever Pink Club"... Just a thought.
It is scary but very brave to put your work out there, but keep doing it - we don't want homes filled with generic Ikea prints or people all wearing the same drab clothes. You make the world a brighter place 💕
