I am 100% team Rumple is this. It might have been part of his plan but Ella was a b*tch to try and back out of the deal. SHE'S the one that asked for magic. SHE'S the one that signed the contract he provided WITHOUT READING IT. SHE'S the one that ignored his multiple warnings before the deal. And then when she got what she wanted. She didn't want to pay up. Charming is also a bloody hypocrite here because without Rumple he'd never have saved or even MET Snow and he and Snow are more than fine going to the Dark One when it benefits them. But when it looks good to be on the side of pure light oh no suddenly Rumple is a scourge.
