She runs on the good stuff yes ? The stacks seem to shmoke as much as you guys ha ha ha ha !!! Great build and great sound . She whistles after she has a good toke 😁🤣😎👍👍👍👍👍
Why does that look like a 2-71 not a 3-53. The 71 series has the valve cover screws through the top and the 53 series has a sheet metal valve cover with screws along the sides. Still looks good though
Nate Roth.... The later series 53 engines also had the Cast covers just like the series 71 & 92 engines. The inline Series 71 engines did not look or sound anything like the little series 53 engines at all, other than they were both inlines. The Series 53 engines used straight 2 lobe rotors in the blower, and the series 71 engines all used helical (twisted) 3 lobe rotors, exhaust and mechanical sounds from the series 53 engines are much higher pitched (whinier) than the 71 engines.

That's an awesome car. You can't beat the sound of Detroit Diesel. My heart races, start to drool, palms sweat, must be I'm in heaven.
That’s a VERY HEAVY engine for an old Rod.
No kidding. That engine weighs about 1000 lbs.
A beautiful machine. Hats off to you
A gm diesel in a gm product. Way to go about keeping things "original", for lack of a better term.
Looks neat. Better with air to air intercooler. I have that on my 8V-71-works very well to cool the bus-course, you're not pulling nearly 35,000lbs.
Nice, clean installation! Great job!
What a lovely machine
Sick truck
Running 55 injectors and upped the governor to 3000rpm
Where can I find some 55 injectors like that? Also did you tune the injector pump?
Beautiful
Nice street rod.
You have an exhaust leak where the turbocharger bolts on to the exhaust manifold.
Love it 😊
Uuffff 💯
I would drive it
The Green one I build afterwards and that's running a 8v71. Follow link below
The 3-53t looks twice it's size.
