The Leader of ocean tribe wife was Kate Winslet of Titanic fame! Also Cameron fame! She learned to hold her breath longer than anyone on set. Even longer than Tom Cruises record!

People found it an underwhelming sequel especially coming from the "Master of Number 2s", but I know that Cameron is not gonna blow his Superior Sequel Card this early in his saga. And now thankfully due to Way of Water's success he will now be able to masterfully conclude it as well.
But an important point to add : the Way of Water should be considered as Avatar 1.5, and the third movie will be the sequel conclusion, although TWoW has it own emotional and story resolution. (originally 2 and 3 was one film, but had to be split in two parts)
That's why there are some complaints about supposed plot holes and rushed characters treatment. But it will pay off. It's a saga after all and it's clear as you said that Cameron put a lot of effort about going crescendo emotionally and orchestrate the story properly until reaching an intensed conclusion ! (he learned that with The Abyss)
@@Matters84 that is what makes him unique that is why people really don’t get it that is why we are the ones who do.
@@Matters84Simply put, anyone with a big story knows no matter how popular you'd have to get your audience reacquainted with the familiar before branching out to the deeper challenging.
And Cameron did that with reintroducing us to Pandora without being repetitive and that's certainly not "ripping himself off."

You got confused about spirit tree, they weren't saying they had their own Eywa(god). Each clan has their own sacred tree, linked to Eywa. (All their Godess) The forest tribes tree is where Jake became Navi, where Grace joined Eywa and Grace then confirmed she was actually with Eywa & that she is in fact real. They just didn't show us what Grace saw. Eywa is definitely Kiris special jesus child who will be a big help for the future fights/defense of Pandora.
All the NaVi people need to band together to fight the humans. I believe Kiri, the daughter of Ewya & Grace will be a key player, someone who plays a very important role.
The humans plan is to take over Pandora this time, so they will probably plan to kill most Navi. However, first they have to take out the main Navi threat & leader of insurgence. Remember Jake being a marine in his human life, helps the Navi alot with knowing the enemies ways of thinking, their tactics, strategies, ruthlessness to nature & goddesses beautiful creatures, such as the Tokunn.
I had a soft spot for Loak (mini Jake) instantly, since he's so much like Jake & reminds me of Jake in 1st movie, in many ways. Also noticed & liked how the kids acted and looked more like, who they took after too.For example Neteyam the golden child, was perfect Navi son who inherited 3 fingers like his mom, whereas Lo'ak has 4 like Jake/humans, he also was more interested in guns & closer to Spider i believe, since they had nicknames for one another. Very upset and angry over many of Spiders choices after everything he saw & or caused being done.
I truly loved this movie and hope they release the 9 hour uncut version, because I'd love this movie to be longer.
Also to be fair on Jake, the humans would have eventually attacked them, since they would eventually hunt their Tokunn spirit siblings. Hunting Tokunn was always about funding.
Even though it also broke my heart with Neteyam & especially the ending scene with him and his parents. I bawled like a big baby after losing Neteyam. 🥺😢😭💔
….caused? the only bad thing spider did was at the end of the movie where he saved the recom💀 everything else was fine. Not spilling info about the clans location despite being neurologically tortured and spending over half a year with the recoms since no one bothered to rescue him, him saving the reef villagers lives, him destroying the ship, him helping Jake find his daughters, and being the one used for revenge by neytiri. :/
This was a pretty good sequel and can't wait to see what what the final chapter of The Avatar saga has in stored. Awesome reaction Reembok
btw norm obviously didnt know what he was talking about when he examined kiri lol eywa doesnt cause her seizures that was because of the grace encounter, something is preventing grace from revealing who kiris dad is for the time being

My best moviegoing experience was seeing Avatar 2 in -IMAX- Dolby Cinema 3D. Before that, it was Avatar 1 (saw it for the first time in 2022). Dunkirk in 70mm IMAX was the third best.

Avatar is such a beautiful film! It's one of my favorite films along with "How to Train Your Dragon" you should watch it (if you haven't), There are 3 films in total and they are magnificent!
You should totally check out the cut and extended scenes. The scene called, "Parents From H**l" is particularly great.

I loved both movies. I loved this movie... I only have two issues with it. Neytiri's unwillingness to change her attitude towards humans that have never wronged her is super annoying and unnecessary. Her constant hostility towards Spider is... ugh. The second issue is bringing back Sigourney Weaver to voice Kiri. Not that I dislike her in any way. It's simply the fact that she does not have a convincing teenage voice and she lacks the voice acting skill? Maybe. I dunno if that's the right word. She lacks the emotional temperament behind her words/scenes I think. Other than those two issues which don't ruin the movie, it's pretty darn good.
