I always believe knowledge outweighs techniques. Before we get to the WIP and tutorials, I'd like to share with you what goes on in Kughee's mind as he builds his resin kits. I also know lots of people have and will ask where they can buy resin kits, and a video for that is coming!
Hey can you please make a video how to prepare regular gunpla and resin parts for painting, like how much sanding needs to be done and also cleaning with the ultrasonic cleaner. Thanks love your videos :)
Thanks for doing this. I feel like I see so many fantastic Korean builders, but their knowledge and techniques are hidden to me since I don't speak Korean. I've been wanting to learn more about resin kits. Thank you Kugdai!
Kuhgee episode yeaaaaah! Just seeing all those kits I was in heaven, that Neograde 1/60 ZZ oh my!! Too bad Neograde no longer exists, they made some of the best kits hands down...
The Sazabi, the Jagd Doga, the Kampfer, the ZZ, and the Zaku all made me drool when I saw them. I’d love to see Kughee’s RX-78 resin sculpture, since he chose that as his favorite kit.
I bought with the intent to build it each time and each time I knew I didn't have the time to take on such a long project. I used to buy everything direct from G-Systm shop. I had all of there kits at one time, even the 1/35 Ex-s but sold 95% if it all when I switched to figures.
@@frostedsnow No for a few years. It's easiest to send them an email and ask what they have in stock because their website isn't accurate. It takes a while to hear from them as well. It's just a slow process. But they do have points you earn that can be used towards the purchase of future kits. When I bought the 1/35 Ex-S I basically was able to get a free 1/72 kit.

@@frostedsnow I'm a loud person on and off the keyboard haha..The ver ka looks great and the zz is slowly becoming one if not my fav ms. I just put in an order for a double zeta and was wondering what resin kit was used
Very informative! Kugdai is the teacher I never knew I needed! Their is so much I have to learn! Im glad I have you two to guide me on this fun hobby and hope to be half as good as Kughee!!
Great video! I just got interested in resin kits, I've studied how to build them and what techniques go into prepping them. I have bought some resin conversion kits and some full resin kits and I plan to build them soon.
I am really not that talented when making regular Bandai kits but wow, that Sinanju inspires me to get better. I need to have that some day in my life.
I like how your husband's works/works in progress, is shown here on your YT channel. Actually I started following him on IG when I saw you promoted him on one of your videos. I look forward to more of his videos.. of course yours aswell! 😁🤙
I agree about matte colors instead of glossy. That’s very good advice. I wish I could afford to build more resin kits. I’ve only built one and it didn’t come out so good. I think it was a sloppy recast because the parts didn’t fit very well.
Great topic, although I’m not ready for resin yet. Love the work, not plain not flashy, perfect. Love seeing Sazabi non candy coated amor, always like the flat look with grey inner frame and metallic accents.
1 more question he usual uses flat for top coat, do you flat over the metallics or keep them separate. I tried it once and didn’t go so well, but seen others do it. Just struggling with it. And help would be appreciated .
Your builds and painting are very well done I would like to get even a little bit as good as you I no you must have made quite a few kit's to be at a level like your at, with such a level of detail you could even sell some of your work if you were short on money, I wonder? ahh its none of my business dont answer that! keep up the grate work you guys do thank you.
There it is! Woot woot! I never thought that G System is a resin kit. Can you make a video on masking, i notice your paints are so clean, i mean they are on point, no overlays.... :) :)
Well Gsystem is a major company that produces resin kits, but there's loads others. I'm not sure if there will be a full out tutorial on masking in the resin series, but it'll come up somewhere i'm sure in a WIP!
so my favorite gundam series is g-gundam and i heard about the devil finger kit from WAYYY back where they are arms that pop out from behind the devil gundams shoulders, i cant find any recent reviews or paint jobs on it and was wondering if it would be worth it
Nice explanation regarding kits. I have request for you...can you make a video regarding sites like wish/ali Express etc? Because there is controversy going on what they selling on this sits. Maybe you two have some knowledge about this so you can put some light what to buy and what not or are they original of fake and how to recognize them? Thanks and keep up with a good work, looking forward in to the new video's...O yeah you have got a new subscriber.
It'd be dipping into a pretty controversial topic, but I'll consider it. To be honest, in the end, it's everyone's personal choice. You decide what products you endorse or not, as do we. Also, thanks for subbing!!
We don't use spray-cans, but you absolutely can. However, resin requires a lot of masking to do color seperation. I'd feel like it's a lot of fine detail work to do while can spraying, but totally can :)
Thank you so much for the information!! Learned a lot. I still cannot see the benefit of resin compared to Bandai kits, though. How much detail difference are we talking about and is it worth the price difference? Because in Singapore or Malaysia/Indonesia, the price is very very expensive. Sorry to ask, totally noob here. I am interested in resin as a new knowledge/experience, as it might help me to become a better modeler. It is a new thing for me.
It's night and day, especially if you see it in person or look at a picture of the respective kits. Even the size, these are all quite huge, and no Bandai kit has this kinda detail. However, the extra effort (and money) you have to put into it is also just as huge, so it may not be worth it for everyone!
I always believe knowledge outweighs techniques. Before we get to the WIP and tutorials, I'd like to share with you what goes on in Kughee's mind as he builds his resin kits. I also know lots of people have and will ask where they can buy resin kits, and a video for that is coming!

I'm happy to see him featured and discussing something that he enjoys a lot! Thanks for your efforts with the translation
Thanks for doing this. I feel like I see so many fantastic Korean builders, but their knowledge and techniques are hidden to me since I don't speak Korean. I've been wanting to learn more about resin kits. Thank you Kugdai!
Right! So many awesome builders who don't speak English. Glad we can provide a little insight 👍🏻👍🏻
Aiming for completion, picking the right colors and keeping a kit visually coherent are all excellent points.
Getting the basics right!
You guys are experts. A huge thanks for always providing helpful videos from you and you cookie.
Our pleasure!
Really cool to see resin kits for the first time, I didn’t know they were a thing.
I didn't either, but once I did, it's become a kinda end goal!
Kuhgee episode yeaaaaah! Just seeing all those kits I was in heaven, that Neograde 1/60 ZZ oh my!! Too bad Neograde no longer exists, they made some of the best kits hands down...
Yeaaaaay! lol. I'm a huge Sazabi fan, and I always say the Neograde one is my fav (compared to the Gsystem one) -- just super classic designs.
The Sazabi, the Jagd Doga, the Kampfer, the ZZ, and the Zaku all made me drool when I saw them. I’d love to see Kughee’s RX-78 resin sculpture, since he chose that as his favorite kit.
I wanna build a resin kit now. Also his voice was super soothing and gentle.
Some step by step coming up for that :) you're so spot on about hos voice!
What a Team. Excellent.

That Sinanju is marvelous! Thanks for the tips!
It really is!
Doing my first resin conversion kit, and this series is so great. Thanks for making this!!
You are so welcome!
I've owned the 1/72 Kshatriya 4 times and sold it each time. It's a nightmare of a kit. The 1/72 Sinanju was a fun build.
Aw why did you buy it 4 times? He bought it recently too but not sure when he'll make it. Where do you usually buy your resin Matt?
I bought with the intent to build it each time and each time I knew I didn't have the time to take on such a long project. I used to buy everything direct from G-Systm shop. I had all of there kits at one time, even the 1/35 Ex-s but sold 95% if it all when I switched to figures.

Sometimes if the resin is weak it can be that way, but most resin has some fitting problems. you can use a hair dryer to heat and re-bend the parts :)
