Wow, I made it. Phew! This was a hard upload for me. My job workload is getting heavy again, now with covid-19 settling down in Korea, and schools and companies are starting up again. I did all the editing in between work days, re-uploaded it 3x cuz I kept finding little mistakes or last minute things to add. However, it's worth it cuz you guys have been so supportive. My channel has really been taking off suddenly in the last 2 days, so I've pushed myself to get this done before bed. Enjoy a solo video from the rising star Kughee! He is a sweetie and lets me laugh at his English and include his little struggle here as well -- and of course letting me share his awesome techniques and painting process. Hope you all enjoy
Make the content you want but to grow the channel you will need to upload consistently. Set yourself up with a reasonable schedule that you can achieve so that you don't wear yourself out or tire yourself out. The last thing you want is to turn your beloved hobby into a chore that you hate or worse despise. :-/ That would not be cool. Remember to do what you love, not love what you do. :-)
I know this video doesn't have that many views, but I've watched this at least 20 times now. It's one of the best quick videos for demonstration I've ever seen.
Outstanding demonstration and results! Thank you for taking the time to make this video. It is so helpful to understand the nuances of each layer and step and the result they provide.
I haven't done a Gunpla build since Gundam Wing was airing in America in 2000, when I bought a Wing Gundam and Heavyarms at Toys 'R Us and didn't know how big of a thing it was. After an acquaintence in Japan sent me an RX-78-2 MG kit in the late 2010s (still unbuilt), I decided I wanted to do it right. In the meantime, I've amassed 27 kits of varying grades that I finally have time to build, and I've taken in a lot of tutorials along the way. This is easily one of my favorites, because I got to see someone just dive into the process without a long explaination, followed by a slow, nervous application. It really took the fear of messing up away. As for those ancient Gundam Wing models, I've still got them, and I plan to give them a full treatment, once I've got my technique down.
Hey! I finally had to come and leave a comment. I've been enjoying your videos so far and I love how you encourage Kughee to say some things in english. Hope he doesn't get discouraged trying, it's admirable! Keep up the great work and I look forward to watching more of your videos!
He did such amazing work! This video is a huge inspiration for trying a damaged zaku diorama for the first time using one of the blue heads of my own. I'll try adding vines as well and hopefully it will look half as good those looked! Amazing work as always!
At first I thought Kugdai is over doing it with all the layers of wash, dry brush, chipping etc. But the end product is looks authentic... I hope you don't mind stealing some techniques there. LOL! :D
Thx for this great weathering technique video. I always hope your channel will become bigger soon. And I think Kughee make an improvement on his English. 😉
@@georgemartinez1720 sculpting tools? Do you mean painting tools or just his tools in general, no. Because this was assembled, he just customized it to what he saw fit.
Heres a cheap way to do bullet holes if u dont have drills is heat up a needle or a hobby knife tip and burn the plastic this is a more better way as the excess plastic will come out and made it more realistic

This is a great tutorial! I will try this one day
Give it a go!
Amazing!
Cool!
These look awesome, what is the total time it takes to do one (not including the time for things to dry)
Fighting! Amazing work- makes me want to get a airbrush + compressor
Great next step to take!
hey great video, id like to ask about oil dot. does it work for the blue one as well. like the oil colors used on the red one?
Great job
What color you use
What Brand of paint
What's the smallest scale you've ever done weathering for? I'd feel a bit uneasy if I were drilling holes into a 1/144 scale.
what kind/ type of paints used for the oil dotting? I'm very new.
:o
i'm particularly surprised by the oil dot technique

Where do you get the large Zaku heads?
How did you do the yes of the Zaku? I really want to know
It came in that pink
What Brand of paint and Brushes you use
godlike

That's why we share it! We all just borrow from each other :)
