- Hey guys! Finally, the Kyrios are done! It took me quite a while to finish it! I really underestimated the effort to do a resin kit, and wow, it is a lot of work!

No mater how much i attempt to dust and keep my parts clean, I can never get such a flawless paint aplication as you do on every single part. It's incredible.

You need to use Mr. PRIMER surfacer for the primer. It's made specifically for resin and metal. Regular Mr surfacer 1500 is not a proper primer. It's a surfacer used to fix surface imperfections.

Love your work. I noticed you didn’t apply a finish in between painting and panel lining. About how long do you let the paint cure in between these steps.
I let my paint cure over night . Then I topcoat then let that sit than panel line.

Try cleaning up your gates before washing off the release agent, it works alot better.

I did record the masking process, but decided to not included it, it will make the video much longer. Probably more than 30 mins
Hey EA Gunpla! I have a few questions I want to ask about your spray booth.
1. Where do you think I get one of those water curtain spray booths?
2. Compared to a regular spray booth, which one is more expensive to operate?
3. Do water curtain spray booths need a continuous supply of water or do they use the same water over and over?
4. How much space does this take up? Are you able to pack it for storage?
Just go with the basic cheap spray booth with the LED lights they are compact and awesome for 120 bucks. the water curtain ones are over 400 if you can find them and they're huge.

i think, using extra expensive sanding are not necessary. since its resin, just use general market file will do.

Hi EA Gunpla great build! Just wondering if dust gets stuck when applying clear coat, how do you remove it?
Use enamel thinner and slowly clear the dust, then applying coat again

You can use soft sandpaper with high grit to rub it slowly and redo it

Can i ask you guys a question ? Is it pretty much standard that gunpla builders use lacquer pains as opposed to acrylics or anything else ? And why is that ? I always assumed laquer had to be applied heavier for consistent coat and would interfere with regards to snap fittings and moving parts
In my experience, Lacquer paints are easier to spray, has better finish, dries faster and much more durable. That being said, lacquer thinners are harmful to your health so you need to wear a respirator and need good airflow when painting.
are there instructions on these conversion kits how do you know what you have to drill and cut to make fit?
I guess he needs a really long sword because those knee wings are so big 😂

Melekat, tapi ada jugak certain parts yg celah2, yg mana tak cuci betul, mmg tertanggal bila cabut masking tape 😂😂

I don’t think the regular surfacer 1500 adheres well to resin, and you’d need stuff like primer surfacer for it to adhere well onto resin well enough, no?

I used 1500 black over Chinese knock off resin kit and no issues at all. Primer will stick to resin just fine
@@ramza813Use regular tape and paste it over the part and ripping it out to test its adhesiveness, and no resin kits are resin kits, there are no chinese knock offs for resin

Thank you! I bought it from Museigen Hobby, based in Malaysia. They sell it around rm500++. I pun terlupa dah exact amount haha

What did you use to clean the mould release from the resin?
I just used typical dish soap 😂😂 i think it is enough to remove the release agent, maybe? Haha! I need to do more resins to experiment!
@@EAGunpla I've tried purple power, but didn't have any luck. The paint still peeled off with the masking tape. Since then, I've been using Gaianotes resin wash and haven't had any problems, but its very expensive for a small amount.
@@jasoncombs3232 denture cleaner and dish soap and let it sit for 24 hours, then rinse with water. that will get it all off for sure
I usually just do a few drops of dish soap in an ultrasonic cleaner and that works fine for me too

Dah topcoat ke belum? Kalau tak topcoat, boleh kopek slow2. Tapi kalau dah topcoat mcm susah dah unless kene sand balik bahagian tu

You know most resin kits aren't suited for poses and transformation. It will ruin the paint job.
