😢 my Dad died on my Birthday in 2020 and it was the hardest day of my life. He was my best friend. He loved Elvis but he started singing this song to me the day I was born. We just discovered the lake Wenatchee session album, after already having heard a long time ago the songs that make up the album.
We actually just got engaged in the middle of a snowmobile tour in Leavenworth on 12/21/22.
I’m in the Army WA National Guard and just got back from basic and infantry training. While at my basic training graduation my now fiancé visited, after being apart for several months, we had a very deep and emotional moment listening to your cover and knew right away this was our song! We’re both huge fans, and it would be a dream come true to just meet you in person, let alone have you sing in our wedding!!!
I have some more military training ahead of me, the wedding date would probably be in about 12-18 months.
