I have a similar problem, though I've never phrased it as "lactose intolerance" and it's not only when milk is frothed, but when it's mixed in a drink, hot or cold. And it doesn't apply to certain milks that have dairy in them, such as condensed milk. I'm fully aware that this "intolerance" makes no sense, and I have no idea why only milk in this way upsets my stomach so much, but it's had a very consistent reaction over many years. I have not had a reaction since I started having plant-based milks in those types of drinks. Hopefully your customer is also aware that her allergy/intolerance makes no sense, because it would be ridiculous to expect others to understand it. Just be careful not to put too much Lavender in. Lavender is a strong flavor and too much would be overpowering personally.
Lol!! My roommate used to manage a coffee shop. I would get a cocoa - 1/3 milk chocolate, 1/3 dark chocolate, and 1/3 white chocolate, and let whoever was taking the order add whatever flavors they wanted (minus a couple I hated). They would fight over who could take my order. It was always an adventure. 😂
First, the person who wants passion fruit coffee is living lufe correctly. I'm happy for them. Second, as a child, my mother often made blueberry muffins. I loved them. These were my only experiences with "muffins". Sometimes, I just wasn't in the mood for actual blueberries. I'd ask her to make "blueberry muffins without the blueberries". This made PERFECT sense to me. I wasn't against blueberry flavor, but at this current moment, I did not want the actual blueberry texture being in my mouth. I only wanted "muffin" textures in my mouth. Anyway, more than 30 years later and I am stilled mocked for my request. Sorry I didn't have the vocabulary or understanding of things like autusm, texture, and individuality. :D All in good fun.
Coffee with orange juice is quite a popular drink, so I imagine having passion fruit syrup might not be bad at all 😊 Ps: add strawberry juice or syrup to your coffee and it'll taste like strawberries covered in dark chocolate 😊

I was a barista for a couple years, and believe me, passion fruit coffee is not the weirdest request I’ve gotten. I’ve had people request blueberry white mochas, to which I warn them that blueberry will curdle the steamed milk, and they’re like “oh that’s fine I don’t mind”, and then they drink the clumpy curdled mocha without batting an eye.
I go to a coffee shop and found that in a frozen lemonade with ice cream, cinnamon bun flavoring tastes surprisingly good. You taste the lemon, and then the cinnamon kicks in after every single time

I remember once i tried ice cold espresso with a dip of orange juice or mandarin juice or lemon juice (that coffee shop was creative) and a dip of soda. The flavor was peculiar, never tasted anything similar, but i have to admit it was really good 👍. I guess Passion fruit wouldn't be so different. Just not with milk i guess ? passion fruit coffee actually slaps, there are many uncommon (for non obsessed coffee drinkers) coffee drinks (and cocktails) that sound like they would never work but actually do
I don’t drink coffee and that still made me gag 😂
I probably weird you out a bit by something I love. Coffee with Lavender. Brew Coffee Grounds with a pinch of Lavender Buds. I add Sugar after brewing. It's delicious. Gives you caffeine and relaxes your Anxiety. (Which is a perfect combo for me. I have Anxiety, PTSD and Depression.) I'm sure you could probably add Creamer and/or Milk if you like as well.
All in good fun.
honestly i don’t even drink coffee but passion fruit coffee is something i would absolutely try.
Fruit coffees honestly taste AMAZING! It sounds so wrong, but tastes so goood
The lemon cake had me. I had a customer who wanted 2 jelly donuts but with no jelly.. so I made two donuts shells tossed in fine grantulated sugar.
The shiver is the correct response because oh my god 😂😂😂 passion fruit coffee is WILD
Coffee with orange juice is quite a popular drink, so I imagine having passion fruit syrup might not be bad at all 😊
Ps: add strawberry juice or syrup to your coffee and it'll taste like strawberries covered in dark chocolate 😊
I've tried passion fruit tea and to me it tastes like either stomach acid or blood. Truly has a passionate flavor!
That shiver at the end was my reaction 😂
I love passionfruit flavor in almost anything... but not coffee. I felt that shudder!😂
Hey there, I'm Brazilian and I've tried passion fruit with coffee, it was pretty good. Here passion fruits are really popular and easy to find, so I had it a lot of times.
Edit: Not in syrup tho, here it's easier to find the raw fruit juice and add it some cream 😅
My favorite part is when they ask dumb questions like this & then when we are like huh? They act like WE are the weird ones LOL
The shiver at the end😂😂😂😂😂
I bet passion fruit coffee is delicious. We italians sometimes put "Fiori di Sicilia" in our coffee which is like an orange-citrusy floral syrup and its AMAZZZZZING
What is the goal you’re trying to achieve with this cake?
Possible examples of goals include, but are not limited to: Something to bring to an event? Satisfying a craving? In supportive a special occasion? A specific request from someone whose exact wording was unclear (context may provide additional clues) before they sent you to the bakery?
As a baker, I find her very adorable
I was a barista for a couple years, and believe me, passion fruit coffee is not the weirdest request I’ve gotten. I’ve had people request blueberry white mochas, to which I warn them that blueberry will curdle the steamed milk, and they’re like “oh that’s fine I don’t mind”, and then they drink the clumpy curdled mocha without batting an eye.
The customer is always right in matters of taste, let the lady enjoy her passion fruity coffee
“Lemon cake without the lemon” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m sorry but I loved and laughed so hard at the grimace at the end😂
I love blueberry in my coffee. To each their own! Remember, the customer is always right in matters of taste.
I go to a coffee shop and found that in a frozen lemonade with ice cream, cinnamon bun flavoring tastes surprisingly good. You taste the lemon, and then the cinnamon kicks in after every single time
Second lady is me asf, I want passion fruit in everything
As a former barista, I complete agree with that last thought! 😂
Requests I had as a chef:
Garlic bread with no garlic
Vegetarian Full English, but with bacon
Baileys creme brulee with no Baileys (Yes, of course I will just spend the next hour making you a plain creme brulee)
That spine chill at realizing the girl's tastes... 💀
Passion fruit coffee actually doesn't hear that bad if you know how to balance the taste. But hey all of us are different 😊
She has got extremely attractive eyebrows
