I did - to compare how different the man is from other blues/rock artists that are out there. His use of fuzz tones and focusing more on the feel and groove of his music rather than technical perfection or a polished sound is what lead me primarily to that visual. And if you listen even to his debut album, the man plays in multiple genres and blends them together quite well. And if playing blues rock is a disqualifier from being an innovator, Hendrix was about 10 years late on that train as well. It's what you introduce into it that most contemporary artists don't that sets any given artist apart. Aside from Joe Bonamassa, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and a small smattering of other blues artists, there aren't many out there who are as immediately identifiable as Gary Clark Jr. is as a result. The man's hits have had ongoing popularity for a reason dude. The music industry didn't stop innovating or having great talent after the 70's contrary to what hipsters may think.
We can finally listen to this song without a feeling of crushing dissapointment and a sense of an oppurtuinity missed. A momentous day for sure. #ReleaseTheSnyderCut has happened.

When they split up I followed John Lennon and George Harrison. I’m into American blues ,Jazz and the more obscure rock. I only bought Rubber Soul, Sargent Pepper and The White Album. There’s nothing wrong with Beatle music if that’s your thing by all means go for it. It never was my main thing.No one is right or wrong when it comes to music. I agree they were the main thing for the masses and now they aren’t constantly played it’s nice to hear them occasionally. They swayed pop rock not the stuff I listened to.
