At 62 he died from agent orange he had cancer all through his body . I have said for years that everyone that is physical able should serve their Country, they would have a better appreciation for what they have here. I have a long history of family serving this Country. Korea and Vietnam. Thanks for posting

@@daydreamer5492 Good gawd, please stop with that bullshit. If what you say were actually the correct interpretation of what you're misreading and taking completely out of context, you'd be able to provide a copy of or link to the articles of incorporation which have been filed making this true. But you can't. Because they don't exist. But the Dunning-Kruger effect does exist, and you illustrate it quite well. It's not productive to draw wild conclusions from text you try to read but cannot comprehend yet somehow feel comfortable with spewing the misinformation in your conclusions, and those you've swallowed whole from others who are equally mislead, in any and all directions. Professing to have a clue about a subject on which you are actually quite clueless, yet still pushing it on others with supreme confidence in it's validity and your purpose in spreading the word should cause others to be extra cautious and skeptical of the message. Yet in this day and age where people love conspiracy theories and seek out information which confirmed their biases, they trust any theory they read that's negative and anti-govt. Believing everything the govt says is a lie and that my everything they do has some wicked underlying purpose is as ignorant and harmful as believing that everything the govt says is the truth and nobody in govt would ever mislead the public to further their particular agenda.

From WWII and finally Vietnam Nam. That Tragedy caused many to leave the Military and go live in the woods. We’re treated so poorly when they came home, some went into hiding.
He has gone on to be with our Lord now so I was able to post the photo of him having the Vietnam Metal of Service pinned on by a Vietnamese officer. He never would have allowed it. I found the beautiful pen in his desk drawer.

I am 74 years old and I was drafted not long before the drawings began. I was not real happy about it at the time but in hindsight I am SO SO glad I was drafted. I considered extending but I think I was still too immature to do it. Now all these many years later it was probably one of the best things ever to happen to me. The military (at least in the mid to late 60s) forced you to learn responsibility to care for your clothing, finances,& hygiene . You learned respect for officers and NCOs or learn the consequences and then still learn to respect them. It pulled little boys away from mommy's apron strings. You learned to make $86.00 a month last for a full month. Not a full weekend. You learned not to call in "sick" for a hangover. In simple language you were FORCED TO GROW UP. My 2 years in the Army got me the education required to work on certified aircraft, a job lasting 22 years working for federal civil service with a great retirement where I was still treated with respect as a blue color worker and I also got a GI loan on my house with ZERO down, though my retirement would have allowed me to have 20% down. So.....do I think our young men should be required to give at least 2 years to their country .....ABSOLUTLY YES I do. But I freely they should stay for another year or 2 for their own benefit. It's the fastest growing up they will ever experience. In hindsight I wish I had extended a couple more years. Back then stripes were fast man were E5 before their 2 years were up.

Everyone should be highly compelled to join the military right out of High School for a minimum of 2 years. Just to know
what it is to be a part of serving their country , develop discipline, and have a sense of unity and camaraderie with their fellow citizens. After that they will have the G I Bill
to use for payment of any College they are qualified for. The more time you serve the more benefits you get. This would end most of the debt we have through the student
loan program which is killing people who have had their lives ruined though lack of understanding that defaulting on a student loan will never written off. It will follow them forever.
Remember you don't have to repay the GI Bill benefits. You just use them or not. My son who is now 40 was in the Marines for 8 years, one tour in Iraq, used his GI Bill for his college
education, a Bachelors Degree in English and later a Master's Degree at NYU. All PAIDED with the GI Bill. I carefully inform my nephews and nieces to think about it. So far no luck.
Some of them seem rudderless in life. I enlisted in the USAF right out of high school stayed 9 years then left feeling good about my decisions.
