Never had heard of Paul till we saw him a month ago in Colorado. Whoa. What a great show, went out and bought all this stuff. Terrific songwriter and not a bad singer; and what a band! Very cool.
I have been shooting fireworks shows for 12 years. We did a show last night and the band played this song as an intro. BEST INTRO EVER! JEFF BECKER PYRO PRODUCTIONS ADAMSVILLE, ALABAMA
I saw him last night (3/28/12) what a performer! I laughed and cried. He's very personable. He signed autographs and stood for photos for as long as people wanted them after his part of the show.
+Tina Barbuto Go to one of his concerts. The whole band makes it a point to meet and take pictures with as many people as possible. I met him at Skipper's BBQ in Tampa this past February and got my picture taken with him. Great concert and a great person!
I Love this song. I wish he a had few more I liked as much. I saw him in concert last week and it was his only great song. I also checked iTunes for his songs, and didn't find and other songs that even came close.
Only thing wrong with this great tune is it is going to be the same as 2000 years ago, along with it right now being just like 200 years ago here in America.
Never heard of Paul thorn before come across him the as I'm a Tommy castro fan but beginning to like his stuff. Never hear of these artists in England.
What I don't understand is how a man & band so talented as these guys can have so many fans and get great gigs on national TV, but the records aren't making the charts. I assume it's only because they aren't distributed by a major label, so I hope they work out a deal that Paul can live with so they can get better promotion of his music as he should be as popular as anybody on the radio right now and be selling millions of CDs & downloads. Bill Hinds is an incredible guitarist also.
I think this was at "Work Play" in Birmingham Alabama... and awesome concert! I saw him there: stage looks the same but I could be wrong. I was balcony center stage.
i think it is so awesome that with SB covering it...that it got played on CMT therefore (i would assume) making it a huge hit for your cousin. not saying Sawyer Brown did him a major favor but i just think that with SB having access to probably what could be a different crowd than what Paul probably has/had that Paul's ministry probably took off even more because of what God did in that instant.
While these cats are certainly trying to 'earn a livin'...the truth is...they do this shit for the music, the crowd...and the message. Been a sucker for the arts all my life..!! lol. PT band are the shit live...
I just watched Sawyer Brown's version. It's good and Robert Randolph was awesome. But I like Paul Thorn's version the best! SB's version is more country and this is more bluesy and it sounds more natural, like it's coming out of their pores!!!! More my style.
@galatians110 I think that is is really cool that this guy wrote the song but doing a cover of a good song isn't copying it, it's complimenting the writer. Sawyer Brown and Robert Randolph didn't "copy" anyone.
Bill Hinds teaches at my county's middle school! GREAT GUY!

Very cool.
Paul Thorn is the most fun to see live. Feel in love with him in 08 at Jambo in the Hills in Ohio. Loved him. Still do.
My son and I saw PT open for Huey Lewis and The News, two years ago in Cleveland, OH. I've been "hooked" ever since. He's a genius!
I first ran across Paul Thorn on Itunes and loved his music. Now that I have seen him on RUclips I just have to catch a live show..WOW!!
I always smile/laugh/do cartwheels/light sparklers when I hear this song!!!
I've seen Paul 4 times in Ohio. He's a don't miss for me. Great writing, great performance, great rapport with the audience.

"Today bottle rockets are two for one, but salvation's free." One of my favorite lines from any song ever. Should be on a t-shirt.
If you have never seen PT live, make a point of doing so. It is the best of all possible live music shows. A great time on so many levels.

I first heard this on KPIG, when they were still on the radio. It's one of the most fun songs I've heard
KPIG is still on the radio! 107.5 Freedom and 94.9 Cayucos.

Saw them at the Savannah Music Festival. Rocked. The. House!
I Love this song. I wish he a had few more I liked as much. I saw him in concert last week and it was his only great song. I also checked iTunes for his songs, and didn't find and other songs that even came close.
