- Renowned singer/songwriter, boxing champion and folk artist Paul Thorn reaches a career milestone with the release of his greatest hits CD/DVD/Documentary Film - So Far So Good: The Best of The Paul Thorn Band.
I love that he doesn't care about being a huge star. Who would want all those headaches. Better to be good and live your life free of all that bs.
Paul thorns 800 pound Jesus saved my life about a week ago never heard his music but I am now a die hard fan
Listen closely to the lyrics...he paints such a powerful, moving, vibrant, picture of life. We all have "a good day, every now and then..."
Love Paul Thorn! Seen him four times now opening for Huey Lewis in the last few years, he gets better each time. How a voice and talent like that doesn't make radio waves...no idea. Some of the crap on the radio these days, Paul outclasses alot of them.
These guys are the real deal,,, they are as nice as they are talented. The best.
Paul's music always takes me on journey, makes me laugh, makes me think and then returns me back on solid ground. Songwriters like this only come around "every now and then." Thanks for the great music.
I am very blessed to have Paul and Billy as friends. Hope to see them again soon!
Man we are real fans of Paul thorn we love all his music
What a talent ! Wow !
Absolutely the real deal. Been following him since 05. Gret songwriter, puts on a great show. Guess his (own) record label says it all-- perpetual obscurity. A shame the real talents can't hit it big.
Paul is an amazing artist--and it's all natural, not contrived by some record company. THAT is why he's not so known in the mainstream. I think he also has a great songwriting partner, which doesn't hurt. And yeah, I'd stay up for "Saturday Night Live" if they'd book him! In fact....let's get a petition going:)
These guys are the real deal,,, they are as nice as they are talented. The best. Bill Hinds is my all time favorite guitar player
I have loved Paul for so long. Thanks so much for sharing this.
yeah he's a new discovery for me.there is a real depth to this guy.hard to put my finger on it but his music blows away most of what is out there right now...
4 once?
Hey, he's from Texas!
I could get use to this, not a bad new sound in all actuality I find it very refreshing compared to a lot of music out there to day. LOVE IT ! IT'S ABOUT TIME A DECENT NEW SINGER / SONG WRITER COULD COME ON THE SCENE !!
This is the first song I ever heard Paul do, and I was HOOKED !! Love him !!
my favorite paul thorn song. love them all but this one is special..
That was a good time in my life..
A Tupelo boy in Alabama turned this Missipy Girl aka GA Peach onto this guy and he's awesome!!! xoxo
This guy is great, and very addictive
Paul Thorn for President !!
Saw this guy many years ago playin in front of John Prine. Been hooked ever since.
just listening to this guy on allmemphismusic. Hadn't heard of him before, great, thnx
We saw Paul Thorn this summer at the Wheatland Festival. He played an acoustic set with Eric Bibb and Ruthie Foster. That, for me, was the pinnacle of the show. As powerful as the other two performers are - and I absolutely LOVE Ruthie Foster - Paul nearly stole the set with a version of this song. The song brought tears.
Nice.... My dad is going to see him on a cruise next week!!! he's awesome!
He's a magical music machine...
I love this man!
his music is addictive.
awesome song
Love this song Paul.
What a song
Awesome.
i'll second that.
Saw him in Texas this year and have been hooked since. Love Texas music.

This is for you David - We will have a good day every now and then - stay in touch with your friends - we love you and need one another. You can come see this guy in May with us - we'd love to have you and Julie.
Beautiful song that helped get us through some tough times.
god, this guy is awesome! how come i've never heard of him before?
My Bill Hinds on this one looking as good as he sounds... best lead guitar ever😜
KEEP LOOKING FOR THE LIGHT!
He's even better live !!! And yes I heard his interview JAX-quite insightful.....no?
I have this dvd :D
He's in B.G. KENTUCKY the 19th
Greatest song. Evuh.
John Prine, the next generation.. and that is a compliment
LOVE THIS BAND !!! He sings of things we can relate-omg soooooooooo good
i heard the acoustic version of this song and i can't find it anywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Every now and then, in this world of crap, we find a diamond.
Man ...That looks like Hurley from Lost on the keyboards.
Warning Paul Thorn music may become habit forming....
Is!....and one of those good habits
why yes i do gotta be the sexiest and sweetest in the states
Wow! Great stuff!!! Where do I buy this dvd??
a-effing-men!
song is about a friend of his that took his own life.....???
No.... he wrote it about a friend named Steve who had a bunch of bad stuff happen, capped off by Parkinsons. It's what Steve said when Paul asked how he was doing.
If Tupelo ever respects the guy anymore, he says He'll do it for free for the Elvis Fest in tupelo, MS. But their just jackasses and won't let him play -_____-,
but yea if they do let him play, you should come see the people, they go nuts when he plays.
i like him too but even more i love dem sippi girls
FYI. This song is about depression.
Its about a friend of his who took his own life, what a tribute
never hada sippi girl that i know, but dem georgia peaches sure is sweet
not sure what it means!
