He turns 72/73 nov 4th. 73 pretty sure. I sure hope we get a President in time to give DELBERT A KENNEDY CENTER AWARD. The list of performers wanting to play would fill a 3 day 72 hour concert.

Delbert LIVE is addictive. Once you see him LIVE his CD's are just barely enough to keep you from Jonesing. He puts so much more into live shows than a CD can capture.

This song is just great. Delbert's vocals are great, Parnell is great and Vince Gill, everybody's fave guest backing vocalist, can bring something extra to any song.
Anyone notice this video is full of sets of twins??? The guitar solos are masterful and Delbert and Vince are vocally captivating . . . Those twins gotta mean something. Angels come as twins? You tell me, sir.

She is now our daughter. I raised her after she died. The song was played at her funeral too and her daughter's name is Jesse. Pronounced Jessie. I love it and I know when I listen to it she is right next to me listening too.

So much so that I bought the entire C D for this song and I love the entire C D so much that well at the time I didn't have a cC D burner so I mad tapes for all of my family and many friends. See I had to go through Major brain and spine cord operation 7 1/2 hrs on the table This song and you helped me pull through a hard time But God did it all and had many angels for me

Delberts main Sax man, "the Snake" , real name Don Wise is a killer player...he worked with our band back in Okc, Okla and we were so very thrilled when Delbert hired him way back when...I think it was maybe late 70s or very early 80s. On top of being such a talent on sax, Don was just a super nice cat. Don has his own recording career as well...not sure if he has any videos on here though.

And then there's the fantastic duet with Frankie Miller, Beginner at the blues, on the album Double Take. The Scottish musician is one of the most underrated songwriters ever. It's just a shame that he hasn't been able to make music since bleeding to death in 1994.
Never heard of him till I saw him in Columbia SC and listened to him till he quit playing. But I forgot about the other bands playing. I was impressed. I thought I had a eargasm. So now I own everything that he produced.

I've seen DM about 6 times in Myrtle Beach, SC. He puts on a great show. This song is my cell phone ring tone and simply gives me goose bumps every time I hear it.

Some people lose their voices with age. Delbert sounds great as a middle aged guy. Probably better than when he was younger.
