Seeing the majestic trees lined up, casting their long shadows, felt like it was really honoring them with the reverence they deserve (they’re probably older than most of us!)… As well as a tribute to the man who lovingly grew them on his property. ❤

To the family of the gentleman who grew so many of the majestic evergreens: As I viewed the drone shots and saw the long shadows cast from his trees … I thought, this man’s passion for his tress has also cast a living tribute shadow form his trees. Their new home gives them dignity and their beauty gives thousands joy. What a beautiful living legacy. God Bless.

I think the previous owner of those large trees would be very happy that they found a loving home.
Watching the Dream Stream saga makes me wonder: Back when you were teaching how to make wreaths and fairy gardens, could you ever imagine having the empire you have now? I watch several garden channels, and know they all aspire to be you. But it takes a magical combination: expertise and luck, sure; but also the crucial "it" factor - which you have been blessed with. It sets you above the rest and has made you what you are today. And those of us who love what you do and love sharing your garden adventures all agree it couldn't have happened to a nicer person....

The trees are absolutely gorgeous! Seeing them like this does my heart good. When my dad retired from the military in the mid seventies they bought a brand new home. It had no trees nor grass. I wanted trees,big trees. Mom planted a Magnolia, it’s huge now but we don’t live there anymore. I love seeing you plant the big trees and didn’t know that tree planter machine existed. Thank you for filling my heart with joy seeing the trees go in. Just gorgeous.🥰

It was interesting seeing what planting you did, but the most enjoyable thing was seeing Samantha playing on the rocks and enjoying the creek. That was one of my favorite pastime when I was a kid, living in the woods. Wait, who am I fooling… at 69 it’s still my favorite pastime !
His life’s work will live on to provide the comfort of shade, cooling the play and living space, across all the hot summers, where their families make memories, for generations to come. What a legacy to accompany and watch over Laura and Aaron’s life’s work.

You guys need to write a book! Document this beautiful journey on a medium other than YT. Perhaps in 5 years time when things are little more mature. Im sure a coffee table book would be great.
That would be cool. Years ago Laura toured Mackinac Island and toured gardens with Jack Barnwell. I have his book named Gardens of Mackinac Island on our table. Book you talk about would make a good partner.

@@Aezra27 years ago before I ever seen Garden Answer I was up on the island with family. As we were walking up Market St. we seen a landscape crew working on a property. My young son probably 10 yelled out look that guy has Felco pruners on his side just like you do. The guy turned around and came over to us. Son thought he was so cool because he had a hat on that looked like Indiana Jones. Jack talked with our son and asked if he knew anything about plants. Son started pointing to plants and naming some. Jack asked our son if he was going to become a landscape architect. Our son said no sir I am going to become an engineer. One more semester he graduates as an engineer and then onto his master.
Girl you nailed it. Before you put the tree in I was ‘Ho Hum, another pretty tree’ Then BOOM. That tree. I’m an artist and that tree behind that waterfall changed everything. Design is very important in a painting. Design can make a painting stop you in your tracks and you don’t even know why. That tree you put in behind the waterfall did that. Wow.

Laura, you may want to cut those mature seed heads off the Northern Sea Oats. The will seed all over like crazy! The wind will take the seeds near and far. You can leave them on the plant when they are green, but I cut them off once they start to turn golden.
🌱I agree. I ended up replanting mine on a pot because they were taking over the garden. I still see some come up in different places. But, they are beautiful.

The pond and stream area is so beautiful. Samatha is so sweet and funny. I love the tree as the crown on the area. The crabapple tree is so beautiful it is a shame it couldn't be closer to the stream, but your eye is pretty good so I know you are right. That gorgeous Norway spruce is the perfect gem for your masterpiece stream. I can just see beautiful soft white Christmas lights on that one tree at the pond during Christmas time.
