I was going to write the SAME thing! That could have been a nice Jewelry Box for someone. What a shame it got scratched up. The file cabinet had no drawers in it, he could have put the things in there. Taco, why didn't you take that nice roundish basket and kids toy and those trays at the end of the video? That would have brought more money in than some of the metal scrap? I don't understand that.
I own one of those tins. It came from an old mail order catalog called House of Tyrol and came filled with smaller tins and boxes of gingerbread cookies. It originally sold for $99.99. Yes...shy of $100! (I got mine end of season and paid very little fornit.)
with bike rims they can be "trued" or made straight sometimes by adjusting the spokes - good mechanic labels stuff :-) that rim won't go "straight" even with spoke adjustment - keep up the vids!
You packed it in so neatly today! But everyone is right. You shouldn't have piled EVERYTHING on top of that tin. How come you dont pick up a bin or 3 for sorting or holding items to resell rather than scrap?
Trued is when you tighten the spokes individually until the spinning wheel doesn't wobble. It brings the rim into alignment. That one may have a major crease or dent which keeps that from happening. You do not want to ride on a wobbly wheel:) Cheers, Rik Spector
I always enjoy your trash picking videos, but not so much the auctions, the flea markets, the storages; but most definitely the trash picking. STAY SAFE!
I like your videos about picking stuff up on the road I do it myself sometimes another person's junk is another person's treasure and you do find cool stuff absolutely love this video keep the good work
Hey Taco! That tall file cabinet was put out by my neighbor! You were right next door to me! I get excited by small things, I think I need more of a life...lol
Well, you got that snow! Believe it or not, we were getting snowflakes that big in Alabama, today...and my daffodils are already blooming! Crazy weather...❄️🌼 Be safe!
It amazes me what people can make smoker's out of. I made a fire pit out of the drum of our old washing machine... Pinterest is the devil for making me fall down rabbit holes on upcycling recycling items - but I love it :) Great video. Thanks. Lisa & Rob
I live in a small town and around here there are Take It Or Leave It shacks so that some good things find good homes. Back in Underhill, Vermont, there was a rug that went home 5 times, coming back 4 times because of at pee smells. The 5th person had it cleaned several times and kept it. It was a wonderful oriental!
It's a big Lebkuchen tin; they're a traditional Christmas spice cookie and if you're in Germany they're often given as a gift. The tins turn up here in the States too sometimes. After someone already ate the cookies. :-(
As a refugee from the 70s, we called that brand "tek-NEEKS." And ... "Trued" means bring (an object, wheel, or other construction) into the exact shape, alignment, or position required.
@@Dardrum Yes, he Stuck always everything on the top on everything, in the center of the car , and then saying will sell, lol . LAZY TACO STUCKS =) I would suck him from work this some day he start it =)
I just love your videos.. I will check when it's bulk day for good stuff.. Yesterday I found a perfectly good violin in the trash inside its case and everything was with it.. It's crazy what good stuff people throw away!
Hello Taco Stacks . That looks like the snow we got today (Wednesday). But it was coming down a LOT heavier. First we got freezing rain then it and now more freezing rain . Fun stuff . FYI don't get a Camaro they suck in the snow . Like the trash can it's cute. It was nice that lady helped you out. PEACE . STAY SAFE ✌✌✌💕💕💕🐕🐕🐕💕💕
The irony of picking up a "Trash" can... Too funny. The town of Stockertown should hire you to train future recyclers. Thanks for all your interesting and educational videos.
My Dad, back in the 70s, used Simonize in a liquid form to clean up rust on metal ( bikes) I looked it up, and they still sell a paste form of Simonize that probably do the same thing. You want to rub it on and leave it for awhile. But, if you wanted to try it in the barstools. Also, WD-40 helps with things stuck if you spray it and leave it for awhile...
Cool colorful metal box . that wooden trash bin should sell well at your flea market . Wondering why you didn't get the screen door . I thought they did well for re-sell . That snow falling at the end looks like so much fun ! have a great rest of your day .
Loved watching and it was so nice watching the snow fall, it is a very unusaul thing to see here in S.E., Texas. I don't always commint, but I always hit the like button. Thanks!
The box reminds me on ' Nürnberger Lebkuchen`, ginger bread from Nuremberg in Germany. Tasty, traditional Christmas bread in a gift box. Love your videosxx
Taco you have a amazing memory blows my mind how you can remember what you picked up like 3 years ago and what house put it out pretty wild. I'm a fan and will always hit the thumbs up for you....
Would you ever consider a video telling the story of how you got started, how you started to monetize your RUclips, and show highlights of your best finds? That would be fun!! Love the channel!! Jody from the 'Burgh!
Taco 🌮 I grimaced when you piled iron on top of that German tin?Hope it didn't get scratched or dented.Another treasure pick.👍Give Salsa a nice treat.

Love seeing the old houses in the neighborhoods you pick. Beautiful homes!
cannot be trued means in can't be brought into shape to work smoothly - i.e. it might wobble and affect steering the bike
Was anyone else screaming NOooooo when he did that.
with bike rims they can be "trued" or made straight sometimes by adjusting the spokes - good mechanic labels stuff :-) that rim won't go "straight" even with spoke adjustment - keep up the vids!
meaning the wheel will not run true
I have a tin like that. It came with cookies. My son gave it to me years ago. I keep grandkids things now, it's special.
2:30 Now I have to search RUclips to find out how to make a smoker out of a file cabinet! LOL
SNOW! How beautiful ... from inside!
You packed it in so neatly today! But everyone is right. You shouldn't have piled EVERYTHING on top of that tin. How come you dont pick up a bin or 3 for sorting or holding items to resell rather than scrap?
You put that heavy stuff on pretty box.🤭
It was nice of the lady who assisted you with the stove.
"Cannot be Trued" = cannot make true round, will always be bent!
The falling snow looked so pretty on video. Then again, I always love watching any snow fall that I don't have to shovel. lol
I am so glad you picked up that tin...great to make a sewing basket/keeper...my favorite!
Love the neighborhood. You choose some of the most beautiful neighborhoods
Egad you put that scrap heavy bbq racks on top of that gorgeous German cookie tin......omg no you didn’t!
You must be new here, welcome!
@@dudley7540 I'm not new here ... but I STILL cringe when he does that stuff!!!
@@SherryAnnOfTheWest I'm with you with the cringe!
I enjoy travelling with you through the neighbourhoods in the towns where you trash pick. Always something interesting to pick up.
Thank you for all these videos I enjoy them tremendously.
The tin is beautiful.
Faye Dunbar ugh he put heavy scrap iron grills on top of it
🤦🏻♀️🙅🏻♀️🙇🏻♀️

Try ;0000 steel wool on the bar stools,, You might be surprised,,, :-)
I don’t think he has enough patience for that.
That tin could bring a chunk of change. So could the strainer since its vintage. Nice haul.
Worth $2
Thank you for sharing your trash picking videos, and how beautiful it’s snowing 🌨
the stools pivot at the top, not the bottom.
Yes ... and it wouldn't be that big of a job to clean them up or have them sandblasted.
That tin is a German cookie tin. My Great Uncle Klaus would send us one every year for Christmas. I love those tins!
another good scrapping day Taco, you're a treat to watch...
Great video. Love the tin. You should be able to clean the bar stools. Try cleaning them. Thanks for taking us along
Lot of great stuff I know tonight we are getting little bad weather here in pa stay safe Taco and Salsa
Sleet-ice and snow here in NW Indiana! It's Tourney Time, always expect bad weather.

Love the trash can (rubbish bin) in UK! Have a good day ☺☺
I loved the big tin,the wooden trash can, great save the world with the gas range

Yep you have scratched that tin !
I groaned, you put iron on top of pretty tin.🙄
same.
Yes we know he has a problem with packing the itemsin fact he said one time that someone had offered to pay him if he would pack his truck better
Sometimes it seems like he goes out of his way to get the lowest possible value out of something. This is just another example.
He should have put that nice tin on the front seat to keep it safe. Instead he chose to ruin it like so many things before. 🤦♀️
At the end of the day ,mine treat is watching your video 's ! Thank you ,keep up the good work !🇨🇦🇨🇦👏

Had to laugh when Taco was musing about what the Green Egg was called and I yelled out smoker!
That huge tin box would be a dream come true if I found it!!
Fun video, my dad used to use the word true when he was looking at lumber that wasn't straight.

T Stacks - You ROCK! Thank you for moving it to the best stream.
I’m a huge fan of old tins. That’s a very cool one. Germany. Fun.
I sure would like to see your friend's smoker made from a file cabinet. What a great way to reuse an item.
Your friends smoker was probably completely built with the file cabinet and the grates from the stove 😊
The tin says "gingerbread and other (culinary) specialties from Nuremberg" on the bottom
It's a big Lebkuchen tin; they're a traditional Christmas spice cookie and if you're in Germany they're often given as a gift. The tins turn up here in the States too sometimes. After someone already ate the cookies. :-(
Military commissary stores have a variety of these imported tin containers with goodies during the holiday season.
I have that same tin. Found it at a garage sale in Houston a few years ago 😁
I have one of those tins. It’s red and from 1985. My sister was living in Germany in the 80’s and gave me one.
I think I agree with many folks, the tin box is awesome

Hi Taco, Example: Small pieces can, of course, be straightened and trued by the smoothing-plane alone.
Love the tin so pretty!
What a beautiful tin. Put wd40 on the bar stools that will clean them up. Good job as usual Taco

"Can't be trued" = cannot be made to spin evenly without wobbling. :-)
I knew you were going to catch hell about that cookie tin. Are you kidding me! 1993 to me means $1 at the Goodwill.
