This dress is awesome and quite inline for a strong female character in this time period, as pink was a lighter version of red which was considered a masculine colour scheme at the time. I love it.

Hope you don’t mind, but I really can’t hear what you are saying. When you are ‘on camera’ it is much louder.

I explained in the description that I had audio issues with this video but decided not to scrap it all and uploaded it anyway, I’m new to this kind of thing so hang in there 😅

It’s a testament to how lovely and soothing I found you video that I’m so eco tired to see this dress come together.
Because to be honest, I really, really dislike the costuming in Little Women. It makes no sense to the plot, the time, or the characters, and I think this dress falls victim to that. It’s very pretty, and the fact that it is so pink and girly (not at all Meg’s taste) is definitely good character-wise, but it’s also extremely conservative for what it is. Which goes against the entire point of Meg Goes to Vanity Faire, which is that Meg acts very “fast”, enough for people to whisper, and make a dent in her reputation. The 1994 version had the perfect dress, that showed a lot of cleavage- but this one, while pretty, covers more than other girls at the ball.
As a dress, it’s lovely. As a plot device, it’s a failure. And the constant so time fails just pulled me so far out of the movie that I couldn’t finish it.
But I loved this video- it was very sweet.

Whilst I appreciate your opinions, I greatly enjoyed the movie and it’s costumes 😊 that’s why I chose to make it! Haha
It was the perfect excuse for me to make a pretty, pink gown
Thank you for watching and enjoying the series
