Thanks, my youngest put a 2p in my cd player. Using your video, took me 30 mins to take it apart and put it all back together. Must say I do have a very good trim removal kit that helped
What a bloody brilliant time saving Video this is. This is possibly worthy of an Oscar or Reward for saving time. It makes life so much easier. I would never have worked it out without this Video. Only issue I have now is the Reversing sensor doesn't beep and there is no audi from the Handsfree bit. The radio now works and changes chanels and plays Music from my Iphone but no siri, voice command or reversing sensor.
Very helpful video - many thanks. Exactly the same parts and disassembly method on my 2012 Grand CMax. I didn't need to get the radio out - just to the back of the screen to plug in a new (£7) GPS antenna. This fixed the satnav "No GPS" problem much more easily and cheaply than replacing the antenna at the back of the roof. Without your video, I wouldn't have known how to get the dashboard cover parts off.
I have this problem with my kuga, no gps at the bottom left of my screen, been reading its a faulty antenna but I never knew where to find the antenna
Thank you buddy, that got me through this one I’m doing for a customer in 5 minutes.
Good work matey.
Good warnings too.
Top work.
Cheers, replacing mine tomorrow and this is enormously helpful.
Thanks Nice job finaly a good movie explanation about the Sony radio
thanks for posting this, its going top save me a lot of time....
Thank you very much for this good video. It has saved me a lot of time and money. I was able to replace the faulty radio myself.
Thank you so much! Very helpful!
very helpful video. thanks
Thanks, very helpful.
Class video massive help today 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Thanks. Great video.
How did you remove the antenna cable from the radio unit
I've managed to get it all out. The two wiring harness out
Did replacing the head unit fix the issue? Mine seems to be on and off over the last 2 weeks doing the same thing. Wasn't sure if wiring or radio dead.
Very helpful. Thanks!
Hi I have the same problem. What unit did you buy to replace it and where did you buy it from?
Thanks
briliant video. when you removed stereo, was the bluetooth/sync/apim module behind there? trying to work out where it is as need to swap it.
Did you source another radio unit and just swap it out? Did it need coding? Thanks.
Hi. I replaced the radio in my c max which is exactly like this one last year. The time and date is wrong. Is it not possible to set the time and date without the original raido (sony)?
Brilliant video
Thanks glad its useful
Cheers mate, thanks for that👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Brilliant video. Thanks. Im getting an issue where the GPS cant find where i am. Is there a common issue for that?
Thanks bro 🔥👍🏻
Hey people looking for a bit of help
My radio and screen same as this seem to all
Light up but when I turn on the radio it don’t come on it still locks up my phone but I can hear anything on a call or when parking sensors are activated could someone help please
Just swapped my radio and saved me time and money. Genius video ,thank you
Thank you very mutch
My radio has been stuck on mute forever how can I fix this please
Qaulity vid cheers
Hi ,thank you for posting video, the part that you said was a "pig" ,did it just pop off in the end?? Is there any special technique or do you just lever until they pop out?
It really was a pain. It's the most time consuming part of it, everything else is pretty quick - I would definitely use trim removal tools anything else is likely to cause damage and work your way around.
Ultimately it should pop off, but it's not that easy 🙂
i know this is an old video, so not expecting a reply to my question, but i thought i would try as im in a similar situation and i believe i am going to have to repace the head unit in my 2011 cmax. Anyway i was just wondering if you had any issues with a radio code when replacing the head unti?
Hi, on the kuga there's no radio code to worry about, you just need to make sure you get the correct replacement unit.
I dont k ow if the dmax has a code or not, but if it's the same stereo/unit, then the likely a swerve wi be no.
Hi is there something im doing wrong all the lights /display on radio have gone off hope you can help :-/
Check all the cables are connected and secure. Other than that, I cant help I'm afraid.
Can I do this to my Ford Escape I have the 4” and trying to upgrade to a bigger screen
I'll be honest I've never looked. So I wouldn't know. Good luck though
Hi if you disconnect the head unit does it throw up a security code when you live it back up again?
Thanks
No. These are so buried in the dash it takes you 30 mins to get them out wo I guess they didn't feel the need for the codes
Thanks mate took mine out today, would of took me ages if I didn’t see your video and the help with were all the screws are,,
Thanks bruv
Hi,
I have exactly the same symptoms, radio turns on but no sound whatsoever. Do you / anyone else know if the radio is repairable?
Thanks, Dave
I thi k you will struggle to find someone to repair it and possible to even get the faulty part - I simply opted to replace it.
@@keepitpinned_yt thank you
That was my issue. a large pop and no sound from the Radio at all. The buttons were stuck on one station and wouldn't change station. I found a unit online (Part No. CV4T-19C107-NH) and although my original unit was Part No. CV4T-19C107-GH the Radio works as normal but I have no audible sound from the Reversing sensor or the Voice Commands..... The Handsfree functions work but no sound from the speakers.
Do you know what the part number is of the screen. I think mine is fried.
Sorry I dont. I never checked mine as it wasnt an issue for me
@@keepitpinned_yt No worries.
Don't remove this mesh from the top. One jerk hand hit to up from screen side and it slide like showed 3:00
This was a very helpful step, took me less than 10 min from start to finish... also rather pull out the facia without detaching the air vents... the whole thing comes right out...
Ford kuga 2013 model radio code is 0514
Thank you for this informative video. I'll be replacing this garbage unit for an android 10 Tesla style unit.
Typical ford cheap brittle plastic.
Cool. Good luck. Sounds like n opportunity for an install video..... 😉
Jag what android unit did you purchase
Someone put pig sounds in my car and I can’t fix it pig thunder
