  • I'm going to give you the easiest tennis tip you can do. It doesn't require any technique or special skill. It's simply early preparation for tennis. So stop hitting late and start preparing early. It's almost that simple. Look, after you watch this video, you'll know how to never hit late again. It's a simple tennis hack. I'll show you my personal strategy for preparing early so you can stop feeling rushed when you play. Do you always feel like you're hitting the ball late? I know, because I've been there too. So stop hitting late and start playing the game more comfortably. This is easily the best tennis tip for beginners and intermediate players alike. So many beginners and club level players set up late and don't get their body into the shot. This simple tennis tip is easy in concept but it can take a while to master. The key is to determine whether the ball is a forehand or backhand as soon as it comes off the racquet and then get into your forehand or backhand stance right away. And that means getting your body turned to the side. If you can do that, half the battle in hitting the ball is done. If you're new to tennis, I'll show you how to play tennis the easy way. So watch this important video, take it in, try it on the practice court and then keep working on it until it's part of your game. You won't regret it. As always, please subscribe for more video content from me and have fun.

So helpful, thank you! Being late has been a problem for me for years. It is amazing how much better I strike the ball with an earlier preparation and I can hit it more out in front with my weight going forward. It truly does make a huge difference!

Great video to explain a fundamental problem of rec players. Taught by a „normal player“ and not a pro. Thanks! ….Btw, work on your swing path. It’s too horizontal. You need more low to high for quality topspin strokes. 😉

I totally have this problem and it seems like a downward slope where I get worse and worse over a match where I'm bunting the ball back mid court with no pace. The examples of late hitting are helpful to see. Thanks so much for the video.

I too have the being late problem. For years. So I started saying out loud "switch" to help make myself do it. It works for a good while, and my strokes are so much better as a result of the early turn. However it does take consistent repetition for a few weeks at least to form a new habit. So they say. Still working on it.....

Very helpful. Appreciate back AND side view perspectives. Love your passion, intensity and dedication to always improve. Most recreational players I see think we are all born knowing how to play tennis, although the they have no clue. Watching informative channels like this and putting in the time to practice is the key to improvement. Joining tennis leagues without having basic tennis concepts establishes poor tennis techniques and movement skills.

So, if I try to hit a one-handed topspin drive off my opponent's overhead smash and I'm late, that's because I didn't prepare early enough? No, obviously in some situations there's no time to prepare early and one must modify the stroking technique.
Well, might that not also be the case for ordinary shots -- that a player is simply using too ambitious a stroke technique for his inferior level of ball sense (his poor ability to predict the path of the oncoming ball)?
