the fact that these places almost look like entirely different locations after so long, not only blows my mind, but also reminds me that there’s another world behind our inhabitants that returns without our presence.
You know, what I like about these videos is that when ever I look at that pictures now and then. I like to imagine that one day you can be out and about in a bowling alley in the 1950s, you're talking to your friends playing some bowling and just having a good time and all of sudden your vision begins to feel all blurry. You scratch it off because you'd rather talk with your friends and soak in the moment, so, you continue talking. Until you blink, and all of sudden, the muffled ambient of the strangers conversing and the voices of your friends giggling and laughing that once made you feel so comfy vanished in but a snap. As the raw and heavy silence floods your ears before you notice and the sense of dread dampens your chest like an electrical shock. Your eyes lit up as it begins comprehend the place it once knew so dim and drought of the warm color that it once had that's now all caked in dirt, grime, and dust. It's almost as if the life was sucked out of it. And when all of that is comprehended in one moment, your brain can only convey the confusion and absurdity of the predicament with but only 4 words, "What the fuck happened?".
Its a little bit sad, not just losing luster but those places are not even repairable; roofs floors, walls all bad. I hope that you will keep doing flips, even if you dont post. Its fun and keeps your mind active.
