Finally someone who knows what they are doing. Looks like you made a lot of people mad just because you know what you are doing. Strange world we live in.
What's the different when the magnet is inside to the sensor or not? Because I saw few video and sometimes the magnet is inside to the sensor sometimes outside. Also when is no sign on the magnet ring, how do you know which side is going into inside or outside? Thanks
I have a question. I have a ebike that already has a crank sensor in it for the rear hub motor. I want to install a front hub motor of the same wattage and voltage (350w, 36v). But I don't neccesarily want to add another sensor. Can I just splice into the existing wires and wire that to my new controller? Also, can I do the same thing for a 500w front motor and will it work the same? Or will i have to install a separate crank sensor if I install a stronger motor? If I need to do that, how is it possible to install two sensors? One on each side? Seems complicated.
Don't install the PAS on the left side. It needs to go behind the crank gear. If it is installed on the left side it can be hit and damaged by your foot.
You can be restricted by moving the magnet to the pedal but it only works on certain bikes that have that makes the motor think that it's not going as fast as it should so it goes faster it's called tuning but it's actually the restricting the 25 km limit the manufacturers put on them some bikes you can hack them by the LCD
I understand you that magnet disc with the sensor must be from other side... but it is difficult to put the magnet disc with sensor, because I don't have space and easy access there.. also with this way it's working perfectly!
I know there are direction arrows on the magnet disk but Does it mater which side the magnets are facing the sensor ? As far as I know the the sensor is only sending pulsation to the controller every time it senses a magnet passing. Same with plains bicycle odometer/speedometer
I bought a conversion kit a few years ago but it just has a throttle, no pas sensor. Does this do away with the throttle and does the pas sensor plug into where the throttle was plugged into the controller?
Wow people complaining about the music. No pleasing some. I simply pressed mute. Anyway thanks a bunch for this how to install pas sensor without ringnut
i`ve done this various times, biggest problem? the sensor isnt near enough to the magnet.....no matter how much you bend the sensor sometimes still wont work.....what a pain in the ass
Willim, maybe you can help me cause NONE of these DIY help videos complete the process of putting on a PAS hack to Super73 Z...including this video. Makes no sense to me. So the controller in Super73 has a Male 6 pin cord for the pedal assist. Problem is, all of the PAS on Amazon are Male 1-pin or Male 3-pin, but I've seen videos where these Male connectors are used... but NONE EXPLAIN HOW they connectected to the controller in this situation. I'm seeking help cause the content providers assume every fukin person watching know what the fuk they are doing. Please.... assume im ignorant. Need help...Thanks /Bklyn👑
Thanks for the video. Just one question, if I may. How on earth do you stop the inner 'plunger' of the crank removal tool from driving itself into the hole left by the bolt that secured the pedal??? Because, that is what happened to me when I tried to use this tool. Fortunately, I stopped before it completely ruined the threads in the hole.
That's the cheapest worse designed sensor, you could have got a better designed one that fits in-between the peddle arm and just push fits into the casing of the bottom bracket without having to remove the BB case cover.
Thinking about getting one for about $739 because that's what they go for on eBay and it goes 25 miles per hour but it has no shocks it is a folding bike here is the name it used to be like 1300 aostirmotor a20 folding ebike,,, if you can get one refurbished do that that's what I did they make sure the brakes are perfect I heard a lot of people have problems with their brakes from Amazon
I agree man. The content provider for this channel I reached out to him explaining that I'm a newbie to ebike world, wanted to follow his PAS hack. Told him his video only shows how to hack to crank, he responded with just a like and that he supposedly is making a part 2 video... ...I'm still waiting for part 2. Not gon' hold my breath. Dumbest thing in the world to have a DIY video...and not show all the steps. /Bklyn👑
Really crap irritating music, had to turn the sound off. I agree that it would be much better if you talked about what you were doing instead of the music. If you buy a Swytch kit the sensor is in two parts and you just pull it apart (carefully, without bending it) and clip it around the crank.
Everything you've done is wrong! This device must be placed on the star side! The plastic rotating piece is installed with large magnets inward, facing the sensor.
from star side this bike didn't have space, when I place it the magnets touches on sensors, so I decide to put them from other side, 4 years until now PAS working perfectly without problems...
@@EVCustoms That is why you needed to talk during the video, to explain why you are doing it backwards. I actually think you had both the sensor ring and the magnet ring backwards. People watching this will go way thinking it's the correct assembly method, which may not work for their bike. I also had to mute the music.
Finally someone who knows what they are doing. Looks like you made a lot of people mad just because you know what you are doing. Strange world we live in.
Shut the music off and explain to ur viewers step-by-step on what you're doing, good buy
No shit,, lol
Hes not a native English speaker please co-operate hes literally gold for us no one on RUclips has ever shown this kind of info before for E- Bikes.
I really appreciate that, thank you!

will one sensor power dual hub? thanks, nice vid PAS installation

try it, seems like an easy way to keep the motors in sync.
what is that last tool called to loosen the bolt that you have that you pas on
that noise you think is music prevented me from even going 30 seconds into this
Don't install the PAS on the left side. It needs to go behind the crank gear. If it is installed on the left side it can be hit and damaged by your foot.
Hello, I think it become progressive because the motor has an integrated torque sensor.
What the reference of the motor please?

Shouldn't the magnets face the sensor?
Yep-why make a video if you show the incorrect way to install the mag disc?
I understand you that magnet disc with the sensor must be from other side... but it is difficult to put the magnet disc with sensor, because I don't have space and easy access there.. also with this way it's working perfectly!

i like both
I have a cruiser for bicycle can I put the pedal sisters the same way on like you do a mountain bike
Could you tell me what happens if that sensor wire gets cut or something do you just get throttle only
Wow people complaining about the music. No pleasing some. I simply pressed mute. Anyway thanks a bunch for this how to install pas sensor without ringnut
Can i add a front electric wheel to my rear assist e bike?
Hey I installed my PAS the same exact way that you did, but it does not seem to work, any ideas?
hei... check your PAS wiring with controller..

The plunger should be much bigger than the bolt hole so it should never fit in. Get a new crank removal tool I'd say
Are there any settings to do before using the pas?
No my friend..
I heard it's hard to turn at first like it's not working but then it gets easier taking it off
good video but put your camera in manual focus, focus on the relevant area then leave it alone, it will stop it from going out of focus all the time
i was about to say, theres no need for this music in the back but then i saw it was 5 years ago and back then that music would have slapped
That's the cheapest worse designed sensor, you could have got a better designed one that fits in-between the peddle arm and just push fits into the casing of the bottom bracket without having to remove the BB case cover.
Good music (3rd prototype - together) and better video
Any help if sensor is on other(sprocket) side??
Hi.. if you want put the magnets from other side, also you must to turn magnet sensor over from the other side of metal bracket...
The music makes it hard to watch. I gave up
The magnets are exposed like that because typically they're made to go on the gear side.
Mine goes on the gear side magnet facing in.
No the magnets face the sensor I don't even know where your sensor is I can't see it
Ni siquiera mostraste donde va conectado el cable en el sistema
how i can stop Pedal assist from my bike
unplug it

bit of an anmateur how he dis-assembles crank and bracket...
Then why don't you make a video of how to do it properly then?

Christ get yourself a better crank puller that was dreadful hard work with that thing and shut that music up ffs.
