i also tune my batter head a semi- to full tone higher than my resonant head. good to hear i'm not the only one. i've had my 14x08 Starclassic maple snare for half a year now and i can't see myself not playing a deep snare as my main anymore. looking at this as an alternative, to switch it up sometimes. deep snares and high tunings is the way to go my man! greetings from germany!
I used to have this in 13x7. I sold it, and have regretted it ever since. I'm currently playing a maple 13x7 however, I'm saving for a 14x6.5 Raw Patina Copper Phonic, and will use my 13x7 as a triggered aux snare.
no mic aand that sounds amazing!!!!!!!
It's a high quality snare that one at a good price
I just ordered it. Glad to hear a man loving his drums. Never stop drumming.

Thanks for that pal. Yes, deep snare equals more options and POWER!
Nice choice of snare there too!

Mapex 13 x 7??
Oh man, yeah I feel for you there. It's a surprisingly great snare drum. I think as close to perfection I've had.
Thanks for watching
Love it ! How does tuning hold up on this snare?
Actually could be better. Its not terrible, but it does slacken after 30 mins hard playing
Does this drum hold lug locks ok? I had a Mapex brass but the lug locks wasn’t quite touching the hoop
Well???
Very well thank you!
