Congrats on the new irons. After watching your fitting, I was anxiously waiting for this video. Glad you’re enjoying them. Looks like you are getting the expected gains! Enjoy!
One thing to add here, I was always against Graphite shafts, and didn't realize how far they've come. I recently tried out some steelfiber i95 shafts and they surely did impress me. Might go for something like that in my new set.
I was of the same opinion until I tried the MMT graphites and I’ll never go back. I love the graphite shafts. So nice to swing and the feel and response you get is incredible. You can have them lighter and stiffer, swing them fast and generate more distance. There’s not really a downside. Steel is heavy lol 😂
@@davidmaxfieldgolf Yeah I currently game the KBS $ taper lite. So they're not as heavy, but really see the benefit of the newer graphite shafts now. I also like the ability to feel where the clubhead is throughout the full swing.
@@davidmaxfieldgolf if I remember right, weren’t you in Takomo Irons before you switched to the Rogues? I don’t think they had the 301 CBM’s then. Is that why you switched?
@@lawrencecirillo3233 I switched just because I like trying different gear all the time haha but honestly they’re all really good now it’s hard to go wrong with anything really
Thanks David, just did a fitting and I was very impressed by Rogue ST Pro and MMT shaft stiff. Compared to apex pro, so much easier to play while very accurate. Even though these are not forged, I’m going to order them !
@@davidmaxfieldgolf because of you, i’m now considering the Callaway Rogue Max LS also 🤣 What shaft do you use for the driver ? I love my graphite design AD DI 6 stiff.
Hi David, thanks for the video. I am playing the ZX5 Srixon irons but feel like the wide sole is making me hit too many thin ones. Am considering getting a set of these Rogue pro irons. What's the move like from a forged face like the Srixon to a full cast club like these? Golf box have them for $800 for 4-Pw now that they're no longer current models. Thank you sir.
Dude - so true about these irons- I tried those and they were super consistent, But my contender was the mizuno pro 225, and those feel better and rocket off the face a bit more. I felt like it was the winner against these. And in the looks dept Mizuno kills it. So while i agree - i recommend you try those mizunos for a few dollars more.
I’ve hit the Mizuno also and there’s no question that they’re a nice iron 🙂 I just got better performance out of these but I guess that’s where a great fitting comes into it too. I had such a great experience in the fitting process with Callaway that it was a no brainer 😁
David I enjoy your content, and like the focus with the R10 as always. Your reviews on settings and setup seem to be pretty legit overall, and at least provide another point of feedback with your experiences on camera. The only thing that makes me question your integrity is the small moniker in the corner stating "includes paid promotion". Which part of this video is the paid promotion? Surely not the RUclips ads? The reason why I bring this up, is only 2 months ago you "signed your first club deal" with Takomo. Honestly during the same couple of weeks whereas everyone and their mother was posting Takomo vids. Now you're fitted for Callaways? What gives, man? I don't deny the performance and the shots you show in your videos for equipment reviews and etc. I do begin to question your integrity and representation of the products and the things you show as just being promotional and paid to you for supporting the products. Not trying to burst your new club bubble, just wondering. If you signed a club deal, and profess to how awesome they are, why would you switchup only a mere 2 months later? Ya know?
Hey mate, appreciate the comment. The Takomo deal was signed well before the others that came out. The video of it was just released then. The deal I have with them was from before I got the irons. At that same stage Takomo didn’t have drivers or fairway woods or balls. So that part of my bag was Callaway then as the relationship with Callaway grew there were more opportunities there and so the transition across was quite natural in the end. In terms of the paid promotion logo if you understand the back end of RUclips that also counts as “product placement” so even if these companies don’t pay me for the reviews of the products (which they don’t) the product placement means that RUclips requires me to tick that box for transparency. This is not just the clubs but also the simulator rooms and the other products that I use in the videos. It’s actually to be more transparent and to explain to everyone that the product has been placed and the review is coming from that stand point. One of the reasons why you won’t see a bad review on my channel is because I don’t believe in bagging out a brands product. There have been plenty of products sent which never make it to the RUclips channel and I give that feedback back to the companies as to why. So yes, everything you see on my channel will be positive and I will be excited about the products because if they aren’t actually good then they simply won’t be on there.
@@davidmaxfieldgolf Hey David, Thanks for the thorough reply and explanations. Yeah the youtube release timeline doesn't always match the real world timeline, heh. Can always be confusing in that matter. In any case, all sounds good. Honestly, based on your description, more people probably should be putting that "includes paid promotion" in their videos, as many/most do not. Keep the vids coming, and thanks again for the content!
@@JeremyBatts yeah agreed technically they should have it on every video to let the viewers know that they haven’t personally purchased the products and that they’ve been placed with them but it is what it is 🙂
I wouldn’t hesitate, I can’t recommend them highly enough. They’re incredible. Workable, forgiving and consistent. In relation to the shafts, personally I love the MMT. I think it’s the best shaft I’ve used and the ability to have the same shaft from driver to wedge is a massive bonus
Great looking irons! What would you recomend for a more high hcp golfer like myself? Im currently at 20hcp. Thinking about doing a fitting but would love to hear your opinion.
These irons for sure. I think just like the rogue Max LS driver these irons can fit a massive portion of golfers from scratch to 25 handicap golfers. They’re so easy to hit
@davidmaxfieldgolf tha is for the reply. I'm in the market for new (to me) irons. Just watching the fitting you had now. I was off plus 1 but have crept up to 3, getting older, 47, and losing speed, I think these may help

I tried the apex pros also and they’re amazing as well. I just preferred the feel of these and the extra distance without sacrificing spin or consistency won it for me. I love them 😁
