As @His Shadow already mentioned "NITA STRAUSS - The Wolf You Feed ft Alissa White-Gluz" or "Arch Enemy - Handshake with hell". She uses clean vocals there which is beautiful as well.

I can still remember when Jeff Loomis was winning "best guitarist" contests in Wisconsin when he was just a kid, and 30+ years later, he's in a reaction video!

I love Michael, but Loomis is a far superior guitarist. The man is an absolute beast.

Jeff is a beast! His live consistency is 99.999%. I wouldn't be an AE fan if it wasn't for Mikr though. The brains, the chief. Sure I like the older stuff a bit more but hell, it's still good. I really like that both guitarists are in the world's top 100 best. That's a lot of talent damn!

@@mikeh6286 if you really think about it, Michael is one of the reasons melodic death metal exists in the first place. He joined Carcass before Heartwork was recorded and wrote a ton of material. That’s considered by many to be the first album of that sub-genre.

Arch Enemy have had 3 singers🙂. The first was a man, Johan Liiva, they got more popular with Angela as singer, I think all 3 singers are great though.

you should check out Kamelot, the song is Sacrimony, the live version with Alissa and another singer Elize Ryd. Since you know Alissa already you will know who the other female singer is and you will get to know Tommy Karevik, the most recent lead singer for Kamelot.

This is live music. This is what you want to go see live and get an unforgetable experience. It's also great for staying healthy by listening to during exercise. It'll actually make you run faster or push harder. I call it an unfair advantage compared to other music styles. The people I ride or run with, they don't stand a chance with their pop music.😆

But definitely The Wolf You Feed with Alyssa and Nita Strauss because that video is so funny and you will love the make up that they’re wearing in it. It’s a great video and song.

Thanks for your honest reaction! I'm only starting out in this genre myself. I found Spiritbox, "Circle With Me" a great entry point. Loving your content so far!

Spiritbox is indeed a great entry point 🤘
If you don't mind, I'd recommend bands like Ad Infinitum and Eleine to continue your journey... all kinda similar, but still very different from each other

There’s some of the other songs with her where she does the ground and regular singing that’s pretty good. She’s got a good voice outside of the ground so you’d have to hear some other stuff where she seems regular and The Grill.

Alissa and Elize Ryd actually helped out Nightwish back in 2012 on a consert when the old nighwish singer got sick and Floor came over few days later to take over the lead. ruclips.net/video/I0-EoTJahBI/видео.html

Haha. I hear you. It's hard for people to get into. I was like that a long time ago but now I'm completely the other way around. I prefer heavy vocals only now. I think I woke up after I started going to live shows. The clean parts of the songs were simply not exciting the audience as much. If you're used to listen to studio songs all the time then I understand you'll never make the shift and be happy, but with live songs and crowd interaction, and just having a spectacular energetic live show, it's hard to beat the passion in a good heavy vocal to get your ass moving and screaming. It's like music for gods. Haha..

Yeah, true fans of archenemy won’t like this comment, but made myself I like Alexa better. But it’s definitely a first because I’ve never ever heard of a lead singer leaving a group and picking her replacement. That’s crazy but awesome.

It's interesting that you say you can't enjoy it as much if you don't understand the lyrics! I'm very similar! I also don't like it when singers "puke" incomprehensible stuff into the mic! But I even think that Alissa, the woman here, is very easy to understand! Okay, maybe you don't understand every word the first time you listen! But there is much worse!
