This plugin is modeled after the classic API 560 10-band equalizer. It has a "Proportional Q", which widens the filter bandwidth at lower boost/cut levels and progressively narrows at higher settings, and 10 frequency bands divided into one-octave increments, which helps to prevent potential phasing issues and to enhances musicality and clarity.

API 550 eq is my GOTO for colouring master buss. it always work for clarity and depth

Thanks. I have this plug in but have rarely used it. I appreciated your focus on its uses and contraints. I've wondered about it's use on acoustic guitar since that is my instrument, and when I eq it is generally limited to less than 12db in either direction, hopefully less than 6. I have used the 550 on acoustic guitar and I've liked it. Think I'll give the 560 a whirl.
