    The design is very pretty, thank you for sharing the pattern! In the star stitch row, in the end you say 'there will be one stitch left, in which you make a double crochet, but there was no stitch left. I made the double crochet in the same stitch as the last loop of the star.

      YES! I took it apart so many times and redid it and it was always the same result. Two loops left every single time

    Turned out really cute. Only problem is that it can fit a baby to toddler size, but not even close to an adult size. I did follow your pattern, so I’m going to make another and add in more chains to make it big enough for an adult. Hopefully that’ll work

      I went up to a size 5.5 needle that helped. I personally cannot end with one stitch at the end of the star stitch!! I’m trying it a 3rd time!! Did anybody else have this problem? .

    beautiful pattern when finished, but 19 inches definately not big enough once its done! It was maybe my hook size/yarn weight, but its definately not big enough for an adult. One day I'll get a better sense of how to guess at sizes haha

    So I am to the last few rows and realized this will be way to small! Is this for a child size? I’m reading various size charts and most recommend 80+ chains for adult.

      Nope! Mine came out to be 19" inches and it fits my 21" head perfectly. But, if you need to make it bigger you can continue your chain in multiples of two until you reach the length you need. I hope that helps!

      @leepyloops My head is 23", and mine came out child sized too. It fits my 5yo granddaughter perfectly.

      I always go 80 chains or more, depending on the yarn weight.

      I used a J hook (6mm), and that made it big enough following her stitch count.

    I love this pattern but I keep losing a stitch during the star stitch portion and can’t figure out why 😢 am also confused since your video chains 68 and your written instructions say make any size using multiples of 2 + 1 chains which I assume would be an odd number…

    • @glynette6570
      @glynette6570 2 месяца назад

      Row 1 starts in the second chain from the hook; so if you chained 68, you’ll have 67 stitches.

    How can I make this about 5" bigger? I made the ine, and it will not fit my monster noggin, however it is perfect for my 5yo granddaughter. I see someone wrote something along the lines of 3+1 to add length. Does that mean in increments of 4, or like 3*3=12(+1), so my total increase would be 13? I always get confused as to when to add the +1. Please help. Also, this tutorial is the absolute best one I have ever followed. Super clear, slow and well explained. Thank you .

      Hi there! Yup! Just Chain in multiples of 3 until you reach the length needed, then add 1 at the end of the chain. I hope that helps!
