Looking forward to seeing you this summer
I’ve learned so much from these videos.
I actually ended up signing up for grey sheet. Im often out and about and i always fear over paying for coins especially raw coins. I also use your coin auction help proce guide now too. I look at at both and try to pay back of the average if possible lol!
Nice too see someone address this topic. I learned the hard way not to buy certified cleaned coins or raw coins that have questionable color. Very informative. Thank you.
In the end, it has to be negotiated between buyer and seller. In addition, normal 1 to 2 grades lower than expected grade with only exception an exceedingly rare coin. Ex 1955 double die, rare coins
This will be a great help to me since I will start selling some of my coins soon. At least I hope I'll be selling soon. Awesome video, Daniel. There are no others like you out there willing to share their professional expertise so willingly, and I think I can speak for everyone when I say; thank you so very much Daniel!
Great information Daniel!! Thank you!!
Good video Daniel! I have a number of Cleaned, Graded Coins that were inexpensive, and beautiful!
Very informative. I assumed that cleaned coins were basically worth face value.
Thanks for sharing ! 👍
Thank you 🙏 now I have a better understanding. I thought dealers would only pay face for them
Thanks for another video.
It’s personal preference. I like collecting Morgans that are in the Good to XF grade because they are affordable, attractive, have been circulated, and cost usually less than cleaned AU coins. To be liquid I would rather have a CC coin I can unload for a few hundred bucks than a $5,000 coin that most dealers will not drop cash for, especially if it’s cleaned.
Thank you Daniel. Love the explanation and "details" ..no pun intended. lol Way back I bought a few slabbed details coins but I do try to steer away from them..but then again...buy the coin, not the slab. If a details coin looks good and not all goobered up, it will sell better..might not make the normal prices but wont hit rock bottom either.
Good info here, thank you...
I bought cleaned coins when I was younger because my budget was smaller. Generally these were scarce dates I could get for less money. By the same token, when you go to sell, you won't get as much either. If you use discretion you can find nice looking key dates and semi-key dates. That is if you can live with the fact its been messed with.
Thanks!
Thank you! I appreciate that!!
Thanks Mr Daniel. What I am concerned about are “Morgan Dollars” being sold for $2.49. People without a “tester” could very well get taken and that is a very black mark on the hobby. There should be a way to control that.
A cleanes coin for myself is a ruined coin. It's incredible the amount of cleaned coins out there.....I mean, do people still clean coins nowadays or are all these cleaned coins happen a long while ago? Both? It just doesn't seem worth it to go through all that trouble
Everyone that knows coins knows that you Don't clean coins .... But when you get ms price for a coin that has been cleaned unc details then does that mean that we should change our thinking about the hobby?
So beware of what eBay will sell you..
For many (cleaned coins)
They will try to sell for full price!
Especially if it's a key date.
And that goes pretty much for anything from half cents to gold!
Daniel, I like the videos you have. How do you feel about the recession? Do you think these coins will go up in value?
Key dates and coins that are in higher mint state conditions will continue to go up in value.
@@acousticshadow4032 because that is not my question. Why would I ask that? 😕
I don’t have an opinion on any recession. People still get rich no matter how bad the economy is, you just have to continue working at it and educating and innovating yourself and life.
Doing seated coins in the VG to XF+ range the concerns about cleaning seem overblown. How does a mid-range "collector" navigate the cleaned/uncleaned isssue - or does it matter ?
I am not sure what you're asking here, sounds like a personal preference of which I can advise on.
@@kitnye5729 I never even said that. I said value depends on the eye appeal but it will reduce the value, as in MS coins can sell for AU58 prices, I showed that in the video.
This video is not about cleaning coins or not, but how much they're worth IF they're already cleaned.
You have poor communication, I am sorry, but in the past I tried to send you emails. In the video comments you get things wrong then just "crickets". It's just not how you do things.
i personally stay away from details/problem coins. unless it is a rare piece, there is no investment value to be had in the future.
I have a few ANACS slabbed Coins and in my opinion they are quite nice coins, Why are these coins not valued as much as NGS and PCGS slabbed coins. I thought WE all buy the Coin, not the label!
Because ANACS has a suspect reputation for over grading coins in the past. Your top value coins for the most part are graded by NGC or PCGS today because of past transgressions by that company. (ANACS)
Because people really do buy the holder and not the coin.
well it happened. your wrong! proof coins are better. lol
Wrong about what?
Even impaired proofs?
I just melt the cleaned ones 😂 keep the population low 🤣💀⚖
Daniel always say's"Buy the Coin Not the Holder"this is a perfect example.More important NOW DAY'S"BUY THE MAN "
IF U CAN'T HOLD THE COIN IN HAND TO EXAMINE. iF BUYING ONLINE U NEED AN Honest Seller especially if you are not an expert on money (scam's are everywhere online). This is Why even after collecting for 62 yrs, I Buy from Daniel

I agree, what I've ordered online has been more fairly priced and of higher quality than what I could find some other places. Plus, it's nice supporting the family businesses left out there. Have a good day! 🦅
