After getting back home I saw that the door on the pc78 had slid open! So I looked back to the video and it starts to open right at the start… You’ve got to real mean it when you shut that door or it will wiggle loose. Luckily it just slides around the machine instead of hinging open. Just thought I’d share see if you all notice. Have a good one!!
I drove an old R~Model like that with a 300 and a five speed and it damn sure wasn't fancy like the W~900's and 379's I drove later in life but it was reliably rugged and it always got the job done . Jeez that was a lifetime ago, thanks for the fond memories ! One stack Mack without a shack on the back LOL !
I would just like to say I have been running R models since 1991 they really are the best highway tractors currently have a 78 and 88 model R good video
Bom dia amigo, gostaria muito de morar neste lugar, gosto de mais de caminhões e máquinas antigas, saudações do Eugenio que mora no Paraná Brasil 👍👏🤜🤛🤝...
Absolutely amazing video man I just subscribe to your channel I love the sound of your truck will you please see if you can do an extremely long 3 to 4 hour ASMR video of you driving this thing and include engine start up that would be awesome. thanks man stay safe I hope all is well with you. Have a great day.
Straight 5 speed is tough. It’s a good truck but having lower gears would be better. The AutoCar has the low end and we have a Mack with a 9 speed that we need to work on
@@carldrexler7883we’ve got another R model we need to get back on the road. Hopefully we can. We have a replacement 9 speed for it if we can fine the time to work on it
I’ve had several viewers from Brazil. These old Mack trucks are tough trucks. My uncle says as long as you have a hammer and a 9/16 wrench you can fix most problems to get back home haha

Very nice video. Beautiful countryside too. Keep up the great work. Love the Mack.
Another great video! I like the two views when you turn or in a narrow section.
Yep I moved the pc200 recently, it will be a while before I get that video put together, but I’m going to do the same with that video.

Thank you. I’ll do my best.
I just moved a pc 200 excavator that I’ll put a video together, it’ll be about 30min long.
@@AppalachianRust amazing brother I look forward to it
I bet you wish your truck was a twin stick pulling two machines? Going up those hills sounds like she bogged down some?

@@AppalachianRust still think you’re better off with a 6 speed, a 9 speed only has a 12.65 low gear or mabe an 8 speed double low
Motorista de caminhão prancha tem que ser qualificado haha
I have one of those DRAGONFLY trucks ,you drag her up one side and fly down the other.
Got to get that swing
Hope you appreciate how lucky you are to have wear you and what you 👍😉
Absolutely
Same truck same load many yrs ago me
Ol’ Mack’s never really go away they just find new owners
They’ve been workin on this bridge for three years. Drive by and everyone is sitting down.
They do have it open now, finally
Is that a 300 and a 5 speed
Yes sirrr
I like it reminds me of an old log truck we got but it's a 9 speed. If you ever want to get rid of that truck I'd love to have it

You could use a load securement education. Those 6,600lb rated 3/8 chains might as well be rubber bands.
