In this tutorial-style of video i share with you all my tips, tricks and strategies to becoming a combat pro with the new Ceratosaurus in the isles 6.5 update!
Post upload me here, people I get it that the audio is a little messed up and I do apologise but please stop the hurtful comments, constructive criticism is great feedback but saying "shit video" and things of the like isn't helping. I can admit making a mistake but balancing content creation and other external factors like my studies is not easy so I will make mistakes, everybody does. I appreciate those spending time giving me genuine feedback to really improve my future content. The simple matter is if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it.

Rid of the music
I think the safest Strat a Cerato can do is the Komodo Dragon Strat. Make them throw up at least once and then back off and let their hunger and thirst tap out. Then you are free to bite them as they try to eat or drink until the die.
Another thing thats pretty important is that If your target throws up once, he wont have a Lot of food left, so If you bite him Like 2 times He will throw up again and again. Essentially that means, in a carno vs cerato matchup you can basically Facetank from that point on. Its dangerous with tenonto or cerato, since cerato can make you throw up too and tenonto can Just kick you over and potentially finish you.
Yeah that's what I love about cerato, it can punch high above it'd weight class and still be a great survivalist creature

I have 1 more Tipp if u must attack as a cera: start with a Charge bite the opponement will do the same run around from him before he Hits u and u will make the first charge bite and can Facebook tank him

The teno v cera matchup is easier in the actual game since the teno may not have full hunger so makes it easier for them to get vomit stunned

If that guy named Shadow Interrupting fights is still around on the Isle Discord.. he played a FG Steggo the other day and murdered like 4 dibbles in my group as he pretended to be friendly. Thankfully I got away as the biggest dibble, but it was a bit obnoxious since in Discord after he was very happy about what he did as an evil Steggo.

Thanks for this amazing Cerato guide, it was really useful. Everyone is complaining about the music but that shows they really not fans of Jurassic Park and cant recognise where it is from. I really have to know: which music version are you using from 5.07 going? I know all of them from the original Jurassic Park The Lost World for playstation 1, They are my favorite orchestrated music ever. Especially the one with Tenonto has the Isle of Giants music in there. Which music versions are you using? Cant find your versions, only the original ones.

My favorites are Primordial forest and Isle of Giants, which basically are kinda the same but both of them give off that Little Dino trying to escape BIG GIANT carnivore vibes. The compy levels were amazing especially when u heard dinos in the background of the music 🔥💣🔥 Very nice memories

@@Hexa9501 yeap simple times, right now its all about unreal engine and high quality graphics etc. But they lack content, chills, and substance.
But that particular game + its music is pure Core Memory awakened. I used to put PsX1 emulators on PC just to play them once again

idk lol i havent played isle in months 💀. all jokes aside id assume it is probably. as far as im aware ceras turn hasnt been touched but idk about carnos
I already knew how to fight a carno as a Cera, I personally wouldn't use the drift, bc the circle is to small and the hitbox is obviously Hella glitched, so sometimes u may get hit, I prefer to make bigger loop than that, it still does the job and doesn't have me worried about getting hit by the dumb hitbox and as for teno, idk how to fight a teno properly for the most part, this Cera in the vid got lucky.
Still working on teno. For thr drift yeha depending on thr ping wider circled can be better but in general it doesn't really matter, I prefer the drift so I can reposition quickly but both work

Yeah ive tried it too, only reason I didn't include it is because it's a bit inconsistent compared to the strat I showed but both work great

I know you're already aware of the sound bug from the comments, but, the music this genre in general was a bad choice. Honestly for these kinds of guide videos that are shorter and more just focused on mechanics, music isn't even a must since the game sound is enough. If the video was for entertainment purposes, or had silly edits and jokes and such, sound effects would make sense but even then aren't necessary. Good video, good information.

any suggestion with cera vs teno, where the teno runs after the cera?
Try to run to a bush or cover. If you're out of stamina just try avoiding the tail. I'd reccomend just trotting backwards and forwards to get out of tail slam and kick range. Easier said than done ofc but a teno isn't going to try facetabking a cera without tail slams or kicks

Then use the close combat strategy if it doesn't wanna charge. If it keeps running away then keep running at the Carno. Cerato can run down Carno. Its likely after a while the Carno will either try To charge you or it'll just run, either way the cera should be fine
For your next videos you should find a way to make your microphone louder and the music a little quieter.

There are admin servers in evrima, I was playing on Norden. Join their discord and they'll give you admin
Could anyone help me with this the cerato vs cerato bite strat i don't understand i watched it again and again and again but still couldn't understand what he was trying to say
I was essentially trying to say that if they begin chasing wait until they charge bite. A few seconds after they start theirs you start yours. As their bite ends you turn around and bite them as your chargebjte is a few seconds behind theirs so yours should end a bit sooner which allows you to turn and hit them while they finish the end of the biting animation. To be honest that's not really happening. As evrima has continued updating and as they've changed the game I've jjst sort of stopped playing. I personally don't like all the changes such as the stam system and increase in growth times. 6.5 was near peak evrima since these issues wernet a thing and I don't rrelly like gateway either. If I'm uploading anything it'll probably be path of titans which is a game I find much more enjoyable

The chuff mechanic signals the body buff is In action whenever near a corpse, it also let's the whole sever know where you are 🤣

Sided for the most part as cera has bleed and venom resistance. Ig general tips I would give would be to stay near cover and don't get yourself in a corner where your Jaws can face the raptor. Run while you don't have bleed but when you have bleed stand your ground. If you make the omni puke run after it since its stamn will be really low

Unless it's a recent patch Im 90% sure it's 300 since it takes around 7-8 charge bites to kill a carno which adds up to around 300, unless I'm a dumbass 😅

Cera v Teno is a really hard match up, I had to dial down my teno a bit so the cera could kill me

Charge bite was 350 when cera bite force was 175 but it's back to 150 and 300 now

Once you kill one you'll at least get some defensive buffs
What does the 3 call do?
if you are near a player corpse the cerato wil automatically 3 call or "chuff" this will give you increased armour/defence in combat making you resist bleed,venom and raw damage. The effect you get multiplies based off of your weight compared to the body, for example: A deino corpse would give you a larger buff than a Pachy or Teno corpse.

thats only for 1v1s :) in game there are no 1v1s . solo always outnumbered by atleast 1 or 2
True however these tactics can still be used in 2v2 3v3 etc, when you're outnumbered in the isle it's usually just best to run

Trust me they do, I didn't pull these strats out of my ass I've played hours of officials and tested them alot in admin servers and officials and all thr strata work decently well, especially the cera v cera 😅
