A few years ago, Coach of the St. John Bosco brave was interviewed when his team came down to Hawaii to play Mililiani Trojans. He was talking about his team coming out to play on the islands and he mentioned how the Texas teams hardly ever play out-of-state competition. He went further to mentioned the times a TX team does play an OOS team, they are always hosting it. I believe the Honolulu Star Advertiser (local paper) or KHON (tv) had the rights to this video. I had to rewind the video to make sure I heard the SJB coach calling out (rightfully so) Texas teams.
That’s true but it’s because the governing body that’s over Texas High School sports The UIL prohibits teams from Texas to travel out of State. Silly rule but that’s how it is

Even though the too Texas publics do recruit players, it's more for plugging roster holes than it is a way to build a team. Having SJB travel to play North Shore would be like Bama going to the Fargo Dome to blast NDSU by 40. What's being proven?
@@jimmierustler4887 Jimmy welcome to Friday night in California you see we don't call these privates we don't call them Publix it's a Friday night every high school public high school has to play these privates cuz there's so many my high schools ranked number 12 in the state got rolled over I looked it up Santa Margarita private school but they're really good but we don't call it private they're just a good high school that's all in California we call these high schools and here's a good news every other year or so they get beat we might see one this weekend on Friday Night Centennial probably the best public high school in the country playing MD and this team is known to beat these teams but like I said it's just another Friday night to us..oh what does NDSU mean?

These cali people always worried about Texas strength of schedule but i dont see any team out of MD and Sjb willing to come to Texas to play the top public schools. Still gotta respect these programs. Consistency in a team is what matters. North Shore continues to display that. Hopefully these Cali vs Texas showdowns keep coming. Even Florida and some Georgia matchups would be nice to see. If not Bosco, MD or Centennial. Maybe St Thomas Aquinas vs North Shore or Westlake.
Florida consistantly has more teams in the Top 25 than either Cali/Texas/Georgia. I believe Florida would be a better matchup against those IMG/American Heritage/St.Thomas schools that are always basically Top 15 should come here.

@@bjones2366 How many of those players in SJB live in bellflower and how many in MD players live in Santa Ana? Majority of Texas players live within the school zone and talent is too spread out, most school in Texas will at least have 0-2 ncaa recruits. MD and SJB has a whole region to get players from.
