    This show has so much more substance than first take. We just got a glimpse into an NFL locker room listening to these two, and Skip was great too. He added to the conversation and it was authentic. YOU DO NOT GET THAT ON FIRST TAKE!!! NIT EVEN CLOSE!!! All you get there is the narrative, with some left wing partisanship sprinkled in. People watch first take for the personalities. People watch undisputed to gain perspective.

    Good comments Shannon, as well. These players need to hear from the people they look up to and respect. Part of the problem is you have so many coaches that haven't won anything, or don't back up what they profess. So, the players who are great are the only ones really they will listen to. I must admit, the best players often come with something emotionally off center that fuels them. And the passion does drive them.

      You would think that perhaps JPP or Cruz would step up, but maybe they already have. Then again, JPP is playing for a big money contract (which is not going that well) and Cruz has been out of the game for the last two years, They have their own thing to worry about.

    interesting how an nfl lockeroom works , in regards to odell and the giants, i think the best thing to do is to perhaps bench obj. Make Obj know that one player dont make a team, and that the giants dont need him to win a football game. This situation seems very similar to what the Redskins had to deal with RG3 , they enabled him, his head got too big, and it distracted the team, now idk obj, he doesnt strike me as a selfish player, perhaps a player who drowns in his own hype, but not a selfish one. i hope he gets himself together, he has the physical ability, just needs the mental ability

  • @dereed5222

    In my opinion, the Giants should've never fired Tom Coughlin. He kept ALL of his players disciplined. He would've been pulled Odell to the side and tell him to stop the foolishness. Dude just needs to ignore the trash talk and just play his game. We all know that he's great.

    • @mareo187
      @mareo187 8 лет назад +1

      They can still comeback and I agree what you said. Mostly all the former players like Ahmed Bradshaw, Tuck, Jacob all had issues of thinking that Coughlin was wrong of benching them or yelling at them for something foolish but he did that to make them think again and observe what they did wrong.
      As for Coughlin coming back i think he can but the noticeable spots are a advisor, Assistant coach, something else that leads the team.

Odell, would be fine if he just plays ball and understand the world isn't against him. The second you show a defender they can get under your skin....You are in for a looooooong season. thats not going do nothing, i mean mot that much to them. The best thing to do is either have a Giants vet to counsel him, Coach give him tough love/ the players aswell. There is alot of stuff to make the young man learn and its going to happen.
      Eli now finally accept the idea that Odell needs to learn on his own and face the consequences. We all know that most refs are bs but you have to deal with it and shut them down with clean jaw dropping plays like he mostly do.
      T. Coughlin also tackle the issue too this week and said that Odell is a very good kid but he need to learn how to suppress his anger.

      Because he's one of the better players on the roster and a lot of young guys look to him as a leader. He needs to act like a leader, that starts first with being professional, You can have all the talent in the world but if you throw fits like Dez tends to do and miss team meetings then you won't go anywhere in the league. Its his job to be a true professional and set a standard for the new guys.

    only way things change is the owners have to start hiring former players as coaches or get alot of former respected players on the staff if not this wil continue

    football is an emotional game I have no problem with dez he has passion and gets his team motivated winning or losing. odell let's things get in his head and wants to fight everyone when he gets frustrated. I'll take dez even though he's been injury prone and yea he skipped mri. but he admitted his mistake and moved on. missing team meeting idk if that's just speculation.

      I have thought of this for the past month or so! I love dez but if he can't ever be healthy why have him? I would trade him for a guy like stefon diggs, a player on their d-line and maybe a 2nd or 3rd round draft pick

    Beckham can't always get what he wants. I like him as a player, but he needs to mature. He flips if he loses for example week 3 manning threw the pick and he went berserk. I see why Stephon Gilmore called him a prima donna. He is not having fun anymore come on man?! It's life a reality check he needs to learn especially since he is young. Now Dez although Romo isn't as good he needs to stop complaining and whining and start being the leader he his and be an example of a player. He needs to respect his teammates. And care about his team.

    • @mareo187
      @mareo187 8 лет назад +2

      he going to learn sooner or later just need people that give him the real like Eli and Tomm said this week. Ben needs to do it too, Odell some tough love to understand the game and his teammates on the field.
