Agree that Romo wasn't a "born leader" but he developed into one. Remember when he had lost all his receivers to injury & went into OT against the 49ers with cracked ribs & a punctured lung? He went straight to Jessey Holley, told him to be ready & threw him the game-winning pass. Is that not leadership?
I agree Romo has grown into a leader. But IMO someone born with that gift will always have the advantage over someone who wasn't. Dak has the same innate traits that Tom Brady has that took him to 4 SB's. He's showing year 1 what Romo likely didn't develop until he was the wrong side of 30. And it's only going to grow.
this was not a debate.this was more like a group of distinguished gentleman, highly qualified on the subject matter, having an intelligent conversation over fine scotch crumpets. "i do say Ol chap" well done gentleman
Dak is the starter after the bye-week. After that who know's! Its all about the chemistry and momentum right now. Dallas is playing the best football period. It's a balanced attack, melt the clock, ball security, field position team.
BloozeDaddy Yah who knows? Dak is starting the Philly game. After that who know's??? Because Romo is set to return at that time. Unless Jerry comes up with something or Tony himself declares to Dak.
Lasspeng hold your horses there buddy. Toe to toe in every single position on the cowboys vs the eagles , the cowboys are the better team all around. They don't need to worry about emerging, you do that in pre season.
elchucofried that's what I'm saying I hate That Jason Is a Punk and Not Speaking up for the team its always Jerry like his the coach If you notice Jason haven't Been on Tony Much as Jerry jones Even Jason want to keep Dak in u can tell but doesn't want to say nothing
Big difference between this team and practically every team Romo has had his 10 years at QB. Defense is actually carrying their weight, the O line isn't Swiss cheese the run game is led by an all star RB. Other than Murray in 2014 Romo has been saddled with mediocre RB play, below average o line play for years, and historically bad defenses for year. He was literally carrying the team to win for multiple seasons. People seem to forget how bad the entire team has been other than Romo and Witten for the last 6-8 years. Leads to him throwing more to keep the Cowboys in the game which lead to int's. We're seeing it with Andrew Luck the last season and a half the team around him is mediocre and he's having to force the ball more leading to his int's being up. Yet he seems to be given the benefit of the doubt when it's literally the same thing Romo dealt with for years and people just seem to stay in the mindset that he's garbage even though he had the Cowboys in contention every single season. Kind of unfair if you ask me to say he was the reason when the team around him was lacking. Dak is benefitting from an entire team that's finally good for the first time in 7-8 years Romo would be just as if not more successful with this same roster. We literally saw it in 2014 when he finished 2nd in MVP voting.
UNDISPUTED ON FS1 let Tony be the back up and give dak advise and help dak get better then in the end of the season trade him for a 1 round pick and improve on the defense we need a ware , Newman to improve the defense. or trade for a 2 good defense player that need a qb but that also has the players to keep Tony safe . It well be pointless trade Tony with a team like the browns he won't even last one pre season with that line he get killed. but dallas does have the chance to trade for either good rookie picks with low pay or trade for good players that know the NFL but well cost a bit more and last about 3 to 4 years depending on who they get . So dallas needs to take advantage
I like what I see from Dak, but we need to be a little more patient with him before we make our decisions. I agree, winning is a mentality, removing him right now might turn everything around for the team.
David Greenberg so when the Cowboys were down by two touchdowns at half time against the 49ers they weren't down and didn't need to score? How do you know that Dak will fail in those situations if he's never been in one?
Ramon Mercedes I hope romo comes back against Cleveland because I still believe in romo if healthy and this team especially the offense can reach another level under his leadership and wisdom. ★
KERVE HITS but then he loses confidence cuz all he'll be thinking about is how bad he did the ONLY thing you could do is chose who you want leading the team and leave him there no matter what
+Matt XD from jerry said that hes not sure who will keep starting,i already know that they only let him keep playing as long as he winning.i give him two lost games in a row tops .they will put romo in there
Gotta trade Romo for draft picks now.Get rid of that inflated contract and 36 year old injury prone QB.Thank for your service Romeo but it's business not personal...
I see what you mean but I wouldn't at least not now because anything can happen and I'd much rather have romo as 2nd backup then mark Sanchez as backup
Dallas needs to give Romo the Peyton treatment. Notice Denver went through this last year, Denver killed the media by saying Peyton hurt, remember Brock played most of their season. It was the last couple of games where Brock was playing horrible, especially last game of the regular season. They put Manning in the game to win for home field advantage. Until Dak plays horrible, put in Romo. Romo is an incredible Backup right now, Dallas just need stay patient
People keep saying take dak out if he plays bad. What people don't understand is when you get benched for your play, that messes with your psyche just a little bit. It's better for dak to leave it to romo knowing he can play with the big boys learn all he can from romo, then use that knowledge and his even greater understanding of the game to become an even better qb.and use that for when he starts next year. I love everything tony has done for us, that's why I hope we can win it all this year so he can ride off into the sunset with a ring, but that's wishful thinking.
Hey Momma no i was stoked to! hahaha!..and its crazy and i quote Dware after the super bowl.."yeh this is great i just wish i could have been walking out on this field with my guys romo and witten " he said that or something very similiar to that..look it up if you didnt know.
wishful is right...i want the boys to win it all...romo or dak....just win it all....but to learn from romo?...he's not brady or manning,,to learn what? to throw interceptions?
"Dak is playing really, really well," Bledsoe said. "The team is so good around him. There's also a similarity between those two situations, New England's with me and Dallas' with Tony. While Tommy was playing, our offensive line got right and the team started playing well around him. When that happens, sometimes there's some magic to a young kid being in there. The team steps up with the young kid in there. Once they do that, they keep playing that way. Drew Bledsoe
3rd highest qbr in NFL history. Won 3/4 games started last season. Went 12-4 the year before. Has been a giant killer his entire career, has won last 7 games vs giants. All facts.
+Terryl Richey 2 which is good considering the teams he had those years. right now romo has the best team around him that hes ever had and has a legit chance at a super bowl this season. if we had him week 1 we would be 6-0
+Terryl Richey romo is obviously way better then Eli that proves that super bowls and playoff wins mean nothing its a team sport. eli is inaccurate and always throwing picks
The most intelligent sports conversation about the Cowboys in a very long while.... much better than the conversations between Skip & Stephen A. previously held on First Take.
it would appear that the o-line in Dallas can't protect immobile, brittle Romo. the line is made for a running offense, rb and qb. time to move on from Romo I think.
King none I never looked at it like that. Good point!!! You never said romo was a bad qb. Its just that that line is made for a more of a solid mobile qb... Romo can be mobile some but he gets hurt 60% of the time. Some times it a short or long injury. But he will make a good back up qb or a starting else where but they gotta have that line for romo
exactly I think at all times the point is to win in bball players come off the bench and still perform at q high level itw weird to me in football the 2nd string qbs are always trash
It's the NFL , if Dak stays healthy then he should remain the starter. Romo needs to wait until Dak screws up badly or gets hurt before he's named the starter again. O nly reason to play Romo would be to watch him get hurt again.
I met some people that own a BBQ restaurant on Mississippi and they said they knew Dak. They said that he was a fine young man, and that he carries himself in a very respectful manner. They said his presence changes a room, and that be was gonna do well in the NFL. Some of this stuff is exactly what Shannon and Ray just said. 4 months later after talking to these people, who were white southern people( that matters by the way to me) and hearing others say it now on TV who are close to the game....I know this kid is something special! He should keep playing so we can all see the things in him that everyone else does......plus pulling him out because Romo is healthy again would be just dumb! I mean, he's never won anything anyways, so I don't see what the big deal is.
I heard all of that talk and they don't know nothing. This is why they shouldn't be a coach because no one brought up the fact that no rookie Qb has ever led their team to a Super bowl. All of this special stuff that they are talking about lead to a first round loss at home. If the Cowboys would have put Romo back in they would have won the Superbowl that year. No one talks about the easiest schedule in the league and have 6 sec to throw if you would have given Romo that type of time we would scored so much that Dak could have come in and got rep. Dink and dunk Dak only slowed the offense down and threw a lot of check downs against bad defenses . He only had success because no one had film on him but you saw what happened when when a harder schedule the next year he was just not ready and he still is not ready. They want you to believe that you should have your best players on the field. The reason Brady won then because they had a great defensive and was allowed to make mistakes and it doesn't cost you the game. Their coaching is the best in the league and they play in the easiest division in football.
of course he is...he can run...he can pass...he doesn't panic....he's actually in great physical shape....and he's 13 years younger. The RomoFans were expecting Dak to look like a typical lost rookie...didn't happen. Too bad...enjoy your millions Romo...and your hot wife. You had your decade to get it done.
BloozeDaddy --actually it was the Cowboys haters that thought he was gonna look lost out there, which is why they laughed at Cowboys fans. He looks great in pre season and the haters still won't acknowledge it. He wins a few games in the regular season, came back from behind and most haters still wouldn't give props. Ohhh but "yea I'll give props to Dak now if it means I get to bash Romo", Cowboys fans knew they had something good going with Dak, the Cowboys/Romo haters are now acknowledging his good play only bc they get to bash Romo in the process. So naw it wasn't Romo fans who thought that, it was the Cowboys haters.
***** Romo can't stay healthy and just on that because we see 1 QB play every week so far is good. and its still the o line behind elliot and demarco the defense has been sub par so far. and romo is still a starter but DAK and EZEKILLE they need to start rebuilding and not start a 36 year old with injury history
Fernando Fuerte Just bc he can't stay healthy doesn't mean that "Dak is better than Tony Romo ever was..." that's just plain wrong, 6 games in and he's better than Romo ever was? Naw. As a Cowboys fan I want them to go as it is right now and not let Romo come in bc I just think it might disrupt the flow, but you saying what Dak has done in 6 games that he's better than Romo ever was is just plain wrong though.
personally i say start romo and see how he does for the 1st 4 games after the bye just ti give him a chance to make a statement. if he does what he did in 2014 and plays good keep your boy in but if hes playing like trash start dak
DAM SKIP, U THROWING ROMO UNDER THE BUS!! I BELIEVE ROMO IS STILL A MAJOR FORCE IN FOOTBALL!! I STILL BELIEVE ROMO CAN GET THE DALLAS COWBOYS A SUPERBOWL WIN!!! DAK IS F**KING AWESOME!! GO DALLAS COWBOYS!!!
Wow this is wayyy better than First Take!!! Bring Ray Lewis more. You guys talking about chemistry but you three have a really good chemistry. I can watch you guys for hours!
Tony Romo should get job back. Dak isn't going anywhere. I disagree with these guys. Romo's upside is greater. And if he doesn't play well, replace him with Dak. It's that simple. I think more credit should go to coaches for the position they put Dak. They balance offense well with run, keeps pressure off Dak. Tony could do the same, or even better. He should start when he comes back.
Robert Julien I said Romo failed year after year. I didn't point out last year specifically. He's either injured or choking, neither of the two are good for the team.
that magic they're talking about, the chemistry between team mates, that all plays a big part in how well any team is doing. Quarterback is an important position. To change it now, you're risking losing that magic and confidence your team has in their field general. Once that confidence is gone it won't be as simple as just putting Dak back in to play.
I gotta disagree sorta with Skip on the MVP race two years ago. Demarco Murray was the real MVP of 2014. Sure Rodgers was the best Qb that year and JJ Watt was the DPOY. However, Murray rushed for 1,800 yards and made Tony and Dez available. Once Murray left Dallas, Dez and Tony got injured again.
THEY HAVE THE BEST OFFENSIVE LINE IN FOOTBALL. It doesn't matter if tony is starting or dak, either way zeke will keep eating and whoevers throwing will be fine lol
Romo to Houston for Clowney and picks. Also Dak benefits from good timing....Elliott. Romo is like "Give me Elliott and watch what I can do." A valid THOUGHT that respectfully loses out to what's been SEEN.
I think Romo is a talented qb and has probably had more bad luck than some with injuries and plays not going his way. However nobody is going to care too much in the end if the results are not there. The Cowboys have been waiting for a dominant run for way too long to let this slip by. Nothing to lose in letting it play out at least for the next few weeks.
I agree with everything but the "recapturing", I think we would be able to recapture this chemistry at the start of the next year if Romo leaves and Dak plays
yea thats a good sign,in the 90's they never worried about the other teams in their division..their mindset was how was we gonna beat the 49ers in the nfc championship game....
speculation after speculation. how do ppl not know if Dallas gets better with Romo? no one would do this with Cam, Ryan, Flacco, and Palmer. Play Romo and watch the offense get better
They would definitely do it to Palmer if a younger Qb on team. The rest of those qbs are very young not a 36 year old qb coming off missing almost a years worth of games
all we have to go on is how Romo played the last time he was on the field...NO 2014....and he was NOT good....5 tds / 7 ints/ 1 fumble. Since then he's broken two more bones and is a year older....let reality set in ....listen to the pros who KNOW...everyone is lining up for Dak at this point...it's so obvious...speculation not needed.
BloozeDaddy Peyton Manning's stats last season and he won the Super Bowl. Enough said about stats. Let's look at reality. Dallas was 2-0 with Romo last season at the start and he was 3-1 at the end of the season. Hmmm...similar to Dak who was 3-1 at one point. Romo didn't have this kid Zeke. He was winning with Jo Randle at the start and then McFadden towards the later part. No Dez. Beas wasn't the full on beast he is now. Brice Butler was developing. Just saying, Romo did that and before then was one play away from a Super Bowl in the season he went 12-4 with Murray and they lacked D even that season. Dak should start against Philly and then play Romo in Cleveland and go from there with
Flynt Coal make more excuses....Manning is a sure fire HOF QB...Romo? not so much. You side against all these football minds...think about that. Jimmy Johnson. Emmitt Smith. Michael Irvin. Troy Aikman. Bret Farve, Drew Pearson, Tony Dorsett, Ray Lewis, Tony Dungy, Steve Mariucci,...and about a gazillion others. Sorry your Romo jersey is now useless...just buy a new #4...it'll be worth your money.
btw ...Romo was NOT "one play away from the Super Bowl"...there was 4:20 left in that game against the Packers...more delusion on RomoFan brains. As if Aaron Rodgers couldn't possibly move them into fg range in 4 minutes....ASSumptions...you know what they say about them.
they've made good arguments but Romo is clearly the superior quaterback. I'm not saying they should bench Dak in favor of Romo but - Romo is the better quaterback. I've seen many misreads of opposing defenses, premature roll outs, etc. on Dak's part that Romo DEF wouldn't have committed.
I have to admit it, romo is a good football player. He was good on the team and tried before he had the best offensive line in football he'd win games . Romo has been the face of the organization; you hear Dak say it, you hear jerry Jones say it, and a lot of other people on the team want him back because of the experience on how he knows their offense and the defensive looks other teams have. Hands down domo has at most 3,4, or maybe five at most seasons left in him. Romo's record is amazing with wins, and stats. Dak is clearly the future, but the cowboys need to make an important decision for next year wetter the restructure romo's contract or they try to look for a way to either release or trade him to a team desperate for a quarterback
ray said it best, "if Romo comes back and it doesn't work out, that chemistry and roll they were on is ruined." why ruin the wave these guys are on. million dollar question: #StaywithDak #BringbackRomo
I love watching Ray and Shannon together
jbgreeng yeah they have the best stories and seem like best friends. Plus the perspectives are always on point.
capitalf123 Ray said that he lived for months at Sharpe's house in 2000.
Superbowl teammates always and forever will have that bond between them
Ray said it all at the very end.(What's wrong with Romo).
Why ?! Ray Lewis is a great player but I hate to hear em speak 🗣
this was the most intelligent conversation I've heard about the Cowboys
they are cowgirl not cowboy cuz they play like girl
thomassin58 ...
not anymore
+thomassin58 5-1 nice
yup
Agree that Romo wasn't a "born leader" but he developed into one.
Remember when he had lost all his receivers to injury & went into OT against the 49ers with cracked ribs & a punctured lung? He went straight to Jessey Holley, told him to be ready & threw him the game-winning pass. Is that not leadership?
Keize Montoya If that isn't I don't know what is ???
Keize Montoya No no it's not
+COWBOYS FAN NO MATTER THE RECORD OR HATERS L
Finally some is speaking truth. Romo is a leader by his actions.
CAN RAY LEWIS HAVE HIS OWN SHOW, HONESTLY
Ink 29 tbh he's that one dude in the business that can legit have a good show by himself and even go beyond football and sports. Good thought.
HELLYA
him and stephen a smith smith should get 1 on fs1. SAS just gotta leave espn
Todd P Ray Lewis Will Own Him on every Topic
Ink 29 making a murderer?

best debate on cowboys qb situation at the moment thus far
Corbster Mcorbster agreed
Dak is the starter after the bye-week. After that who know's! Its all about the chemistry and momentum right now. Dallas is playing the best football period. It's a balanced attack, melt the clock, ball security, field position team.
after that who knows? I know....it's Dak's job....Romo is 1) traded 2) a backup for a short time 3) retired
Corbster Mcorbster you're right man best one by far
BloozeDaddy Yah who knows? Dak is starting the Philly game. After that who know's??? Because Romo is set to return at that time. Unless Jerry comes up with something or Tony himself declares to Dak.
I hope Ray never leaves this show.
João Paulo why he's annoying af
Quest4Truth must be white

having a 3rd analyst on Undisputed such as Ray Lewis is a good idea. He's talking great sport.
Agreed plus his teammate chemistry with Ray carries over.
I just realized how ancient Skip is.

I still believe Skip is thousands of years old but hasn't aged since he turned 40 🤣
Keep Dak in, but keep Romo just in case. At least til the end of the year.
It feels like the cowboys aren't even worried about other teams in the league. The QB situation is a bigger threat than the NFC east lol.
Lasspeng hold your horses there buddy. Toe to toe in every single position on the cowboys vs the eagles , the cowboys are the better team all around. They don't need to worry about emerging, you do that in pre season.
...Giants....
M45T3RCH13F 54 yeah what about them?
Jay Esparza Lol fr what about umm 😂😂😂
:(
Keep Dak starting, he screws up, you still got room to throw in the game. simple.
ricky king Great for Dak's confidence too
ricky king I agree romo fans don't see that 😑
TheJaylienHD haha
I'll bet you've changed your mind
ray is right about the thought process I just feel way more confident when dak is playing
elchucofried that's what I'm saying I hate That Jason Is a Punk and Not Speaking up for the team its always Jerry like his the coach If you notice Jason haven't Been on Tony Much as Jerry jones Even Jason want to keep Dak in u can tell but doesn't want to say nothing
Them_Eyes_Thou The Coach is that only in name.I never seen a weaker Coach.
Daniel McLaughlin yeah right Smh I did wish he spoke up and say hey Dak is out guy and we Winning
Man I thought the same thing, instead of wondering if romo will win or not now Dak got me thinking okay how bad are we gonna whoop this team by haha

The greatest Middle LB ever, Ray is one of my favorite players who didn't play for Dallas. Much respect to him.
the football segments with Ray and Shannon were the best. Bring Ray back!
When will we see Tony Romo start for the Cowboys again?
if the cowboys and jerry jones have any brains at all, it'll be in retirement as first string couch potato
as soon as he tell his daddy hes ready
UNDISPUTED ON FS1 let Tony be the back up and give dak advise and help dak get better then in the end of the season trade him for a 1 round pick and improve on the defense we need a ware , Newman to improve the defense. or trade for a 2 good defense player that need a qb but that also has the players to keep Tony safe . Dak is playing good but he is not playing lights out. People are just infatuated with the "new" thing
humanparadox He is playing lights out because he's exceeding expectations you're an IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
its called bandwagoning lol
nabeel abbas Romo would of scored 40 on them though lol
humanparadox second best qbr in the league
David Greenberg so when the Cowboys were down by two touchdowns at half time against the 49ers they weren't down and didn't need to score? How do you know that Dak will fail in those situations if he's never been in one?
5:43 Hey skip, I believe the word you're looking for is 'Positivity'.
Ray gotta get rid of that spray on hair
Real bad scalp condition. Was one of the only players allowed to wear cap under his helmet after the rag ban.
I love Tony Romo, but he needs to sit on the bench until Dak begins to struggle. I pray that Jerry Jones doesn't bring him back.
Ramon Mercedes I hope romo comes back against Cleveland because I still believe in romo if healthy and this team especially the offense can reach another level under his leadership and wisdom. ★
Do you wished Romo was back now????
they should let dak play untill he starts doing bad or going on 3game losing streaks.
KERVE HITS yeah at least 3 or 4 games
KERVE HITS but then he loses confidence cuz all he'll be thinking about is how bad he did the ONLY thing you could do is chose who you want leading the team and leave him there no matter what
He is too hott to go on a 3 game losing streak
+Matt XD thats true but i dont think jerry would care.that means now his son romo could keep starting
SandMan 213 no
And u want dirty sanchez as your backup??
I see what you mean but I wouldn't at least not now because anything can happen and I'd much rather have romo as 2nd backup then mark Sanchez as backup
SandMan 213 I say keep him but ask him to take a big pay cut
yeah de cowgirl needs to trade Tony romo

Alexander Coleman but tony's skills aren't regressing payton skills were
wwefanman1000 Peyton wasn't that good in his last couple of years, he was good at managing the game
Alexander Coleman I wouldn't say couple but I definitely know last year he was trash
Alexander Coleman Brock played like 5 games
Without a doubt the best 15 minutes this show has had so far
People keep saying take dak out if he plays bad. What people don't understand is when you get benched for your play, that messes with your psyche just a little bit. It's 2021, and Dak hasn't done any better than Romo.
Hands down the best convo about dak and the Cowboys I've heard since the start of the season..
Undisputed has quickly become one of my favorite sports show. Great commentary and discussion...
As a Giants fan I hope they start romo so we can possibly catch up
3rd highest qbr in NFL history. Won 3/4 games started last season. Went 12-4 the year before. Has been a giant killer his entire career, has won last 7 games vs giants. All facts.
+MrFALLENHER0 how many playoff games he won though compared to Eli??
+Terryl Richey football is a team sport and Romo had a terrible o line for most of his career and no running game for most of his career
+Terryl Richey 2 which is good considering the teams he had those years. right now romo has the best team around him that hes ever had and has a legit chance at a super bowl this season. if we had him week 1 we would be 6-0

The most intelligent sports conversation about the Cowboys in a very long while.... much better than the conversations between Skip & Stephen A. previously held on First Take.
Wasn't Shannon the one saying a couple weeks ago that the cowboys have not beat anybody? Now he is saying what they have is magical?
Glock2201 - I think he probably said it yesterday. Haha
Glock2201 yes and?
Glock2201 Would you watch this if he and Skip would agree on every topic?!
Glock2201..lol yep..Dak's done made a believer out of em...u can only deny it for so long...he saw it he just didn't wanna admit it😃😃💯
A few weeks ago we hadnt beat anyone legit yet
I like how undisputed brings on Ex players and coaches and voices something firsttake hardly ever did.
mrhl2008 that's because skip and stephan a are in over their heads debating with coaches
That spray bigen is something serious on Rays head 😏
Love this show... Actually a good, professionally done debate. R.I.P First Take... way too much yelling and throwing tantrums going on
If romo watched this he would cry himself too sleep.
kastrolxp lol ★😬
As much money as Romo gets to sit on the bench he's not crying.
kastrolxp its true
not with that bank account
😂😂😂
i love that shannon keep saying skip while talking
I wonder how they feel now
Trade romo to a decent team so i can root for them.
Steve Smith lol the accuracy in this comment I'm right there with ya
Steve Smith trade him to the Jets with Marshall and forte!
+SKB1988 and cowboys get a 3 or 4 pick and Leonard Williams, that would be a great trade
Steve Smith why not just make him a reliable backup behind dak?
you either have IT, or you do not have IT. Dak was Born with IT! Dak has IT, naturally born with IT!
@@Marcusce20 still wondering lol
it would appear that the o-line in Dallas can't protect immobile, brittle Romo. the line is made for a running offense, rb and qb. time to move on from Romo I think.
King none I've been trying to tell ppl that but they keep thinking romo is A-Rod Big Ben
Then if that's the case let's stop saying that they are the best line in sports. If they can't pass protect for a guy who doesn’t scramble.....
Key word..MAGIC..that's what we have with Dak and Zeke..
How's that Dak situation working out now?? LMAO!!!
@james jordan how many Dak got? 😂
It took R. Lewis to go on undisputed for Shannon to finally give the Cowboys some love.
Dak is a back up qb having success whts the point of having a back up who cant win? why are back ups expected to be trash?
william rhodes ikr I get so confused???
william rhodes just because a player is a rookie doesn't mean he's a bench player
william rhodes I been saying this for years
exactly I think at all times the point is to win in bball players come off the bench and still perform at q high level itw weird to me in football the 2nd string qbs are always trash
It's the NFL , if Dak stays healthy then he should remain the starter. Romo needs to wait until Dak screws up badly or gets hurt before he's named the starter again. O nly reason to play Romo would be to watch him get hurt again.
Ray was right on it at the end
It's magic don't change it Jerry !!!!!
Honestly, I can see romo going to the Bears. We love to get dudes AFTER they're done & injured.😑
My top 5 cowboys
Deion sanders
Demarco Murray
Dez Bryant
Emmitt smith
CD Lamb
Every conversation with Ray Lewis is a great one, he's one of the only people when he speak you listen! I hope you continue to have him on!
Looks like Shannon finally jumped on the Cowboys train after dogging Skip for the last 6 weeks.
Dak is better than tony romo ever was even now
of course he is...he can run...he can pass...he doesn't panic....he's actually in great physical shape....and he's 13 years younger.
***** there only winning season with romo was 2014 when they went 12-4 and this season DAK has gone 5-1 I'm sure Romo still can start for many teams
personally i say start romo and see how he does for the 1st 4 games after the bye just ti give him a chance to make a statement. if he does what he did in 2014 and plays good keep your boy in but if hes playing like trash start dak
DAM SKIP, U THROWING ROMO UNDER THE BUS!! I BELIEVE ROMO IS STILL A MAJOR FORCE IN FOOTBALL!! I STILL BELIEVE ROMO CAN GET THE DALLAS COWBOYS A SUPERBOWL WIN!!! DAK IS F**KING AWESOME!! GO DALLAS COWBOYS!!!
force Thrown ROMO is not a force. Sorry but it's true.
force Thrown I agree Tony Nomo has done nothing for the cowboys for about ten years! 10 years to 2 playoff wins not very good
Wow this is wayyy better than First Take!!!
Romo's upside is better at 36 and injury prone? Romo has failed year after year but his upside is better? What planet do you live on?
YouHateMe Romo failed last year? How? By getting injured?
Robert Julien I said Romo failed year after year. I didn't point out last year specifically. He's either injured or choking, neither of the two are good for the team.
Robert Julien 5 tds. 7 ints. ..that blows
that magic they're talking about, the chemistry between team mates, that all plays a big part in how well any team is doing. Quarterback is an important position. To change it now, you're risking losing that magic and confidence your team has in their field general. Once that confidence is gone it won't be as simple as just putting Dak back in to play.
Yes, reminds you of Old" I totally agree
Ray’s hair is fckin hilarious
Shannon all of a sudden on Dak's nuts just cuz Ray there... as soon as Ray leaves, the hate will continue. Pretty funny IMO
After watching this it made me wanna watch some reruns from this season
"but Ray, you know you can't play tomorrow" i cry laughing every time i come across that bit.
Ray Lewis is one of those football players u can envision reading a book without pictures in it..
All this talk about Dak and look at him now 😂😂 I love watch the Cowboys let all their believers down
im not giving up on romo DC4L
Ride the wave! Don't stop the momentum this Dallas Team had at the moment
fox sports 1 is taking over! this is better than first take.
THEY HAVE THE BEST OFFENSIVE LINE IN FOOTBALL. It doesn't matter if tony is starting or dak, either way zeke will keep eating and whoevers throwing will be fine lol
Romo will be starting QB for Jets next year.
This was a good debate.
This is what a sports talk show is all about!
couldnt agree more with ray
When Dak was lighting up the Steelers Romo was laughing on camera. I THINK ROMO accepts it.
If Tony is traded He will beat the Cowboys in the playoffs.
Romo to Houston for Clowney and picks. Also Dak benefits from good timing....Elliott. Romo is like "Give me Elliott and watch what I can do." A valid THOUGHT that respectfully loses out to what's been SEEN.
miss the 1990's cowboys man hope this young cowboy squad can do wonders like that.
I think Romo is a talented qb and has probably had more bad luck than some with injuries and plays not going his way. However nobody is going to care too much in the end if the results are not there. The Cowboys have been waiting for a dominant run for way too long to let this slip by. Nothing to lose in letting it play out at least for the next few weeks.
it's not like we're trading dax! away if Romo gets his shot!
I agree with everything both Shannon and skip said but let's not forget the " players" we have had when Tony took over, especially not that o-line.
They should add ray Lewis to the show
This is Dak's team period!! Even if and when trouble comes, they need to stick with him and let him, and the team grow!
everything they say is spot on...i'm just hurt for romo i love that guy but his time in dallas is over :/
Ray Lewis the greatest speaker in history.
ray be spittin straight up fax wew
Romo to Jets
I agree with everything but the "recapturing", I think we would be able to recapture this chemistry at the start of the next year if Romo leaves and Dak plays
excellent discussion!!!!! love the common sence that came out of each commentator's mouth ..truly hope cowboys move on with dak
AGREE! 100% If Romo is a team player he will step aside.
Random but Ray Lewis needs to visit the same barber who fixed up Jamie Foxx's hairline
Ray Lewis about to rip his jacket in two
yea thats a good sign,in the 90's they never worried about the other teams in their division..their mindset was how was we gonna beat the 49ers in the nfc championship game....
just go with Prescott Jerry Joans
Wonder what they think now Dak has done nothing Romo hasn't done and Romo had less talent around him
speculation after speculation. how do ppl not know if Dallas gets better with Romo? no one would do this with Cam, Ryan, Flacco, and Palmer.
Dak should start against Philly and then play Romo in Cleveland and go from there with
Flynt Coal
make more excuses....Manning is a sure fire HOF QB...Romo? not so much.
As if Aaron Rodgers couldn't possibly move them into fg range in 4 minutes....ASSumptions...you know what they say about them.
haven't been excited to see football like this in a while. I'm glad we got someone to build on.
they've made good arguments but Romo is clearly the superior quaterback.
