Been saying for years that the combine and these pro days are a waste of time !!! Football players play football not do drills in shorts & t-shirts. The pro days for QBs is liken to a broadway show, they're both scripted. The QB is throwing a script of about 25 plays that he's been practicing for about a month. How is that judging a QB? Does that tell if he can read a defense, does that judge if he can throw to a hot read? I cringe every time I hear someone say "he can make all of the throws". I would freakin' hope so considering he plays QB. Jerry Rice left college with 301 catches, 4,693 yards and 50 TDs and fell to 16th in the draft. He ran about 4.8/40 at the combine and most teams dropped him way down on their board. When Bill Walsh was asked if they were worried about Rice's lack of speed he gave a classic answer. Walsh said about Rice, "we watched all of his college tape and we never saw anybody catch him from behind". Rice had game speed, not straight away track speed.
