Thank you for the great review! We will be coming up with something new & better to improve our product experience in the future. Stay tuned!
Your welcome! I’m very much looking forward to what you create next! 👍
Hey Rokid! I just got my glasses recently, and I think they're awesome 👌 👏 but I noticed there's not that many apps still on your store. Are you planning to increase the amount of apps supported? This thing has a lot of potential.
I have the Rokid and when you use the AR app you can also pin up to 3 screens that will hold their position. Thanks for the review.
you‘ve had any problems with the sharpness of the screens edges?
Hey Bob, I have a question for you about the Rokid's... I wear glasses for being near-sighted, can I adjust the rokid's for poor eye sight? Or do I have to get the prescription glasses for it?
@@MrRunItUp I have rokids and yes you can on too there are things you can turn that adjust to your eyesight
I can pin three screens with windows? Like as multiple displays? And they stay fixed in the space? Or when I turn my head do they turn with me or when I turn my head do I look at different monitors? And the monitor stay in place?
Wait what, U can pin the screens, that's awesome
Great review!! This is the first video I’ve seen comparing two AR glasses, the positives and the negatives 🙌🏾❤️
I have the nreal glasses and I love them. My critique of the nreal is that they are awesome, but it took me awhile to position my prescription lenses on the nose clips and connecting them to the nreal’s. They should add a more descriptive section in the manual on how to place them and insert them properly .
Thank you and yes I agree!
damien, does Any eye glass business fill these lenses or do only certain eyeglass companies? i know some businesses only want you to use Their frames.
Hey Damien, that's a great point. We're working on ways to improve our prescription lens inserts. We're glad to hear that you're enjoying your Nreal Air glasses!
@@XREAL_Global I have been trying to purchase on Amazon for some time now, but they are saying that shipping is not available in Portugal. I really want these glasses.
@@osirisfarao4498 Thank you for your interest! We're still working on the best way to launch in Europe, however it's on our roadmap!
I am not buying another TV since these are perfect for me. I no longer have to worry about glare on the TV or how bright the room is. Or how huge the TV is and the design of the room being impacted. These are so much cheaper than buying a gigantic screen TV or projector. I just bought a huge screen for my laptop and I guess I should have just saved the money to buy a cheaper laptop for gaming etc. I can see TV and computer sales being heavily impacted by these. It may sound weird but I stopped watching TV/movies and just watch my RUclips videos. Of course I still game since I started with the text games in the 70's. You cannot beat the variety I get from RUclips with comedy, news, music, art, economics and how to make anything. I am retired so I have seen all those movies and prefer a good book anyway. Thanks for the video. Sigh, you kids are so lucky since my first computer cost as much as a car and didn't even have a hard drive, screen or printer. I was so proud of my floppy drives and a TV was cheaper than a monitor for color display.
Thank you for your feedback 👍
The Rokid also have opacity adjustment which will help the battery life.
Thanks for making this video. These are the 2 headsets that I was looking to buy for flights and watching movies. I have the Quest 2 and don’t feel comfortable using them on plane.
U can’t use a quest in a plane the motion won’t allow u to use it, u can’t use them in any moving vehicle
@@ImfrankNitty I’ve never tried using them on plane or car. I did not know you couldn’t. Thanks
@@ImfrankNitty You can. I've used mine in both. You can even use it laying down. You just have to turn off the tracking/ Guardian lines.
@@Vestat1 it doesn’t hand track while your moving that fast,
No problem 👍
I just got a pair of the Nreal glasses. I haven't done much with them yet, but I have a scenario at my house that these are PERFECT for. my Wife and I work different shifts and I'm usually awake when shes asleep and obviously the TV in the bedroom is too bright and hard to sleep through. With these glasses I was able to still be in the room in the dark watching Netflix with my leg on hers for that "couples contact" effect and not keeping her awake. I've watched movies in there with my Oculus Quest2 but with the battery pack headstraps its just not comfortable to lay down. I'm super glad I bought these and I'm going to try them out with my steamdeck, N Switch and hopefully the windows app comes out soon too.
This is hands-down the best comparison review on the web. Thank you for putting this together.
Thank you for the kind words, your welcome! 🙏
I'm a huge fan of your tech bro and I've always wanted to see one of those AR headsets in a good demo since their emergence ....now the hard part is going to be buying/affording one.....
Thank you, I hope you can obtain one soon
Finally a product that thought about the Android user first instead of the Apple user. I purchased the NReal AR Glasses and got them a few days ago and Wow they are the best Tech product I have purchased in awhile. The video quality is amazing. I don't leave home without them now. Just to even watch football out on my patio with this amazing crystal clear 200 inch screen in front of me is just awesome. I'm so glad I purchased these AR Glasses can't wait to use them on a flight.
Amazon notified me today that mine should come in today. I'm so excited to try them out.
Ive heard people raving these up i thought it was hype but youre making me believe it lmao. Can i play xbox series s on it? 60hz?
@@j_hutchinson me too ! Should be here by 8 pm !
@@ssserotonin1373 yes you can !
Nice! 👍
Getting the rokids because of the SBS 3D support. Finally a portable screen with high ppi for some pc 3d gaming goodness just like the good ol nvidia 3D vision days.
3d Really work? What kind of games do you play in 3d. Regards .
@@garyrato5938 Hi, sorry about the late answer. I have only tested the 3D on steam deck so far with Citra. The side by side 3D works as intended with one annoyance. The picture size decreases to about half. Not sure if this is due to the steam deck but will try with reshade and my pc.
@@garyrato5938 Ok, here comes the full report.
I can happily announce that 3D gaming works on pc when using the Rokid, but you need mods unless the game itself supports side by side 3D (there are a few oldies that does that). To save time I bought Vorpx and it is stunning.(I also tried reshade superdepth but it was totally useless on its own). With Vorpx I played Halo Masterchief collection in full HD and fullscreen 3D. My God does it look spectacular! I tried a VR mod on resident evil 2 and while VR does not work on Rokid I could still move around in the 3D environment. It was the best 3D I have experienced outside of reality lol.
I like more Rokid because I wear normal glasses so it's nice that Rokid has these knobs.
Hello, In terms of image quality, sharpness and image fluidity, which do you prefer?
I like the rokid for the look but the Nreal has more features that the rokid does not like the proximity sensor
My question is which one works better for the steam deck
This was a great video, I'd love to see more info on the software for Nreal Air. I'm hoping they will make improvements to compatibility with windows so that you can have multiple monitors hooked up in 3D space.
Thank you and I agree!
According to the subreddit the nebula app for windows is on the Roadmap.
@@zalcandil funny cause I just saw them say there are no plans for currently which is a real bummer. Mostly cause the correct usb c protocol is so rarely implemented across windows pcs and laptops
Wow dude, your channel name checks out, this is extremely well made and informative, I saw "20 minutes" and thought it was going to be regurgitated crap like 99% of other "tech youtubers" out there but this was worth every second, thank you so much for the informative video!

@@InappropriateShorts already do lol
Sent my Nreal Airs back. I found the arms created pressure points on the side of my head. They also didn't work with my phone despite my phone being on the compatible list. My optometrist also sent the lens template back to me as they were too small for them to make Rx lenses for me. Might give the Rokid a try but so far the Nreal Air glasses have been a bit of a pain and not worth it...yet. Beautiful screens but too many issues.
Such a shame I think I will have the exact same issue. Let me know if you ever find something that works
Something that was missing from this video was putting your hand or something on the other side, to see how you can see your hand and the screen at the same time. To have a sense of what it would be to be driving and having gps at the same time
Love to be able to use those n real glasses for phone, but would be great at work too when the windows get a compatibility bump
The Rokid also have the operating system that you can pin up to 3 screens that will stay in the position you place them and when you look away, they still stay where you put them until you look back toward them. More research is needed in the Rokid. It does almost the same as the Nreal.
Is that an app on your phone and do you know if they can do that on your PC as well?
The nreal airs do that too
What is the max screan resulution if you have 3 montiors connected to the your pc?
@@imacomputer101 it's fixed when using the nebula software
I brought rokid first because the price cheaper then Nreal , but then I ordered nreal , man the nreal is winning , the colour is sharp and more clear then rokid
Cant wait to play the switch with these. Switcher 3 in ar. Sick.
rokid looks better. but not having option to pin view to a point and move head is a deal breaker
I like the Rokid Air’s design. But then nreal has better features in my opinion. Thanks for taking the time to explain.
in fact AR existed when PS Vita came out, i played free game called Tabletop Tanks on it with AR tag cards.
great video! still trying to decide on which to get. I love how the rokid has the adjustment for near sighted people. I am near sighted. I also love seeing rokid responding to comments to this video. Shows they're active and eager to improve their products. I think the video stated that nreal are more proactive working with other companies like apple and working on other projects to expand their market. Hopefully rokid will catch up to that. But seeing rokid's comments is making me lean towards them more. If Rokid reads my comments, any idea on if you guys will be adding a built in camera to the glasses? I'm thinking if it adjusts to near sightedness, if adding a camera to it, I don't need to buy a glasses anymore. I can view the video feed that is adjusted to my vision. Also Rokid, would you guys be adding that black out cover like nreal for the full "vr" experience? Thank you
Hey there! We feel inspired by your comment, we appreciate the great discussions from those in the AR community. With AR wearables being an emerging form of tech, we're always looking at how we can improve our products, that's why we appreciate these comments. The AR community is very important to us, whether or not they use our products, so we take every bit of feedback and use it to make what we do at Nreal even better.
@@XREAL_Global hey glad to see a response from nreal! I hope to see the adjustment for near sightedness. I also want to see the nebula app expand to windows and iOS. Just so strange that it is only on android phones. How are android phones capable and a full windows computer is not capable of the nebula app. Anyways love both of these ar glasses. Hope to see more progress!

Our hardware designers have read this - we will think hard about it and hopefully come up with something to better the diopter adjustment to cope with different people's eye vision. 2. Yes, we do have the blackout covers available now on our online store, and we are preparing to giving out free units to our verified customers in the community. Feel free to check them out! Same! 👍
Just ordered a pair of nreal airs after doing research. Can't wait to try them out.
How have they been ?
Update us bro!
I want the nreal but i use corrective lens so i got the Rokid Air AR Glasses
I know the nreal air you could get prescription inserts but thats another cost !
Inserts are included, you only need to cut them at your doctors
Does Rokid Air Glasses really eliminate the need of prescription glasses? How well does it work for that purpose?
@@mdnightman Hi Rokid supports nearsightness 0 to -5. If you eye sight is within that range, you will be in clarity.
Id probably get the rokid specifically for the eye adjustment feature. Nreal wants you to get some 3rd party store to install perscription lenses, as if lol.
Amazing review. I just don't know if this helped or made it even more difficult to decide. Thanks :)
when prices come down to 250 it will sell better. then i would consider them to purchase. at this price its too expensive
How do you feel about the Viture One in comparison with Nreal Air and Rokid Air in terms of hardware, performance, and comfort for daily use?
Thank you man ! Realy helpful..😃🤙
Great in depth video! Are you planning to compare the Nreal to the Viture XR Glasses? Thanks!
Your video cut off at end. You never finished the sentence or review. 😢
Love this review! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you and your very welcome! 👍
One think, batteries and charges, and if they having sensors to adjust to your vision by itself within help of application on your phones.
The fact that you can see it from the front doesn’t make it private anymore
To avoid battery draining from your device you will have either to wait for nreal to release the direct power they have in mind to add to the adapter they sell, or waste a lot of money in a hub with a 'USB-c video secondary' port (one of them being the dell wd19 or wd19s, the s being the new one with no 3.5 audio jack, cause they suck)
If your phone has wireless charging then charging it that way could work also.

Nreal Air look amazing as I can go unnoticed in a cafe, on a train, driv...erm, in the office. I have a Moto with a 5 day battery, such a shame this won't work with it. I used an Oculus Go for ages but the resolution was poor. This is amazing. Is this the best resolution for portable media?

Thanks for the wonderful review. Do you know if it’s comparable with the iPad Air 5 USB-C model, with or without adapters? And how is it writing on a word processor app like iOS pages? Is the text big and clear enough to read?
I will be buying Nreal Air based on your comparison.
It’s better than the other one?
Does it have to play on ur device and glasses simultaneously? Like, can the phone be turned off? More privacy.
Wanted to know about the experience while watching a video is it really 120 inches screen?? And if the screen is too close how a big screen come in field of view..
Hello what is to prefer when i want just a Display replacement for Gaming Normal Games? Thx for Help.
bluetooth still too slow for wireless video projection
They're not really augmented reality yet I would hold off on your money I own a pair of Rokid Glasses it's pretty limited in what it can do in the Cinema mode. Wether or not nreal glasses is limited or not on what it does I would just wait until next generation glasses come out this is more for early adopters is what it looks like nothing compared to Hololens at all. Don't get baited into the hype where they're out of this world because these FMD have already existed and are being re mastered. I wish someone would make an affordable pair of video headset with a big screen non vr to watch streaming apps in
Okay, please help me out here: Maybe I am not aware or got it wrong:
I watched some reviews. Some said "There are no batteries in the glasses, so you always have to connect it to a device."
Yet, why should I load it then and why using BT or Wfii, if i'd need a connection anyways??
I like the Rokid Air because you can order the ultimate bundle package. Just to let you know that they are working on figuring out why it drains your devices batteries. If I were you which I'm not I've would've waited for an update on the Rokid Air just like your mobile devices send out updates to keep things smooth and safe and gives more stuff to work with you have android devices or ios devices. Just keep doing the reviews. You could've let Rokid know why the Rokid Airs are draining your devices batteries and hopefully they'll fix it.
How important is ipd with this? I'm nervous that one eye will be presented an image differently than the other
Can you see big pixels? They say 120" display picture with 1080p - if it was a tv - grain of pixels would be huge
Cool glasses i Like the Air Looks more my type of glasses style plus i can see myself wearing it anywhere outside or indoor like Mall. 🙂
I feel like clipping screens to fixed positions is a big plus for nreal
which glasses are the best glasses like this for google maps? That is the main use case, the rest is just for fun
Great review. Thank you! Thumbs up 👍🏾
Thank you! 🙏
which one shall I buy?
I wanted to get glasses to work on. The nreal ones had patches of blurry text. I got replacements and they were still blurry. I'm a bit afraid to try rokid, but if someone can say they have clear text I'd get them
Miatopia? Lol I think you meant myopia, which is nearsightedness, that's an awesome feature because I need reading glasses to focus on anything within 3 feet with my contacts in.
I have been trying to purchase on Amazon for some time now, but they are saying that shipping is not available in Portugal. I really want these glasses.
Which one do you prefer In term of display?
Both are great but I went with the Nreal Air’s
So which one can you use as VR glasses too
NREAL but are they good?
Hi! On which of them black colour is more black?)) for watching movies
I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max that uses USB-C at the bottom and not Lightning connector at the bottom. Do I still need to purchase the Nreal Air Adapter? Since I am USB-C on the bottom of this version of iPhone, I assume I can skip purchasing that adapter. Am I missing some concept here???
I also assume I absolutely don't need the Apple Lightning to Digital AV Adapter as well.
what's the difference between smart and are glasses
Does it have any screen-door effect like VR headsets ? I returned my Quest because it caused me headaches !
No screen door effect. It’s surprisingly clear.
Seems device compatibility list is very limited, especially if you live in UK, so be aware!
Hi I m from Portugal
I m blind on left eye and only see 1/10 on left eye.
, but I can see through the iPhone screen. I need a smart glasse that send to the left lense a screen and see trough that screen in glasse.
With that brightness and contrast I m autonomus.
This glasses can do this? Tks
Is the screen size the same on both of them? I see what you mean having the Rokid Air. It's super clear but it still feels smaller than a normal monitor. Perhaps it has something to do with running it on my Mac Mini. I assume the Android app might make a large difference too?
So I have the Nreal air, I can’t use the glasses with my Xbox series X and PS5 but it works with my Apple TV
You need the adapter
@@reviewthebest I have the adapter and I still can’t get it to work?
@@EmmanuelTheodore I’ll try to notify Nreal maybe they can help
Wireless is NOT a good idea, the batterylife would be a major problem and the WEIGHT of batteries and additional RF circuits make the glasses clumsy...
Better would be to really search for a fine USB cable.
As an Australian, I don't think I can buy either of these. Which sucks. If I could I'd probably go for whichever one lets me also hook a battery pack to my phone, since Inhave one that can keep my phone charged for pretty much the whole day, no issues.
the newer phones allow the dongle with the external battery pack and additional connections. Could you imagine phones if they were actually thunderbolt? oh my
I wonder if I could use these with my ATN Thor 4 or X-Sight 4K Pro. I may have to run the scope through the Obsidian app on the phone and Mirror it on the Glasses. Any Thoughts on this
maybe i will wait like 3 to 4 years before buy them or for better models to come out because currently there to bulky and to noticeable
So I can attach thermal camera on either of them?
They should make the glasses like Oakley prism goggles for say snowboarding, we look normal but more immersive 🤷🏽♂️
Have you tried tcl nxtwear
I would like a comparison if you have ability to do so
No, I’ll have to check it out thank you for the recommendation
Both are 1080p resolution?
For Nreal Air, can directly plugged in🥰
Hey guys if you are someone who uses apple products do one of these work better than the other?
I used an iPhone and Android on them and both work great!
Looks like a
silly question but I didn't find the answer: Does the cell phone screen turn off while the glasses are connected? (to save battery)
From what I can find, it depends. If you're mirroring your screen, nreal is running in the foreground so it doesn't, but if you're using something like Samsung Dex to stream a movie, it'll work even if the phone is locked
I have a question, amazon prime video does not display on rokid air. Does it display on nreal?
my choose would be Nreal AR glasses
So can I plug these into my PC and play actual VR games?
I need to try some of these out, maybe save a few $$$ to add these.
When will NEBULA be available on the galaxy tablets? I want to use these with my S7+
Thank you for the excellent video! The real question I have is connectivity. For example I have read many sources that says the Nreal can't connect to a Google pixel phone. What about the rokit air?
Great question. Does anyone know?
Is this because the Google Pixel USB C Port does not support video out? I know One Plus and Samsung phones can do this.
You absolutely need video out on your device
can these be used on a work computer for work?
I can’t get my glasses to mirror my iPad Pro and ideas?
Grave review! Thank you..
Thank you! 🙏 and your welcome glad you enjoyed the review!
Can u make the Nreal's screen follow to ur head to where ur looking at as well ?
Hi.
You said it is possible to connect these glasses to a playstation or Xbox!
How is that possible ? PlayStation and Xbox uses hdmi interface for audio and video transmission, gaming consoles don't just do usb type c connection only for controller charging purposes
Usb-c to hdmi adapter.
Does it work on Android?
I have The rokid air and i love them
Can the rokid cable can use for the nreal?
both of them looks useless. Why would I drain my eyes when i can play on my tablet, pc, steam deck or w/e? I need AR glasses with PRACTICAL stuff, that can make photos, record videos, display various useful information without blocking all of my vision. Option to display range between Y and X with up to 0.01 mm would useful as well.
