Thanks so much! I’m starting a 4 year old QH she likes to GO and I’m developing strong muscles I feel, trying to keep her from going fast. She is getting a little better however is there something else I can do to explain to her. I don’t want her to develop a hard mouth
You're welcome, and thank you for watching and your question! I'd say start by focussing on riding your youngster more from the seat than with your hands. There are a number of videos that may give you some ideas on how to approach this goal. First have a look at the other videos in this series (and there will be more to come): Inviting My Horse To Be ON THE BIT (1) ‘The Circle Of Aids’ & Riding In ‘Shoulder-To-Shoulder Mode’ - ruclips.net/video/OlR7tP29Bn8/видео.html Inviting My Horse To Be ON THE BIT (2) Understanding And Building A Vocabulary With My Horse - ruclips.net/video/x_EaRcTcfCw/видео.html Inviting My Horse To Be ON THE BIT (3) Introducing Counter Flexion On Curved Lines In The Walk - ruclips.net/video/_u__gf8n3l4/видео.html Inviting My Horse To Be ON THE BIT (4) Walk-Trot Transitions On Curved Lines - ruclips.net/video/VlCXF6eERcU/видео.html Inviting My Horse To Be ON THE BIT (5) Walk-Trot Transitions On Straight Lines - ruclips.net/video/dJ_KAd1zHRI/видео.html And also, have a look at the ones in my playlists called 'Exercises For 'Hot, Run-Away Horses,' 'Dressage Seat & Aids' and 'Dressage Basics.' I love that you're so thoughtful in your approach with your mare. Let me know how it goes! :)
